I have been on Toyota recall list for two years and every time I get another card about recall , I call dealership and they put me on a wait list . As part is not available or supply and demand . Unacceptable and now it seems there is also a loud squealing noise and the gas pedal will rev and accelerate and jerk forward on its on while I just barely got foot of brake . And then it will accelerate until I put foot on gas and it will jerk forward trying to accerlelerate and then I get control.
"takata recall" we received our recall notice letter and immediately contacted our local authorised Toyota in rhinelander WI and were told it would take a few weeks for the replacement parts to arrive. After not hearing from them in that time we phoned again, and after once again giving our VIN and information , we were told who ever took the call had not submitted the order . So once again we are told it's on backorder and they will contact us when it comes in so they can set up a appointment time to fix it. The recall notice recommended not having a occupant in the front passenger seat. We should be provided with a safe vehicle by Toyota to use with the length of time this is taking until this is fixed.

Letter from congressman deutch on behalf of constituent regarding Toyota vehicle airbags: this was the third recall.
"takata recall" I am wondering when the fix for this recall will be available in my area.
Takata recall. Safety recall not remedied.
Takata recall nothing has happened yet, but there is a recall going on with my airbags (shrapnel from airbags), that has not been addressed in over 1 year. I still own this car and use it everyday, and I and my passengers are put at risk every time, specifically if the airbags were to deploy. Toyota has not done anything about it except to send a letter that it will be remedied soon which was sent 1 year ago. Additionally, I received a auto airbag settlement notice, but am not eligible because I still own the car! this is ridiculous. Toyota needs to prioritize by owners of vehicles that can currently still receive injury or death first over those that had previously owned/leased the car and were therefore only potentially at risk. Toyota is putting my life, and my passengers' lives at risk, every day, and they do nothing about it. Nothing has happened yet, but why am I being put at risk for something that is not my fault, and should be remedied by the seller as I am the consumer? why should this even be about something that has happened, why isn't it about prevention and not having to be fearful that every time I drive my car, that if I get into an accident that I and any of my passengers may die because shrapnel will deploy from the very same airbags that were meant to keep us safe?.
Takata recall. Toyota sent me arecall letter at the beginning of the year 2017 saying they had no fix and I shouldn't use passenger front seat. When I didn't hear from them again for several months I called their customer service and was told there was no fix for my car until December 2017. Any Toyota dealer would give me a free rental car. When I called the dealer I was told I would have to leave my car at the dealership and it would be parked outside with no shelter. I live in phoenix az and I know what the sun does to paint, tires, and even interior of cars. So that is an unacceptable offer. Since I really need full use of my car I called customer service again today, August 16, 2017. They still do not offer an acceptable solution. The recall letter stated that I could file a complaint with the htsa if I felt Toyota is unable to remedy the defect within a resonable time.
Takata recall. Toyota has repeatedly assured us that the new airbag parts will be ready in "one month". Toyota has been saying this for the past 5 months leaving us with a car that is unsafe to drive and we are unable to sell. Toyota's best advice was to not drive the car and come in for a rental while we wait, they have been out of rentals for the entire time we've been waiting. I understand most of this is takata's fault but Toyota has done a terrible job keeping us informed and is allowing my family to drive a potential death trap covered in their badges.
Takata recall. Received the recall notice while pregnant, Toyota did nothing to resolve the issue. Told me I still have to drive the car even though the airbag could possibly explode even though no one was sitting in the passenger seat. It's been almost a year, and still no resolution.
"takata recall" I am still wainting for a fix. Toyota recommends that I do not use the front passenger seat now going on 8 months.

I have visited fordham Toyota at 235 west 154th street new york, NY on 4/21/2017; and 5/17/2017 and I was told the part was on hold. On 5/11/2017 I received a call and I was told to return on 5/15/2017 to install the required part. My car was kept in the dealer until 3pm. And then was told that the part was not available. I have missed (2) days of work due to this issue and it has not been resolved. I feel Toyota is not making any effort to remedy this issue, please advise.
Takata recall letter that we received from Toyota directed us to stop using the passenger seat in the car due to safety concerns, and advised that we would receive further instructions in April. It is now may and we have not heard from Toyota and the local dealership advises us that no remedy is available for us. We are not able to safely use the vehicle as a family, and we have no idea when or if we will be able to use the vehicle safely again. The vehicle is currently being used daily by driver only, and it is unclear whether the vehicle poses a threat to driver's safety.
I received notice from Toyota 2-24-17 recall. On 4-28-17, I was given as appt't to have fixed on 5-2-17. I was at Toyota for 1 hr. , saw my car be driven out to parking area. After 5 min. , I inquired why they were not working on it, and was told parts not in. !!!over two months, and still no word as to when it will be corrected.
Takata recall it has been months of being able to safely use the car. There is no date offered for a fix. Dealers in 2 states have the same response. How can they get away with this delay?.
Takata recall -my local dealer is Toyota of santa barbara CA is about 3 miles from my work and the service manager kurt invited me to use the oxnard store about an hour away because on a previous service visit I left a negative review of my service experience. I want the passenger airbag repaired rapidly from my local store now that the part is in stock and want a rental or loaner vehicle until the repair is completed.
Takata recall I received notification over a year ago from Toyota about the recall. I just called today and they said the parts are still not available and I could try calling again in "a couple of months. " what is a reasonable time frame for this issue to be fixed?.
Takata recall. I received the interim notice from Toyota that states ". . . We recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. . . ". I use my vehicle for my family and toyo is recommending that I not use it. Does Toyota plan to provide loaner vehicles or rental car re-imbursement for the period when my vehicle is not operable as a 5-passenger vehicle with passenger air bags? I don't understand how they can sell me a vehicle and then not use it for its described purpose. Clarification would be appreciated. Thanks.

Takata recall the NHTSA is aware of this recall but may not appreciate the full impact on the owner of the car. I feel unsafe driving it due to this recall but there is no remedy. I can't get it fixed. When I went to the dealer and asked when remedy is available no one knows. So I said fine let me trade it in and buy a new car. However, since there is a recall the dealer said he couldn't offer full trade in price because he would be unable to sell it until the remedy is made. So I don't feel safe driving it and I can't sell it without a loss in value. Neither are my fault. Takata has me stuck in a very poor position and I am disappointed with Toyota's response.
Takata recall - the manufacturer has sent us a letter asking us to not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat, but has not provided a fix. This severely reduces the utility of my vehicle - reducing its passenger capacity by 25%. In addition, this creates an unreasonable expectation that I am unable to fulfill due to the necessities of everyday life. I feel that the dealer and/or Toyota has failed to provide a remedy to the takata airbag defect within a reasonable time and request restitution for the lost utility and inconvenience.
