The vehicle was towed to a tire dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire model was defective. The tire was replaced with a spare. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and dot number were unknown. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 1,900.

While attempting to change the blown tire the consumer realized that the jack was not designed properly to replace the blown tire. With the jack properly placed and fully extended there was insufficient clearance to replace the blown tire. The consumer request that the jack be replaced.

We were on vacation and traveling the speed limit, 75, in pueblo, CO when the rear passenger side tire blew. From what witnesses said they saw smoke coming from that tire before I lost control of the vehicle.
