Vehicle horn does not work. Intermittently works. When horn does not work you can here the relay clicking when horn is pressed but no sound. Send that horn is not receiving current. This is a safety concern, for example I was unable to alert vehicle in front of me that was reversing that was unable to see me. We were in a parking structure waiting for a parking spot. The vehicle in front of me found a parking but required to reverse to pull in to designated stall. The large vehicle could not see my small Beetle and reversed into me. I honked the gotten but horn would not honk. I was quick enough to set my vehicle in reverse and avoid any damage. After reviewing similar issues with other 2016 vw Beetles, this is not an isolated case.

Car would stall and abruptly stop when operating and all engine and electrical functions and safety features would turn off and not work (e. G. , engine, assisted brakes, air bags, horn, running lights, brake lights, hazard lights, entire dashboard would not work). About 10 minutes later, the car would power up again and run. The problem was intermittent (it happened again) and neither the manufacturer nor dealer could find the cause. The owner refused to drive it anymore unless they found the cause because the abrupt stopping could be catastrophic on the highway. The current position of the manufacturer and dealer is that it never happened. Another case is reported here where the same car abruptly stopped three times and the manufacturer and dealer could not find the cause.

There is a delay between when the horn button is pressed and when it sounds. That's a hazard and makes no sense.
Purchased 1999 vw Beetle 20 months ago. Car has only 54,000 miles. Since owning the car have already over $3,500 in repairs. All of the repairs were done at my local darcar vw repair shop. I believe some of these repairs were recalls and have all receipt. Is there someone I can sent my repair receipts to to see if I can be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses which should have been recall services? I can forward receipts. Also seven days ago the passenger side window regulator broke and it appears it had been recalled per two vw owner who had same problems but I can't find the recall information on it. Can you suggest how I can view all recalls for 1999 vw Beetle GLS?.
