The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Sequoia. While stopped at the light or intersection and she attempts to accelerate. The vehicle would not accelerate instead it lost power and it would only drift. The vehicle stability control light illuminates and within a few seconds the vehicle would accelerate. She noticed that the failure occurs ninety five percent of the time while the vehicle was in four wheel drive. She took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer test drove the vehicle. The dealer stated that the failure could an antilock break malfunction, but they are not sure if that is the part that is causing the failure. The estimated cost for repair was $2, 500. The manufacturer took a report, case 1002137212. The manufacturer stated they would contact the dealer and she would receive a call back.
