I was driving behind a Honda accord going around 65 mph give or take 5 mph, when the car in front of the Honda made a late signal and slow down. By the time I was able to react I rear ended the Honda and crushed the front drivers side of my truck. The seat belts did not lock and the air bags did not deploy. My truck went all the way into the back seat of the Honda. The damage to the front of my truck started at the passenger head light and went all the way across the drivers side and was pushed into the front of the engine. To my knowledge the air bags should of deployed and the seat belts should of locked. If it wasn't for the steering wheel I would of went through the windshield. Also the passenger airbags were on but didn't deploy either.

December 2008, while driving a rented Toyota 4x4 Tundra the front airbags 1/2 deployed without cause, no accident, no collision, just a bumpy paved county road - fm1431 georgetown/round rock TX area. . . And the longhorn car & truck rental company has offered nothing in explanation as to why. They absconded quickly with vehicle and wouldn't let my adjuster look at it. Reported on TX blue form for accidents and the rental company immediately.

I have a 2003 Toyota Tundra access cab. I recently was putting my 5 year-old daughter into their back seat and she put her hand up to stabilize herself and the entire front passenger side safety belt harness and casing which is supposed to be permanently attached to the frame came complete off of the frame. There was no undue stress put on the harness or casing and no pressure was applied. There is now a hole where the bolt was once permanently attached to the frame. I called my local dealership for the sake of convenience and made an appointment for 12-12-08 at 8:30 am. They said it would take about an hour. I took it in and the service guy was very kert and said that it would take a minimum of 3 hours and cost $104. 00. Finding this unacceptable, I told him I did not feel I should pay to have a basic part of the car's safety looked at. I can understand if it is a diagnostic test. But it is a safety belt!
my other safety belt on the drivers side creeks which makes me wonder if there is something wrong with that one as well. I am glad I did not find out the passenger side safety belt was defective during the course of an accident. Any assistance and/or guidance you can give on this important matter would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted Toyota as well who told me that it is a warranty issue and it is out of warranty.

I found the driver's seat belt on the 2006 Toyota Tundra showing premature wear and fraying, the spot is in the center to the belt, in a location that sits on the drivers lap, not near the buckle or anywhere it should rub.
