2002 Toyota Tacoma has premature frame deterioration on frame side rails and rear. Rear frame is so bad that the rust is causing the bumberto lift up in the middle by about 1-2inches. Owner keeps truck washed and waxed even through winter months. Have not yet looked to get rear problem repaired.

After my purchase of a new 2003 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner I quickly discovered my rear chrome bumper was rusting at the area where the license plate is displayed. I took my new truck to my local Toyota dealer and was told that Toyota recognized this was a problem but there was no recall issued on the problem and that I could continually use a type of steel wool to keep up with the rust as it was happening. Unacceptable.

Front bumper is simply a plastic shroud. It provides no protection against any type of incidental contact. Excessive body damage could occur at speeds less than 5 mph.
I am trying to find out information on the front bumper of my truck. It is a plasic moulding attached with plastic rivets to sheet metal. There is no metal what so ever behind this plastic moulding. You can push it in with your hand. This can't be safe! I really need some help with this, Toyota will not give me any answers as to why this was done.
