I am writing with concern to see if the recall on my daughters 2003 Toyota air bag issue was truly fixed, she was involved in a traffic accident where according to everyone's opinion the airbags should have went off however they did not. Is there any way to see if the recall work was actually done by the company who states they did the repair ??.

The drivers side head light has a v shape "void" in its pattern and makes the car unsafe to drive at night. The passenger side does not exhibit this same pattern, so when negotiating a left hand curve, the void is very noticeable and makes seeing up ahead in the distance very difficult (not possible). This happens to fall in the area of what I would call my "look ahead distance" and as such makes the car unsafe to drive at night. This "void" is not present when the head lights are put on "high", so I feel it is a led light bulb issue more than anything else. . . But the servicing dealer refuses to fix this problem citing a similar 2020 Corolla displays the same pattern. They pulled another car into the shop and displayed it along with mine against a wall. While I agree the patterns on the wall looked similar, this was not a good test because you need to see what pattern of light is cast down range at night. Please see attached picture. If all newer model Corolla se exhibit this light pattern, than the vehicles need to be recalled and fixed along with mine.

Noted over head light by the back seat making a electrical static noise while the car was running on a city street and was about to make a right turn suddenly the engine died, steering wheel became stiffed not able to manuever, eps light came out battery was fully charge for some reason still draining the power down to 9. 6 volts from 12volts. Please see attached photo per my mechanic same problem from Toyota yaris 2005. This part is called the electric power actuator for electric power steering. Electrical system which on the board (green color)has malfunction causing the eps or steering wheel becoming stiff and battery to drained. When car is running and accidentally run over something like hump or any debris the malfunction will start. This is what happenned to me when I was about to turn right theres a hump. This part cost a lot and hopefully Toyota will enlighthen with this problem. I just want to help and let others be aware. I just currently bought my Toyota Corolla last March 2016 and I dont think I deserve to pay the cost of this malfuction which Toyota made. Thank you very much and I am looking forward for your help. Just imagine if this thing happen to you or to your family. Thank you.

1. This form assumes I own the vehicle. A better form should be available where I can report issues with other vehicles. So most of incident data is not relevant in this complaint. 2 actual complaint is regarding 2015 and newer Toyota Corollas. Their low beam head lights are blinding and a danger. A recall must be issued to fix the low beams.
Airbag light has stayed on since the car was serviced by Toyota dealer in des moine, iowa in Nov. 2016. Toyota of cincinnati just told me over the phone it would cost over $600 to fix it without even seeing the car.

Projector lights cause what appears to be a black curtain painted across the upper half of my windshield and I cannot see street signs. This curtain also bounces when going up and down any slope in the road and while going down slope the light appears to be driven down into the road surface.
Please look into all 2015+ Toyota Corollas with the high intensity discharge lights seem to be aimed higher than normal or have improper light taming lenses. When approaching they blind oncoming drivers.
On the freeway driving and eighteen wheeler came over on my car and hit and dragged my until my detached from the truck spin around and the back of my car slammed into the median wall. The air bags did not deploy.
When driving the Toyota Corolla s 2015 at night and especially when going downhill, half of the windshield is dark horizontally from the middle up. Some drivers and passengers may experience more depending on the height of the person driving or riding in the vehicle. The windshield appears to go completely dark in some cases and is very scary! this is my dads car and he is 67 years old and is scared to drive at night due to this problem. I am 36 years old and at the time I thought it was just him complaining. However, I drove the car tonight 9/9/2015 and it was scary to go downhill, and this problem needs to be addressed very soon before someone gets badly hurt or killed. If you turn the high beams on you do not have this problem. This does not help when you have to turn back off the high beams due to another car coming towards you of course. Another person described it very well on this site https://www-odi. Nhtsa. Dot. Gov/ having the same problem. The following information was sent in by cullman, al, USA and he or she described it best below: "the low-beam light design on the lens cover cuts off the top view of light at night time. You see light from the ground up but only halfway up. From there you only see darkness. It looks like a half-lit moon beam from the ground up. You only see the bottom half of the trees it is like a straight line drawn between the middle of your view in front of the car. White on the bottom half and black on the top half. I am scared to death to drive my car around curves and lulls in the roads. Your night vision is extremely limited. It is very straining to have to look ahead and at the same time you have to keep two different colors separated. ".

I was going to park my car in an empty parking spot, was just in idle speed putting the car into the parking space when all of it sudden the car started accelerating by itself. Because of the acceleration my car hit the car that was park in front of me, the acceleration was so sudden and it pick up enough speed and force to move the park car three to five inches from its resting point. That is how the accident happen. Also the airbags did not open when my car hit the other car.

Airbag light still on after Toyota dealer replace the airbag inflator module and they refused to repair. Report receipt date: Jun 20, 2014 NHTSA campaign number: 14v350000 component(s): air bags.
Was driving thru heavy snow and got stuck; lower amber side light (right) popped out. Lower bumper broke.
As I approached traffic lights, I had to apply the breaks as yellow light was on but the car was still accelerating. Even after the breaks were completely applied, it went forward. To my bad, it was a snowy day in my place and my car skidded in to the left turn lane, got crashed in to the other car. My car's front bumper, head lights and couple of other parts were replaced for which I have spent $500 out of my pocket and the remaining amount was paid by my insurance company. Luckily there were no injuries to me, my 7 month pregnant wife and the other car driver. Obviously my insurance premium got increased, my driving history was affected and car value is decreased due to accident history. My car tires and breaks were in perfect condition when this incident happened. Now I am afraid to drive my car especially when it approaches traffic lights I feel extremely nervous. Whenever I recollect this bad moment I feel depressed. Please look into the issue. Requesting Toyota to do the needful to remove such defects from their vehicles.

"takata recall" on 7/3/13, left work at 2:30 from fm1960 and aldine westfield. Took the on ramp of west loutetta to get off of ramp. I inched up to the intersection and the at&trepairman thought I was going, so, he gunned it. Needdlesstosay, I recieved spinal injuries, and the airbag never popped out. Years later, it is still indicating as implemented to no avail. I was told that the repairing of this problem is a massive undertaking. Of which I thought was going to be taken care of when the car was being repaired.
Drove into a gas station to buy gas, put car in park, stepped out to pump cas, noticed car moving, jump in to stop it, car accelrated and crashed into building, causing damage to both car and building.

In late 2004, I financed a brand new 2005 Toyota Corolla while residing in south florida. In summer 2008, I relocated to massachusetts. It was in winter 2008 that the engine warning lamp illuminated. I immediately took the vehicle to a Toyota dealership. I wasn't really given a real explanation of why the warning lamp was illuminated. I was quickly told it could be fixed. So I paid approx. $800. 00 to supposedly have it fixed. Literally, two weeks later the engine warning lamp came back on. I took it back to the same Toyota dealership and they told me they don't know what's wrong and would have to run more diagnostic test that would cost additional money. At the time, I did not have additional money since I had just dished out nearly $800. 00. I have taken the vehicle to independent auto shops in which they have not been able to diagnose the problem. In the state of massachusetts, yearly inspections of an operating vehicle is required. For the past years, I have had to have the light manually turned off hoping that it would not come on in time for the car to be inspected. The car has failed on several occasions because the engine warning lamp illuminated. In addition to the engine warning lamp being illuminated, I have also and still experience harsh shifting. The harsh shifting started approx. In late 2009/2010. I also started noticing decreased lighting visibility in 2011. At night, I have to drive with my high beams to see properly. Out of frustration, I gave up on trying to find the cause for these issues. I just dealt with it. I don't frequently use the vehicle now because I live in an area that is accessible to public transportation that allows me to get to work. Most recently, I was informed by a fellow Corolla owner that in 2009-2010 Toyota recalled for engine and engine cooling and headlamps. I never received notifications of such recalls!.
Daytime running lights, drl problem. I am often required to drive with lights off on property as an astronomer at nighttime. My 2005 Toyota Corolla lights are always on even when the lights are in the off position. If stalked or my girlfriend drives the car we could not turn them off and drive away and escape alive. This is a hazard that can cause death or rape from stalkers or robbers. I often am alone at night in dark deserted areas and need to be able to turn light off or on as needed. I could not get on the observatory property due to this defect.
Light bulbs blow intermittantly.
