The date it started happening was probably late March now into April to present day as the receptacle on the driver side doesn’t click always and comes undone while on the road and can not get the seatbelt to go back in and has not been assessed or replaced by my local Toyota dealer and the issue is getting worse these are stock parts.

There are several issues with these seatbelts. They either lock before we can get them buckled or once we unbuckle them, they do not retract and hang out the door, thus draining the battery. They get twisted and stuck in the plastic guide toward the top of the door. The last time this happened, I could not get the seatbelt unstuck despite working on it for almost an hour. I ended up cutting the seatbelt to get it unstuck. Now it is extremely difficult to use. I need to get it replaced ASAP at my own expense. Very unsafe not to mention frustrating. Also, worth noting is this has been an ongoing problem for years.
Both rider and driver seat belt become unlatched randomly. I have no expectation these will remained secure if involved in an accident.

Plastic piece and spring have ejected from the seat belt receiver and now the receiver does not latch on to the seat belt when it is inserted into the receiver (driver side but could happen to any/all). The seat belt no longer buckles.

Hit a power pole going 55mp,broke the pole in half. Airbags did not deploy, seat belt did not engage. I hit my face on the glass and the steering wheel, nearly broke my face. My dog was in the back thankfully. My hips took the brunt of the impact, they still hurt. A idaho state trooper investigated with video showing our totaled truck around a broken pole, no air bag or seat belt employed,my smashed face covered in blood. Did a little research and found that our 2000 Tundra isnt in a recall???what does it take to set off a Tundra airbag?? also found out that I should be thankful it didnt go off or I may have been injured by a discharge of schrapnel??found several victims of that. My wife takes a blood thinner and often goes with me to town, but now shes not going to be able to safely ride in her own vehicle anymore?? this reminds me of how cps drops the ball and just lets kids die before they ever do anything. I will be doing alot more with my pen as my sword my video as my witness,I loved my Tundra but this is more way more dangerous than my 1990 truck with basic mechanics. If you have a Tundra or other vehicle that is dangerous ,speak out about it,get an attorney, save someones life. These are dangerous airbags,no doubt in my mind. Ps our truck is 100% unmodified other than tire changes. Now a death trap, until this is resolved.

The Toyota Tundra 2002 truck did not deploy driver's side and passenger's side airbags in a collision consisting of frontal and left-sided collision with immobile objects, with frontal/top profound impact from standing tree. The car was up to date on its inspections and maintenance. The breaks, though appropriately checked and tested, would take longer than normal to break the vehicle. The seatbelt, if pulled hard enough, would easily dislodge from buckle, coming undone. The driver of this vehicle collided as described above and due to the failure(s) of the safety mechanisms in place, resulted in the death of the driver. The driver was restrained with seatbelt, however dislodged from buckle upon impact and no airbags deployed. The issue(s) have been confirmed by the police report, the county police documented. The vehicle has been inspected by police officers, and possibly others, including the employees of the towing company. There was no indication thats the airbag deployment was either "off" if possible, and or indications of airbag defect. No messages or lights were indicated for the failure of the deployment of the airbags. No messages or lights were indicated for the defect and or failure of the seatbelt not remaining intact with force. The person in reference passed away on impact at scene. The failures of the safety mechanisms put into place for this vehicle are absolutely unacceptable and beyond subpar.
The contact owned a 2013 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another vehicle had ran a red light and crashed into the front grill assembly of the contact's vehicle then the other vehicle spun and crashed into the driver side of the contact's vehicle. The contact's front driver seat moved inadvertently towards the steering wheel but the seat belt did not prevent the contact's neck, chest and stomach from slamming into the steering wheel. The contact heard a loud bang and the air bags deployed, filling the inside of vehicle with a powder substance. The contact and passenger were transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a towing yard and deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened but the manufacturer informed the contact that there was no recall for the air bags associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was 72,120.

At speeds above 50+ the rear end constantly rumbles and shakes the whole truck. And when pressing the break it does as well. Seat belt locks when trying to put it on. Parking brake doesn't work. Whining and squeaky noise in the rear end. Clunking noise at lower speeds. Engine light is on & won't go off. Tire pressure sensor doesn't work. Rear end seal leak. Driver side window feels like it's gonna fall out. Truck is way too loud and everything is stock. Ac/heat being on makes loud noise.

Seat belt repeatedly unhooks after you insert buckle in to locking mechanism. Seat belt was secured in locking mechanism and verified by pulling on strap after locking in place. Later as you drive around the belt unlocks by itself. I have invested and discovered that the spring lock is weak, defective and will no longer stay on the proper lock position. It seems the internal springs are broken or at best weakened an can dislodge from the locked position at anytime in a few seconds or hours after it was secured. This problem gives you a false sense of security. This is an immediate safety and life threatening issue. The unlocking can happen in the park position, driving on a street or driving on a highway. The problem can be detected by the red press button should be all the way extended when the latch is not in place. If the latch does not extend fully and it's not flush with the edge of the buckle then it is defective. Lock button can be maneuvered into the lock position by wiggling it, but it will not hold in place.
When you get ready to drive down the road the accelerator is very touch I took it in for the recall but it's still the same very dangerous, the passenger seat belt while the truck is going down the road the seat belt will tighten up so tight its chocking you and it want loosen up unless you uhook it.

This issue affects the seatbelt safety. When I try to latch the driver's seatbelt the release button is depressed and the seatbelt will not engage until I push the button down numerous times. The problem is time-consuming and very likely is a safety issue if the release button does not return to its normal position. This has occurred over the life of the vehicle and happens whether the vehicle is stationary or in motion.
Seat belt unlock by itself. Had this happen multiple times during hard braking.
Seatbelt buckle piece popped out and I have to push the red button to secure seatbelt.
Drivers side seat belt does not retract properly and must be manually retracted. At times seat belt jams and is difficult to replace,.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while attempting to exit the vehicle the front driver side seatbelt locking mechanism had malfunctioned and would not unlock when pressing the release button on the seatbelt buckle. The driver had to maneuver under the seatbelt in order to exit the vehicle. The local dealer sewell Toyota located at 2213 old jacksboro hwy, wichita falls, TX. And the manufacturer were both notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 115,000. Jft.

The seatbelt on the passenger side front seat will no longer latch. This happens at any time the passenger tries to buckle up. The issue is with the catch and not the buckle. There is no damage to the exterior of the catch and when you stick the buckle inside, it simply will not catch to lock the buckle in place.

Manufacturer recall order osv254 or summary 70a.
Horn stopped working before 100,000 miles and dealership won't replace it. Wants to charge over $600 to fix. Vehicle was not in any wreck to cause horn damage. It is due to faulty equipment from Toyota. Seatbelt latch doesn't connect seatbelt sometimes and also won't release at times when attached.
Takata recall Toyota does not recognize that our 2002 Toyota Tundra has a factory faulty airbag/ seatbelt system, and say that there is no recall for our vehicle, and that we have to pay to fix it. The seat belt is always loose, there is a permanent lit light related to the airbag.
Tensioner extremely slow to retract on driver and passenger side of my 2000 Toyota Tundra sr five four-wheel-drive. Contacted 1-800 Toyota number and told it was not a safety issue although I had had it fixed two times under warranty and to get the dealer to fix it although it is very expensive. Why is this not a vehicle safety issue like on my 2007 prius. Why hasn't the very known Toyota seat belt tensioner issue on all Toyota, alexis, scion vehicles between 2000 and now been recalled. I don't like taking my life in my hands every time I drive if this is a safety issue.
I have only 34,800 miles on my 2013 Toyota Tundra. The drivers seat belt is already showing severe wear (with fraying) on the belt, and the seat belt latch is also lose at it's mounting point on the drivers seat frame. The whole latch assembly "clunks" when I pull on it, or every time I stop the car.
Seat belt tensioners, ongoing problem. Addressed as service complaints at 25, 797, 26,266, 40,366, 49,331miles on resord and 65k, 80k, 100k and 125k not recorded. Now Toyota wont honor the fact that these have become defective yet again. Called their 800 number and was told 80k was the warranty period there is nothing they can do even though this is a known safety related issue. . .
My drivers side seat belt would not connect and upon inspection 2 pieces including a spring fell out of it.
Never received letter and sticker for lack of child restraints with airbag on/off switch in front seat of access cab Tundra. This was noted during takata airbag inflater replace by dealer.
The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that due to the driver¿s height, she was unable to latch the driver¿s side seat belt properly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
Seat belt malfunction on passenger side. Belt will not seize when brakes are suddenly applied. Mechanism in rear (extended cab) area has apparently separated which, in turn, has caused the front seat belt to be inoperative. .
