Loud Engine Noise Problems of Toyota Sienna

Today I noticed a smell but thought it was from the road construction. Later I noticed some liquid on the ground under my car. Later I started to drive and heard a terrible noise. I checked all my gauges and nothing looked wrong but the noise freaked me out. I immediately turned around and went home. Fortunately I had only gone a little ways down the street. While I drive my oil light flickered on then off. Once home my husband checked under the hood. When he turned the car on, oil was squirting from a hose everywhere. He checked under the car and oil was all over the bottom of the car. There was no more oil when he checked the oil stick.

The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2015 Toyota Sienna. Upon starting the vehicle, the traction indicator illuminated and an abnormal noise was heard coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the plaza Toyota dealer (2721 nostrand Ave, brooklyn, NY 11210, 347-983-5652) where it was diagnosed with an unknown wiring failure due to rodents entering the engine compartment. The vehicle owner had the vehicle repaired, but was unaware of the repair specifics. The failure recurred three months later and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring was destroyed again by rodents. The vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and referred the contact back to the dealer. The failure mileage was 16,382.

Car completely stoped without any warning on an extremly busy road. Extremely loud noises are coming from the engine and car will no longer move. Still cluessless on the issue at hand.

Driving about 15 mph through parking lot. . . An alarm sounded followed by a "loud noise" from the rear. This was followed by the car braking and pulling to the right. Engine did not stop. The car would only crawl when attempts were made to drive it. Any faster than 2-5 mph caused repeat of the event. No information lights were activated on the dashboard. Car was taken by flatbed to Toyota dealership. Access to the onboard computer by the service people at dealer did not reveal any faults. An attempted solution was to reprogram the abs module. This did not resolve the problem. At this time, the car remains at the dealership. Report filed with Toyota regional by both dealer and myself.
