1. 2010 Toyota Corolla s was purchased from a Toyota dealer with 8 miles. Right after going off the lot, and onto the freeway, car was unstable. Even if you hold the steering wheel straight, the car wants to jump left and right randomly. Basically it is unstable. 2. Car is unstable and requires more than normal concentration and more effort to drive straight, as car does not track straight. 3. Vehicle was brought to dealer with approximately 185 miles. Test drove with technician, who said it veers slightly right. Alignment was done. The front was off by a bit and corrected. But rear of car was out of spec with regards to left and right toe. Basically both rear wheels facing towards the left. Toyota dealer said they are unable to repair this problem. I bring in a Toyota technical service bulletin that addresses on-center steering feel. The document requires alignment done, then power-steering ecu replaced. My ecu is then replaced at the dealership, but alignment in rear is not adjusted, since the dealer said it is not adjustable. They give me back the car with the new ecu even if rear toe is off along with total rear camber. They also say that total rear toe is correct at . 38 deg, but even if left and right rear toe is off, as long as total rear toe is good, car is within Toyota specifications and tolerances. I do not agree with the statement. If left and right toes are off, then car is not aligned. Right rear toe is out of spec by . 15 degrees while left rear toe is off by -. 09 degrees. I take the car and drive it for 1 day and a half, and the car veers right on the freeway. If it hits a bump on a turn, it usually makes the car want to jump right. Basically proving that the rear toe is out of specifications.

1999 Toyota Corolla purchased in vermont Jan. 1999, moved to nc in July, 2008, with about 101,000 miles. Driver was at doctor's office parking lot Aug '08-started the vehicle, and the brake pedal went down to the floorboards, pool of brake fluid on ground. Refilled reservoir, and as soon as pedal was pressed, brake fluid sprayed out. Towed to local garage, where mechanic showed that the rear brake line to rear brakes was severely rusted and just ruptured under pedal pressure. He spliced on a 1-2 foot section where the rust was worst. On 6/03/2010, the same happened on the opposite rear brake line in our driveway. Car was towed to Toyota of new bern, nc. By aaa, with a detailed note to replace that ruptured line. After a $207. 00 inflated bill, that line was also spliced, and the repair invoice noted that all the brake lines needed replacement from severe rust. Asked the dealership owner to reconsider the 2 hour charge of $90. 00 per hour, but he was obstinate stating he had a multi-million dollar new state-of-the-art facility he had to pay for, and would not compromise with the initial $90. Estimate given the previous day. This undercarriage rust runs throughout the vehicle. No garage will align the 4 wheels for fear of snapping something. I've replaced the leaking gas tank and filler neck two years ago for the same massive corrosion. These corrosion issues pose a very real threat to life should the brakes fail on these northern vehicles driven on salted winter roads. Toyota of new bern, nc owner apparently is trying to make up for his drop in sales due to recall issues by overcharging his repair customers. When the service dept. Rep phoned to confirm receipt of the vehicle towed, he informed me there was an initial $90. Diagnostic charge before beginning the work. I objected, as I had told him to repair that specific brake line, and he countered with, "but that includes a free 23 point check. " I said no way, & his mgr. Agreed with me. Yeah, right.

The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Corolla. While driving 40 mph, he heard a winding sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The dealer replaced the tires; however, the failure continued to occur. Approximately four weeks later while driving 65 mph, the contact heard a winding sound. The dealer stated that the wheels caused the inner walls of the tires to disintegrate. In addition, they stated that the failure would be continuous because the tires and wheels were aftermarket and they refused to repair as part of the warranty. The failure mileage was 250 and current mileage was 3,828.

purchased 2003, Toyota, Corolla, VIN: [xxx] with daughter. Veh was purchased from Toyota of orange in CA. Two days later a hit and run driver forced veh to skid across five lanes on interstate 10 in ontario, CA, and landed atop center divider. The vehicle was sent to repair shop and "repaired" after approximately 5-8 months. However, the car was never properly repaired, and I complained to both Toyota , and to the insurance company, allstate, but Toyota adamantly stated the veh was without problems. The car was continually in the shop for the brakes. Eventually the carpet caused the accelerator to become stuck and the car went out of control. I was forced to reach down while the car moving and pull the carpet with both hands to release the accelerator. Stepping on the brakes did not help. Neither Toyota repair nor allstate would help resolve our complaints since 2003, we were simply told that the veh was fine. Additionally I believe the frame is bent, lack of interlocking brakes causing skids, brakes are soft and drop to floor, and poor steering column. This car is dangerous and is impossible to drive without involving near miss accident episodes. The car skids if going as little as 5-10 miles per hour. I offered to give the car away to anyone who was willing to investigate my complaints, all to no avail. I just recently learned that one of the problems I heard in the brand new car was a hole in the exhaust system. Toyota continually denied this for 5-6 years, then by accident a very young newly employed staff at Toyota of orange, informed us that our complaint about loud air sounding noise was a hole in the exhaust, which had been continually making the noise, and burning of eyes (migraines). The brakes were repaired every 2-4 months or less until I just reported less frequently. The car is now no longer under warranty. Currently it needs some brakes, rotors, drums, calipers, and shocks as always.

: the contact stated having problems with the vehicle's rear right axle while driving 55 mph. Prior to the incident, the rear right tire was wearing out abnormally and was replaced and aligned four times. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for a diagnosis to repair the rear right axle. After the repairs were made, the problem persisted. The contact affirmed that when the brakes were fully depressed, vehicle control could not be completely maintained, and there was not sufficient stability power.

Toyota Corolla ce at about 30k miles. Rattling sound occurs from the rear of vehicle while driving. Sound disappears when break pedal is applied. Sound comes on and off unexpectedly. Have taken vehicle to sears auto department, was told it's due to break pad wear, replaced all four pads, but the sound returned as soon as I drove out of sears parking lot. Have been to the auto department several times and the problem is still not solved. Since the sound is not effecting steering and breaking, I'm still driving the vehicle, hoping nothing bad will happen.

Rear suspension is worn out after 28,500 miles. This presents a likelihood of tire failure due to "cupping" which is what happens to a car tire where the suspension system is worn out.
Rear end hits the ground when going over speed bumps and dips in the road. Dealer has been contacted. Please provide further details.
