The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Fj Cruiser. The contact stated
that when driving at speeds of 25 mph and traveling over a bump or pothole, the anti-lock braking system would activate but the brakes would not engage. The contact stated that the failure would occur at least five times whenever the vehicle was in operation. The contact has not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The contact was concerned with the brakes potentially causing a crash to occur without warning. The failure mileage was 31,500 and the current mileage was unknown.

1. While backing down a hill the brakes release and you free fall a few feet. Dealer brought out another vehicle to test it and this one did the same thing. Dealer contacted Toyota technical ops and they said this was as designed. 2. While braking the rpm jumps up as high as 1500 rpm causing the vehicle lurch forward.
