2 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2004 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 10/16/2010

I have a 2004 Toyota Sequoia that had the right rear wheel bearings replaced last week at my Toyota dealership. Now the engine light is staying on as well as the vhs trac and trac off indicator lights. The car jerks when accelerating. This problem has been intermittent for two months but is now all the time.

3 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 05/21/2010

My wife and I own a 2001 Toyota Sequoia. On 5/21/10, the right front ball bearings failed. The brake line snapped and the wheel fell under the car. Luckily my wife had just turned onto a road and was going at a slow speed and was able to pull to the side - especially since she is 8 months pregnant. This seems to be consistent with problems that led to a recall of the same model vehicle for 2004-2007. Toyota said that this was not part of a recall and there was nothing they could do about it. It seemed important to make you aware of this as I am certain that this would have been much worse if my wife was traveling at higher speeds. It is especially disconcerting that this same issue was found in later models of the same vehicle.

4 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 03/27/2004

There was a burning smell coming from the driver's side wheel well. Over time the smell became worse and was accompanied by smoke. The consumer had this problem a total of 4 times where the smell of burning and smoke was excessive and overwhelming under the wheel hub. The seal, bearings, and axle was replaced but the problem still existed.
