1 Transmission Noise problem of the 2006 Toyota Sequoia

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Sequoia. The contact stated that when accelerating or when braking to a stop, she would hear a loud knocking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised her that the transmission cross member was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the cross member. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 82,500. The current mileage was approximately 82,800. The VIN was unavailable.

2 Transmission Noise problem of the 2006 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 03/01/2011

2006 Toyota Sequoia. Consumer states mats would constantly move under the pedals interfering with gas and brake pedals, there was a loud noise while driving high speeds and when it rains water would leak inside the consumer stated the dealer assured her, they had rectified the problem by replacing the mats and making sure the lining around the windows were tight. However, the leak continued as well as the noise while driving. Also, the navigation/radio,cd player wasn't working properly. The dealer was finally able to stop the water from leaking in the vehicle. The consumer then stated the vehicle began to stall/ hesitate while turning and then it would jerk fast at times. A diagnosis revealed the transmission pan gasket was leaking. Also the power outlets were no longer working, the vehicle began to ride rough, the seat would grind and vibrate, the tire pressure monitoring light illuminated, the brake hardware kit was falling apart, the engine was leaking oil and the dealer replaced the gaskets, the trunk wouldn't open. The consumer stated while driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly stopped. The dealer stated the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the consumer the drain plug was missing.

3 Transmission Noise problem of the 2005 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 10/17/2006

- the contact has a 2005 Toyota Sequoia. The contact received safety recall 07v013000 on the vehicle, and had 9 different repairs made concerning the same safety recall. The last time the vehicle was repaired was on 10/17/2006. On 10/17/2006 the contact bought a new transmission because the failure could not be diagnosed. The contact stated that there were multiple drive line repairs, and that the car was lunging forward and making a clunking sounds. Two days after replacing the engine the contact returned with the vehicle because it was lurching forward and making a clunking noise while being driven. The contact has tried to get the vehicle diagnosed since the new engine without success.

4 Transmission Noise problem of the 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 10/27/2005

One complaint is the transmission failed started making a grinding noise then failed to move any more had to replace transmission at my cost with no help offered by the dealer. And failed at 90,000 miles. Never noticed anything leading to this regular maintenance done.

5 Transmission Noise problem of the 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 04/05/2005

(1) grinding noise on acceleration. Engine cutting off when stopping vehicle. (2) stuck in middle or road trying to get truck to stay cranked. (3) replaced transmission at 1/2 dealer cost and 1/2 my cost when complaint started on problem while vehicle was still under warranty.
