Brakes Failed Problems of Toyota Scion Tc

Driving on dry road at approx. 35 mph began braking to make turn into a parking lot. Road surface was somewhat rough but not extremely. Brakes failed to respond so I pushed pedal to the floor and they gradually slowed the car. I was not driving at an excessive speed nor being careless. As I turned into the parking lot at an excessive speed I almost hit a vehicle that was waiting to pull out on to the highway. Due to traffic conditions and the shock of what was happening I could not safely change my direction of travel and was committed to completing the turn into the parking lot.

At the beginning of 2009, I bought a brand new 2009 Scion Tc from the Toyota dealership. I had not had any issues until Monday 22feb10. At 5:30pm, I attempted to drive the car, having to stop at the stop sign at the end of my street before turning onto the major interstate (rte. 1). Upon pressing the brake, the car did not stop. I rolled directly into oncoming traffic on rte 1; luckily, I quickly steered into the middle lane, barely avoiding a collision. I turned into the gas station parking lot beside my street and attempted to stop at the next stop sign connecting the gas station to my street. Again, my brakes failed and I rolled directly into the middle of my street. Thankfully, there was no oncoming traffic at this time, but having my brakes failed twice terrified me. I have contacted Toyota but no one seems very willing to help. The service manager of the dealership is going to have the Scion Tc towed to the shop this morning to inspect the car. I have heard from several people that they are experiencing brake failures in their Toyotas and scions as well. Again, it is a brand new 2009 Scion Tc with 9500 miles on it. The car has only ever been serviced at the Toyota dealership. It recently passed state inspection as well.

Brake failure to stop in uneven pavement, happen more than three times. Brake was check by a dealer and was found ok. File a complaint with scion.

: the contact stated while driving 20mph on February 27, 2006 the brakes pulsated and there was a rattling noise present. The brake failure caused the vehicle to slide off the road. There was 15,040 miles on the vehicle when it was towed to the dealership. The dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. The second time the brakes failed was on March 3, 2006. While driving 65mph the brake pedal would not depress. There was 15,200 miles on the vehicle when it was towed in the second time to the dealer. The dealer was unable to duplicate the problem again, because the vehicle computer had reset itself. There were no repairs made.

There was a brake failure on the car. The maker of the car is scion (Toyota) the year is 2006. This caused me to get into a car accident its a new car with around 3000 miles on it. I had it for less than three months. I didn't not do any modification on the car every thing I need it was done including oil change, I went to the dealers.
