The contact was also informed that the failure was a common issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 90,000.

The dealer informed him to bring the vehicle in to be repaired. The VIN was not available. The Toyota manufacturer was not called. The failure mileage was 25,000.

Instruments are illegible in bright sunlight. This is a design problem that has created this unsafe condition since new.
