My 2006 Toyota Rav4 sport only has about 20000 miles but I already changed 3 of 4 tires. First tire flattened on highway, they were unfixable so I bought new tires. The tire shop found an inch cut between thread. About one month later another tire flattened, they found the same kind of cut like the first tire. About another month later the third tire flattened, this time they found a pinhole but they did not find any nail. Three months in a row happened to three different tires ?.

07 Toyota rav 4 has had "pull to left" problem since purchased 6-07. Been to dealer twice for this and still cannot correct. They say it has been corrected. They found alignment. Problem 10-07, but just x-rotated tires 3-08 and said was corrected.

Tires had to be replaced at 37k because they were dry rotted. I replaced the tires per the tire warranty with the same tires and at 95k miles they are again dry rotted. I recommend that Toyota stop putting toyo tires on its Rav4s. I have also had to replace the Toyota issued battery two times in the vehicle and it is only 7 years old.

I purchased a 2005 Rav4 2 wheel drive, 5 speed, in December 2005. The exact date, I am not sure of in that the issue is ongoing. I first noticed the oe (toyo tranpath a14 215/70r16 99s m-s) tires by toyo were loosing traction when going around corners, I attributed that to the new auto and was more careful until I got used to it. I was coming home one day and proceeded onto a freeway onramp. The roads were wet but not excessive. I made the turn onto the ramp shifted and the accelerated, I found at that time the tires were loosing traction, so I backed off the accelerator. I am also finding on ribbed freeways that the car will not track. I recently wnet to the dealer and explained what was happening. From here it is an ongoing process of dealer telling me talk to Toyota and Toyota saying talk to toyo. During my numerous conversations with toyo, I was told that the tires were graded 300 bb. I asked if this was problem, "I don't know" my last conversation with toyo I asked if the tire is bb why does my tire say aa. Thye needed to research and not to my amazement they told me that the tire was an aa and they just found out. They further stated the tire used to be bb but in 2001 was upgraded to aa. "miscommunication from toyo japan to them. How many people have to be injured etc.

Tires provide extremely poor traction in rain or snow. At the recommended psi, the tires spin when accelerating and skid when stopping on wet pavement at anything other than extremely slow speeds. With any snowcover on pavement, the vehicle is virtually impossible to prevent from sliding or skidding at virtually any speed. The only way I was able to use the vehicle at all during the winter was to reduce the air pressure in the tires dramatically . . . And even then I was taking my life in my hands everytime I drove on even lightly snow dusted pavement. I have driven in snow for 30 years and these are the worst tires I '.

Since the vehicle's purchase, it would occassionally hydroplane on slighty wet surfaces and go to the left. Approximately three months ago the vehicle abruptly hydroplaned from the right lane of the freeway to the left with no warning. The last incident ended in a crash. While traveling in a light rain at approximately 50 mph, the rear of the vehicle pulled sharpley to the right with no warning. It felt as if traveling on ice. The vehicle slammed head on into the guard rail.
