I am a u. S service member stationed overseas. I will be serving overseas until November 2021. While driving on the autobahn with my family, I got on the left lane to pass a vehicle next to me. When I hit on the accelerator, out of the blue, my vehicle seems to lose power and the epc code on my dashboard started flashing. The vehicle started choking and slowed down instead. In confusion and the loud honking from the vehicles behind and next to me, I turned my hazard lights and switched to the far right lane. I immediately contacted the local vw dealership in germany and was informed that there was a recall on my vehicle for the fuel pump module and takata airbag but it could only be done in the states. I contacted omsc and they informed me that there was nothing they could do and I would have to contact vw America. When I contacted vw America and told them about my situation, I was informed I would have to wait until 2021 when I return to the u. S. I am worried for my safety and that of my family driving this vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.

Received a recall, I take the car to leesburg Volkswagen, for fuel pump module replacement 10/26/2018, yesterday 11/2/2018 driving in highway with my wife car suddenly shutoff in the middle of highway, I had to tow my car home, from then car not start any more, recall destroy my car, car that was running perfectly, "now who will pay for all this? "me"?.
Vehicle keeps misfiring. Check engine light remains on. Epc light comes on periodically after fuel pump was replaced. While driving car jerks and check engine light begins to flash. Lots of wear to tires within a few thousand miles. Breaks must be push on hard to stop. The dealership said the only thing that was wrong was a code for carbon buildup. Dealership would not provide code just a price of $1000. Spark plugs and coils were changed before purchasing vehicle. I'm certain the fuel pump was not changed. The vehicle uses 1/8 of a tank to warm up.

Engine is turning over but only starting occasionally. When it does start, the epc and check engine/catalytic converter lights are illuminated. This is happening now after I had to figure out the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced. . . Before there was a recalled issued at my own expense. Car ran fine earlier today, then when trying to leave my house, took an extended time to start. Shut it off to see if it was a glitch, and didn't start at all.

Around 8/8/18 I popped my hood to give a guy a jumpstart & smelled gas. Thought that was as odd so with the hood opened I started the car. When I returned to look under the hood I noticed a stream of gasoline coming out of the top of the high pressure fuel pump (bosch mfg: 06h127025n sku: 3649). The dealership said that the retaining clip on these fuel pumps at the top of the connector are known to be weak and give out causing large fuel leaks. I've noticed while researching replacement parts that some manufacturers use bolts rather than a thin retainer clip that gives out. After finding this leak I have noticed that the gas continues to spew out even after the car is off, and at times stops then starts again. Which could have something to do with the recall for the control module that plugs into this pump & states it could continuously run, which is bad enough but then add in that the pump that is always running is known to leak fuel, very dangerous.
My car was on a large blvd with other cars in motion when all of a suden with out notice just completely shut off. This was not the first time it happened it happened many times before. I take it to the dealership to fix the problem and no results I still have the same problem. I fear for my life I feel like my car is a death trap and one day a big tragedy can occur dew to the fact that the dealership fails to provide the right service. It's an ongoing situation for many years with no results. I received a recall on June 2018 for a fuel pump control module, dealership assured me that was the reason why the vehicle was shutting off in motion they installed the fuel pump control module on July 2018 and problem still occurring.
Fuel pump control module replaced and relocated on July 18th, 2018. However, on August 3rd, 2018, while driving alone in the #4 lane of the freeway, my car suddenly stopped. No warning. No chugging. The engine just stopped. Fortunately, there was enough traffic for the vehicles behind me to slow down to avoid me. I immediately turned my hazard lights on while desperately trying to get the car to turn back on. Thankfully it did within a minute or two giving me just enough time to cut across the highway to pull off to the side of the road. I immediately called the service department at my local dealership to inform them of what happened and they were perplexed and told me to take it to the nearest vw dealership if the engine light wasn't flashing, which at the time it wasn't. That dealership turned me away and told me I should be able to make it to my regular dealership. I was only able to drive about 10 more miles before my car completely shut off and would not start. I had my car towed to my regular dealership where they believe it may be the fuel pump. Since I had the recall completed prior, I am very fearful that I won't be so lucky next time. Had traffic been going at the regular speed, I believe I would have been seriously injured or dead. I need to be reassured that these recalls are done right and tested to ensure there aren't faulty parts and that safety is paramount.
I received a recall for my fuel pump. I went and got the fuel pump replaced. Now that the fuel pump has been replaced, my car is not starting, shaking at red lights, turning off on its own, windows coming down on its own, air not working and coming back on. I was in motion backing up and my car just turned off on its on. I am at a standstill with what am I supposed to do if the vehicle had a recall- that was supposedly replaced but made the car worse.

Nhtsa recall number17v509: I had my epc dash light for my vehicle turned on while driving on the highway to my job on 6/14/18 . The drive was really rough and bumpy and the exhaust was fuming with emissions from the back. I eventually got to my job, offed my car and had to get my car towed to my local mechanic on 6/18/18 where he found that the fuel pump module was faulty. He charged me $323. 30 out the door for the fuel pump module and labor. I contacted vw to seek for reimbursement on 6/22/18 but was told there is a "pending recall" and that it has not become active yet so they cannot issue me a reimbursement until then. As per NHTSA this recall was known since 8/16/17 and it has now been nearing a year without any resolution. I am seeking to get my amount reimbursed as soon as possible and hoping that NHTSA will be able to assist in this.

My vehicle had 2 recall not resolved with Volkswagen. One of them is 20ae fuel pump module recall, which could potentially caused loss of motive power while in motion. I had this symptoms 5 times in a week, when I drive on the street the car just stalled. Volkswagen's dealer told me the repair is unavailable. They have no estimation how long I need to wait before the repair parts available. I definitely don't want to take the risk to continue driving my car. But alternate transportation in not provided by Volkswagen.
My car shut down while I was driving the car had fuel and wasn't able to register there was fuel in the car and was told it was the throttle body and that my converter went bad. It had all the signs of a fuel component problem. I am told the converter and throttle body damage can be directly from the fuel pump issues.
While travelling on the highway at speed, my engine cut out and left me with no power. I was travelling up a hill so there was a dramatic decrease in speed, causing others to swerve around me as I made my way to the shoulder. Fortunately no accident occured, but I feel like I was lucky. I was towed to a vw dealership, and they indicated that the fuel pump control module had melted. Not only did this cause my vehicle to stall, but because the fuel pump control module is located above the fuel pump and tank, I was lucky the vehicle didn't catch on fire. I let the dealership know that the fpcm was under a recall for behavior like I experienced, but they did not know, and forced me to pay $998. 25 to replace the fuel pump control module and the fuel pump assembly, which was damaged when the fpcm melted. I've looked up the timing on this recall and they say that a fix has not been issued due to a shortage of parts or unknown fix. This is completely unacceptable, as the fpcm that was placed in my vehicle when it was fixed is a new revision which isn't covered under the recall. It seems that they do have the parts, why has it taken over 8 months from the recall notice to figure out how to move it to a better location? this issue needs to be excalated and a fix needs to be issued promptly. Not only do you have an issue with vehicles stalling on the road, but the potential of a violent fire is significantly high.
My fuel pump isn't working on my vehicle which there is an open recall from Volkswagen which was put in place August of 2017 this is now mid April and my vehicle is out of commission and Volkswagen claim even though they have the open recall they aren't authorized to start making the repairs for these faulty vehicles which leaves us consumers stuck with unsafe vehicles and in my case an vehicle I'm making payments on but can't currently drive because my fuel system went complexity out so now my car won't crank which leaves me in an extreme bind considering I use my car for work. So now I'm currently out of work I spoke with the Volkswagen dealership this morning and they can't offer any loaners or any assistance until they receive authorization to start repairs. 8 months after the recall has been issued and they are still not authorized to make these repairs????? they claim they still have not been shipped the parts????? how is this possible I know I'm not the only person affected by this situation it's a recall on 281,000 vehicles made by them. You would think they would act swiftly in repairing these vehicles my car initially would stall often but I continued to drive it because again it's my only means on transportation and I have a loan out on it and can't just not make my car payments or my credit will be screwed. So after driving an u safe car that stalls on the highways, local roadways and anywhere else I may have driven my vehicle now it's not working at all and there's nothing they are doing about it as of yet. . . . . 8 months after they issued the recall and still no help to the consumers dealing with these issues.
In February of 2017, my vehicle stalled on a busy freeway while in motion and completely died, after towing the vehicle to the dealership they determined several parts needed to be replaced including mounting, bearing, c valve, ah separator, ribbedbelt, tensioner, c-gasket, d-gasket, seal ring and bolt. After driving the vehicle home again it died. I took it back to the dealership where they replaced the fuel pump module, washer and control unit. The car appeared to be driving fine the day I left, but the next morning it wouldn't start. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership in which they advised I needed a new battery. I kept up with all service and in January of 2018 while driving the vehicle, it stalled yet again while in motion, with vehicles almost striking me, after towing the vehicle to the dealership, they advised it was the fuel pump module again. They replaced the part. The car was driving fine until March 2018 when the vehicle stalled on the freeway while in motion. The dealership now states the bushings are cracked and dry rotted, and the mechatronic unit has failed and the vehicle now needs a new transmission.

Nhtsa recall number 17v509 was issued 8/16/2017. This vw recall is about a fuel pump failure. So far the fuel pump is ok, but a failure is potentially a big safety issue. As of 2/20/2018, vw does not have a date when a fix will be available. I want to trade in the Cc to buy an Audi, but the Audi dealer won't take a trade-in since there is an outstanding recall on the Cc. When will this be fixed?.
