While driving the car started to sputter like it was going to die. When I stopped to gas the next day a gush of air came out of the gas tank when I took the cap off. I put gas in and then my car wouldn’t start. For 3 hours I tried and finally it started. Now I can have in park and it revs clear to the 5 sometimes then it starts sputtering. Every time I put gas in I have to sit for 3 hours then it starts. The trac off light on the dash is on as well so nothing works the lane control, cruise control, the emergency brake system.

Fuel is not filling up all the way. Fuel has once splashed out when stopped automatically. Used to have around 445 miles per tank, but now around 395. It had started around 59000 miles. I have had the dealership inspect and see if their were engine codes but there weren’t any. The time and care shouldn’t stop just because the check engine light isn't on as it may be a safety or mechanical issue in the future. I would like my car to be looked into as it may be in line with the fuel pump issues on the 2018 camry, a family member owned one that was recalled for a fuel pump replacement so maybe a Corolla wouldn’t be to uncommon as well to have a know problem from the same company. Waiting at a stop light, the light turns green and I go to pull through the intersection with the intention of going under the overpass to get on the freeway. When the car gets to about 10-15 mph the car makes a pop noise & stalled. It felt like suddenly it was dragging a lot of weight and slowly I guided it to the right side of the road under the overpass for the freeway. I tried to start the vehicle and I didn’t do anything I couldn’t move the shifter and that’s when I knew the transmission had to of been the issue. So I called roadside assistance through my insurance they said it would be 90 minutes I had to wait underneath the freeway with the vehicle. A aaa tow truck driver that was about to board the freeway stopped even though he didn’t have the call and tried to see if I had aaa so he could tell me, I did not so he got in to see what was wrong with the vehicle immediately you could tell the shifter he then pulled out what he called the belief shift override and he put a screwdriver to release the shifter I get it into neutral so when the tow truck driver showed he could tow it. I had called Toyota to make sure that I could have the car towed there he said that’s fine. When I arrived to the Toyota dealership the service department was closed because it was Sunday which I understood but I had to be to work at nine and it was already close to two. I have two sons that were both at their daycare/babysitter which I would’ve need to return to pick up at 6 pm 7 pm the latest. All the representatives had no help for me even with it being my third car from the dealership. The Toyota Corolla le is a 2019 with only 29,149 miles on it. I’m a light driver the vehicle goes to work & the grocery store. I had a service appointment scheduled for August 6 at 7 am for a basic service check fluids rotate tires, no oil change, received email 8:20am claiming I canceled appointment. Night before incident check engine light came on.

The car speed variable when I try speed up became slow or sometimes it speed up one time it stops in the middle of rail crossing and completely stop then I moved out and the car pushed up other side and the car accelerated not working properly nod the fuel system also I have big doubt about this car!.

My check ingine light came on. I had noticed the slippery when wet light came on and the vcs light also came on. Since the catalytic converter seemed to be the problem. The gentleman at autozone diagnosed the car and told me about catalytic clean. I used that and the lights went off. I believe I was sold a crappy car. The dealership did nothing to replace or look at it. I had not even put 2000 miles on the car since purchased.

We rented a 2020 Toyota corrolla from hertz at the mccarran airport las vegas nv and almost past out while driving due to carbon monoxide poisonings. My wife was sick 3 out of the 4 days while this auto was being driven in our possession. At first our sickness was thought to be motion sickness or maybe from something we ate. It wasn't until we drove this car out of town when we both my wife and I started getting very sick weak dizzy and vomitting. We tried to drive out to the hover dam but stop about 10 miles short. After a brief rest we decided to had back to las vegas. Just outside of las vegas I could hardly breath and had all the same symptoms previously stated. Luckily I was able to get out of traffic and pulled off the high stopping at the first place I was able to pull into. I believe that if I didn't do so I would have passed out and may have caused an accident. Roadside assisance stated this is a common thing in Toyota's. As I was pumping gas , odometer failed , power train/streen icon came . . . As I would accelerate on highway car would slip , as I parked car accelerate on its on resulting in a total.

My car is equipped with a 2zr-fe engine and it is known issue for all those engines as it exhibit a mil "on" with dtc p219a (bank 1air-fuel ratio imbalance) present. Same issue with most 2012-2014 Corolla which has above engine plus 2012-2013 matrix (Toyota) vehicles this is very dangerous as whole engine vibrats and it makes trac off plus car will breakdown any time on the road way resulting critical situations.

My toyoda corrolla had two recalls one is the defective ecm which causes the cae to be un risk of a serious accident because it can stall while driving, this problemas damaged my car transmisi�n after they supposedly changed the part, they either didnt fixed it or replaced it with another defective part, now my car hesitates abd chek engine light is always on due to the ecm again not functioning properly, I contactes Toyota corporate and al they did was to give me the run around I contactes the ceo and he rejected my emails, I want this to be reportes un case me abd my child can get injured due to that defect Toyota didnt fixed properly. Had a recall on the fuel system causing the system to potentially stall the vehicle. Had the car service but still when doing cruise control its still doing the same thing by reving the engine to high on rpm to potentially stall the vehicle. Potential safety problem.

Started car this morning and the check engine light came on. Took to parts store and hooked it up to the computer and found codes (p2401, p043e, p043f, p2402, p2419) everything I have researched comes back to evap canister failure, and possible wiring failure. More research shows these issues causing people getting stranded and others with no problem other then light, and others with a strong gas smell. If this causes a gas smell, then a potential fire hazard is formed.

I have a 2019 Corolla hatchback xse the main problem is that at least in 30 occasions the car doesn't respond when I push the accelerator has almost caused a accident at least 3 times. I have taken it 2 times to the dealer. The first they told me they knew of the problem but there was nothing they could do since they didin't have a fix. Last time I took it about 2 months ago they told me my car wasn't in the recall list. I checked the part and it is in fact the model that has the issue. What are they waiting for me to crash.

I I called ray brandt Toyota 2weeks ago from today to advise them I had recalls on my car. But I never heard back from from them since I called.

Toyota didn't install new fuel pump in my car. I set it up to be done when I had the air bags done. They did the air bags but never did the fuel pump recall. I've been fighting with them ever since. Now my fuel pump is going out. My car stalls when I put any amount of gas in it. I'm afraid it will stall while I'm driving which is why there is a recall on the part.

Toyota recalled most Toyota vehicles my car was one of them at the beginning of the year my vehicle sat at an all stat Toyota in baton rouge, la 70815 for over 3 to 4 months while I drove a rental by the company itself. When I received the vehicle back I was told all of the defects were completed and my car should be running perfect. Immediacy within that week my car was still �stalling� I have two small children, I immediacy told the service manager, he drove my vehicle around the block and determined nothing was wrong on his end and didn't offer me any other remedy. Not only do I not think this is right the negligence in Toyota of the safety of their customers is beyond me, again I have two small children til this day my vehicle stalls at certain points especially going through oncoming traffic. How am I supposed to drive this car and I'm putting myself and my children's life in danger. And if we die because of this defect Toyota will continue to make millions off of their negligence.

1st of all fix your site I have to now write everything over again& again. Fix this. I was on freeway west on I-10 turned off on washington st. Exit& warning light &buzzer showing battery flashing&30 seconds my p. S. Light flashes& lost power&steering& was able to veer into parking lot. If this would have happened 3 minutes earlier I would have been run down by heavy traffic. In less than 2 minutes I lost power& steering. Don,t think I will ever feel safe driving this car again. After replacing altanator-waterpump-thermostat-timing belt-spark plugs-crankshaft position sensor& camshaft sensor. Still cranks but won't start. Engine rotates but won't turn over or start.

I believe it is this fuel safety switch. At times the car will not turn over but when we push the reset button in the glove compartment, it will start up.

Its like when I come to a stop the car ildes real ruff sometimes and its like it wants to cut off while I am driving.

On two occasions, a stationary vehicle was found to be leaking gasoline from a fuel line. Dates were approximately July, 2019 and may, 2020. The fuel line had apparent rodent (possible squirrel) bite marks. The car was driveable despite the leaking fuel line, but if the driver did not happen to notice the fuel spill under the car (photo attached), there could easily have been a fire other other issue during normal operations of the car. Repairs cost over $350 for each instance.

Since I have had the car I had an issues. I have changed the transmission twice. It used to blow threw brake pads until I paid to have that repaired. Oil consumption was a quart now my piston isn't working. I called Toyota even about safety bag recall which never got fixed. I was told there were no recalls on my car and everything was fine. When I told about air bag recall I saw on the news I was told they will be sending all the information in the mail. It never came. I would like have my money back. The cost of repairs. I have always bought Toyota. This has been unfair not letting your customer receive the repairs due to them for installing faulty parts. I have done everything and now I need to get a new piston. 02/082020.

We purchased my car in 2014 new. Come 2015 we had to replace the charcoal canister. I believe the car had @60,000 miles (yes, that's a lot but those are mostly highway miles)on it at this time. Luckily it was covered under warranty. 7/ 2019 we had the same problem. Less than 60, 000 miles more had been put on at this time. Guess what no warranty. ! $1,000 later we have a new charcoal canister. It is now 2/2020 , we are at 145,000 miles now and guess what? same problem. We've changed gas caps. We've done fuel treatments. We are now waiting on check engine light to come back on so we can take it back to the dealership (why is it off? because we just purchased the 3rd gas cap in 6mths and had to reset it to see if the gas cap was the cause. ) problems: check engine light comes on, I could hear the fuel being pushed through the lines, it would miss as you give it gas. Sometimes it'swhen you are taking off but it done it while on the highway also, the cruising range is not accurate (I just filled up. Usually it gives me 428 miles now its telling me 376) and the eco light goes off. Now the 1st 2 times were kind of different than this time. I think were are in the beginning stages at this point now for the 3rd time.

We have been noticing it for a while know both my partner and I the car stall's on occasions or does not react when you are trying to accelerate in the freeway. Checked with Toyota but said no recalls but there is something definitely not working correctly.

After getting gas, once I got onto the highway, about 400 or so feet, my car started shaking violently and then my check engine light came on. I didn't know what was happening and my car was slowly stopping on its own accord. Luckily I was able to get off on the nearby exit, my car slowing by itself as I drove. As I turned in to go to a gas station, my car stopped on its own completely, even when I tried to push on the gas. I turned the car off and waited about 5 minutes. After that time, I was able to start it up and my car turned on and no alert lights were on. I I was then able to drive on back roads to my house, with no further issues. Please help me resolve this issue. I am terrified I am going to get in a car accident.
