Car has stalled 2x while driving on a highway. When trying to accelerate, the car will buck and hesitate at about 2k to 3k rpm and have virtually 0 acceleration. The epc light will kick on and then the car has slower acceleration but it does not buck and hesitate. The issue happens when the car is cold and warming up. When the car stalled, I was downshifting, and then the battery light came on. The car just died. Had to pull over and then restart the car. The car would then buck and hesitate again until the epc light came on. I am afraid this will happen when crossing a road and cause an accident.

Over the last several weeks (3-4) I've observed the Cc straining (as if the battery doesn't have the amps) to start the vehicle. This past weekend the car wouldn't start and I can't charge the battery enough to produce the cranking amps to turn it over. The local vw dealership states that they have not received instructions as to how to diagnose or repair the vehicle at this time. We have less than 45000 mile on the Cc - this shouldn't be an issue for this vehicle. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There have been 3 incidents in which my vehicle suddenly, without warning shuts down (absolutely no power) while I am driving on the highway, approximately 30 mph. I was fortunate that there was significant traffic and the vehicle had enough momentum to get to the emergency lane. I placed the vehicle in park and let it sit for approximately 3 to 5 minutes. I then pushed the start button and it started without incident. I took the vehicle to riverside Volkswagen where they conducted a diagnostic check and stated there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. After informing them of the safety recall, they said there was nothing they can do and declined to provide me with a loaner vehicle. The service representative could not confirm or deny if the issues reported were related to the safety recall. I then contacted the customer relations office to request further assistance; however, they said there was nothing they can do and I had to wait until the recall was released. I do not have an alternate vehicle to use and I commute a minimum of 80 miles a day to go to work. My husband is recovering from a heart surgery and I have a 2 year old granddaughter, who are consistently inside this vehicle. I am in serious fear for my safety and that of my family's. Everyday I go to work, I fear I will be rear ended and it is frustrating not knowing how long I will continue to endure this risk, as I was told the recall will be on hold for an unknown period of time. Please help!.

This concerns recall, 17v509, for my 2015 vw Cc. It has almost been a years since the recall was issued but still there is no fix in sight. The recall states that the problem could leave me stranded at best and cause a wreck at worst. I have avoided driving the car since last August and I sure hate paying for something I am afraid to drive. Such a long wait for such a seemingly simple fix is ridiculous. Maybe vw should be forced to supply us with rental cars until the fix is ready.
