P265/60/r20. All wheels are worn severely on outer wheels. One wheel is so severely worn on outer edge it’s into the secondary rubber and I was told it wasn’t safe to drive… dealership said that it wasn’t safe to drive long distances that it could blow apart… as of know no one had admitted fault and they expect me to cover costs. Truck is 2023 with 19,500 miles on it. Pictures show the worst tire but all of the tires are wearing the same with the outer edge worn severely.

The sidewall of my tire completely blew out on a flat, clear road. Leaving my neighborhood, I heard a questionable sound that I thought may be ice build up on my mudflap rubbing against the tire. I continued to monitor my suspicion, as it was hard to tell whether there was actually a sound, or if it was in my head. Turning out of my neighborhood, I continued listening for anything suspicious. After feeling like I was in the clear, I brought the truck up to 45-50mph. Suddenly, the truck began bouncing like crazy, and I was able to manage pulling off to the side of the road. The shoulder was only a couple feet wide, followed by a steep hill, so my truck was sticking out into the road quite far, and it was night time. I sprung into action as quickly as possible to minimize risk as I went to change the tire and replace with the spare. Since it was night time, and the road only had one lane in each direction, there were at least 3 times that my car / myself were almost rammed into, or the car approaching me wasn't able to see cars approaching from the other direction, and almost caused a head on collision. There hasn't been an official inspection of the tire yet. There were no warning lamps prior to the failure. The only symptoms of the problem were a suspected sound that may or may not have actually been there. Tire size: 275-55r-20.

I purchased 4 cooper adventurer 265/70r16 tires in 3-2022 from pep boys in mobile, al. I had a ase certified mechanic checked these tires and found there was a bulge on the tread of the passenger front & tread separation on the driver's rear tire. The tires have approx. 17k miles since purchase. Pep boys refused to replace the 2 tires unless I paid a pro-rated fee which I refused due to the 2 defects out of 4 tires & the limited amount of miles on the tires. Also, I have rotated the tires 4 times since purchased. The mechanic that found the problems checked the shocks & struts and found no issues other that the 2 tires.

Cannot find the correct tire size in the drop-down. But these tires are bridgestone dueler h/t 265/60/20 685. These tires are extremely unstable on this vehicle going any rate of speed on the highway with rigid surface. The vehicle sways back-and-forth as if it was on ice and has a little to no control road conditions are clear when this happens. Even worse when it rains I want to take the vehicle on the highway. I believe due to the gap of the tread pattern. They are catching on the grooves and throw the vehicle back-and-forth dangerously. I had also had a trailer that weighed an estimate of 8500 pounds with the tires, and was worse as the trailer would fishtail tire pressure is at factory recommendation as well. These tires need to be reevaluated and does not belong on this type of vehicle. There are no warning lamps that come on other than a very unstable ride. My vehicle was involved in an accident due to a driver swerving directly into our lane on the highway as a result of trying to gain control. The tires were very unstable, and did not have control as a result of trying to gain control on the passenger side of my truck I slid in the concrete barrier when trying to correct the steering.

On our 2016 Toyota Tundra 4x4 crew cab truck my tires are already worn out. They only have 17000 miles on them. The tread on the tires are 5/30 2nd. We rotate every 3000 to 5000 miles. We purchased this truck for towing our 20 ft trailer and have taken 3 short vacations (about 1 week each) and there is hardly any tread left on them. We are senior citizens and do not drive recklessly. Please advise on what to do with taking these on more trips. I do have pictures of my tires if needed.

Morning drive from fredericksburg, va to syracuse NY along route 81n. Roads are empty, dry, & sun is up. I had just decided to stop at next exit for breakfast when my 2005 Tundra pickup is violently jerk to the right. I try to fight it back straight when it suddenly takes of to the left, then jerks back to the right. I hit the guard rail & the truck flips over. The next thing I remember I'm hanging upside down & I'm hearing a strange noise. I turn the keys off & the noise stops. I think I smell gas and fight my way out of the seat belt & crawl out what is left of the passenger side window since the drivers side is blocked. When I get out there is someone yelling from road. I tell him I'm ok & a trooper stops. I start collecting some silver coins that are scattered when I hear the trooper yelling at me. Sounding mad. He tells me to stop & go to guard rail. As I try to make it to guard rail legs & muscles don't work right & starts hurting bad. Ambulances arrive (2) and they argue with me. I tell them I didn't call them & I don't want them. (no insurance & don't want to seat in an er for the next 8 hrs just to be given pain killers & told to see my dr ASAP. ) tow truck arrives & tells trooper he doesn't need traffic control. Trooper leaves after trying to get me to say what caused the accident. I didn't know, since I was awake & driving then I was in the middle of a night mare. Tow truck driver drags my truck up to the guard rail & points out front passenger tire & says "that's what caused the accident. A friend from NY picks me up at the tow yard & on the way back we stop at the crash site. We see where the rim starts cutting a groove in the black top & swerves back & forth the road. 3 days later I meet insurance adjuster at tow yard & he also points at the front tire & says it caused the accident. We notice the tear in the tire is in the opposite direction of rotation, so I probably didn't run over anything.
At 25000 miles the tires needed to be replaced on my 2010 Toyota tunrda due to poor outside wear. I rotate and monitor my tire pressre regulaly. The dealer checked the suspension and said there was not issue with it, yet they replaced the rack steering at 27000 miles. I have since replaced the tires and had the vehicle aligned and they are alreary worn out again with 10000 miles on them. Any newer Tundra I see on the road seems to have the same issue with various tire brands high end or not. Ie michelin, toyo, bridgestone.

B. F. Goodrich rugged trail t/a tires started cracking in the tread crown at 13,000 miles on all four tires with 9/32" of tread left. The cracks run longitudinally along the tread on both the outer and inner side of the tread. I have inspected other Toyota Tundras with the same tires that are also cracking. Now at 16,000 miles the tires are making a loud rumbling noise and the cracks are growing larger and longer. Both michelin and Toyota were notified and both refused to take appropriate corrective action.

2007 Toyota Tundra. Consumer writes regarding tire tread wear on vehicle the consumer was informed by the dealer, the problem was a tire issue, not an alignment issue. The consumer has since replaced the tires. (bridgestone dueler).
I purchased a 2010 Toyota Tundra in Aug. At nearly 3k miles, both the front tires - bridgestone dueler h/t p275 65r18 114t m+s - had to be replaced due to extreme cupping. Now at close to 8500 total miles, front tires are cupping again. Dealer tells me to "keep driving," there's nothing they can do. I have 4-5 documented cases of bringing the vehicle in complaining about the cupping since purchased new in August. I just examined tires again this morning and they continue to wear, outside edges - cupping. Alignment on vehicle has been performed to specs numerous times.
Bf goodrich rugged trail tires have no outer water channels to displace water. I have these tires on my 07 Toyota Tundra and hydroplaning is a big concern. I've searched for consumer reviews and have read where others have the same concern.

Toyota is putting bf goodrich rugged trail t/a tires on their 2008 Toyota Tundra crewmax trucks in size p275/65r18 but are using michelin ltx a/s as a spare in size p255/70r18. The michelin is approximately 3/8" smaller in diameter. I have asked for a tire that matches the others as a spare but they refuse even though I believe it to be a safety issue in inclement weather.
I bought my 2007 Tundra 6/30/2007 ran great until around 18,500 mi. At that time the transmission started making a banging noise which it felt like the 05 4 runner. The 4 runner still does it but it runs and drives fine. The Tundra is getting really bad as it is grinding and banging. I have been in contact with Toyota from my area and they keep saying I have to bring it in to have it checked. I have had several appointments and they usually call and cancel the appointment. I contacted different corporate exc's and one from California called and made an app. And I was there for it. I waited for 1 1/2 hours and the rep didn't show. I am now going to send mr. Akio toyoda, president of Toyota a certified letter. His address iscorporate headquarters* 1 Toyota-cho Toyota city, aichi 471-8571 japan phone: 81 5 6528 2121 fax: 81 5 6523 5800 I hope everyone that has a problem will send a certified letter to him and let him know how embarrassed the Toyota CO.
