Volkswagen CC owners have reported 96 problems related to other fuel system pump (under the other fuel system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My vehicle had comlete loss of motive power while in motion, I let it roll to the side of the road and shut it off by taking the key out of the ignition. After restarting it it seemed to run fine, I was only 5 minuets away from home. Second incident happened on my way to work in morning rush hour on the highway , same situation accrued. After waiting a minute to restart it worked fine. After this happened on a daily basis I timed how long my car would run before it would happen again, it ran for 14 min and would loose all motive power, all other power worked fine, like lights, radio and so on. I then went on the Volkswagen website and researched the problem, coming to find out there is a recall on my problem. My vehicle was always in motion when it happened, on highway, side roads. I was lucky not to get hit or come to a comlete stop in the center of an intersection!!! I took my car to a vw repealer and explained my finding and gave them the recall number 20ae, they fixed it by replacing the fuel pump controll module, due to the module being bad I also had to get new fuel pump.

Regarding NHTSA recall # 17v509, the manufacturer has yet to issue a remedy in order for me to get the car fixed. I've had numerous times in which my battery drained and I had to get my car jumped. I couldn't understand why it kept happening until I received a takata notice regarding airbags also being recalled at which point I ran a search via VIN and discovered the fuel pump recall instead. Please assist. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning while driving approximately 20 mph. The vehicle was towed to an unknown dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump module failed. The contact received a notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline) in October of 2017, but the dealer stated that parts were unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Cc. While idling, the vehicle stalled and the engine warning indicator illuminated. As of November 2017 my Volkswagen Cc has become inoperable and a safety hazard due to the fuel pump control module - recall 20ae. At any given time why driving my car will completely shut off in traffic daily/consistently. Notices were sent out to us in October about recall but still says no repair information available at this time. Dealer has yet to resolve issue. Under my rights it's unfair and I should have to pay for this to be fixed in which there is a pending recall. This is a very urgent matter which should not be stalled off nor delayed any longer. Can someone please assist me immediately with getting the proper repairs and my vehicle being fixed. Thanks, eric wheat - Volkswagen owner.

My car has left me stranded twice. It all started when my fuel pump started to leak gas all over my car. Once I got the fuel pump replaced. My vehicle ran fine on my way to the store but when I came back to my car it turned over and let me pull out of my parking spot but then died when I went to put it in drive in the parking lot. I attempted to jump my car but it did not work. I replaced the battery on 10/9/17 and it appeared to solve the issue. On 10/29/17 I drove my car up north to payson. It ran completely fine until I shut it off to go to the creek. When I came back to my car it would not turn over again. I bought a battery and replaced it yet again. This time the battery did not help get the car to turn over the only thing that showed up was an epc light. I left the car over night and came back to it the next day it started up just fine with no epc light. I took it to a repair shop and they were unable to diagnosis anything wrong with the car. I picked my car up on oct 30th. It ran fine with no hesitation up until the morning of 11/10/17. While driving on the freeway my car lost power and would not accelerate. I was able to pull it to the side of the road. My epc light, check engine light, and battery light all came on. The car would not turn over again. I reached out to the dealership and they told me to contact customer care through Volkswagen. When I reached out to customer care all they told me was to go back to the dealership and that they can't do anything for me because the recall is not complete. They have no offer of a loaner car or anything while I wait for them to fix the issue. So I'm left with a car that randomly shuts down and loses power from time to time. This is not acceptable.
17v509 recall number on certain vehicles, there could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. This could result in the fuel pump running continuously, resulting in a drained battery and/or a no start condition, or cause a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. I am very concerned for my safety in the vw recall of the fuel pump injector. Capital volkswagon in san jose wants me to continue driving the potential dangerous car until they get the parts from volkswagon. I asked for a loaner car and they will not give me one or reimburse me for one until the part comes in. This seems extremely dangerous. They claim they do not have the recall fix and therefore I need to keep driving the death trap?.

Takata recall - there are 3 recalls on my type of car. I have experience one of the serious symptoms of the recall. Please read all. Driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture (due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute high humidity and temperature cycling). 2nd vehicle has had interruption of electrical power, which caused a drained battery and no start condition. [ on certain vehicles, there could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. This could result in the fuel pump running continuously, resulting in a drained battery and/or a no start condition, or cause a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion]3. Air or other fibers may contaminate the airbag clock spring (a spiral wound, flat cable that keeps the airbag powered while the steering wheel is being turned). This contamination may tear the cable and result in a loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal airbag.
1. Takata recall - airbag not replaced yet. 2. Recall for for fuel pump control module information not received yet.
We expend to buying constantly the ignition coil . One year ago we change the water pump, and one month ago we changed the fuel pump. We had recall for the air bag which was changed at the dealership. Now we have a problem with the tires n 5000 plus because have bubbles in the sides.
While driving on the highway at a high speed the car stopped with no power. There was no warning. I understand it was the fuel pump. I was almost killed in high speed highway traffic with no warning.
17v509 recall #. Fuel pump control module could cause power outage and already has. Twice. And they are still refusing to fix this. I've had to replace my battery and two months later was stranded because I lost power while stationary.

Nhtsa recall number: 17v509. Manufacturer recall number: 20ae. Fuel pump control module. I heard about the recall in August of 2017 and a letter was mailed to me October 2017 about the recall. It has been almost four months since the letter was received and the parts still are not available for vw to correct this. My vehicle has been losing power while the vehicle is in motion which has almost caused vehicle accidents on several occasions. It is a major hazard and very dangerous to myself and others around me when it happens each time and needs to get corrected ASAP. I'm filing this because the manufacturer (vw) has failed to remedy this safety hazard in a timely manner and they are unable to provide me with a date that it will be resolved. Meanwhile, I drive every day and the risks of an accident increase each and every day due to this problem.
Volkswagen in mt pleasant south carolina had me bring my car in to get a fuel pump replaced. This was back in October of 2017. Volkswagen put a faulty fuel pump in my car and the car no longer runs. I spoke with the general mgr recently and the head tech - they said we cannot do anything for you. I also called Volkswagen customer service and they said its not their problem. They put a faulty fuel pump in my car.
I started the engine and sat in my car a few minutes before taking off when my car died. I waited a couple of minutes and I started it again, but again it died. The fuel pump control module failed. Luckily I wasn't driving the car. I had to have it towed to my house on a sat evening, then again to the dealer on Monday. Apparently there is a recall on this. Dealer installed another module from the old stock which can fail again. Vw said they would reimburse me but they are waiting until they have a solution. I don't know why I have to wait for them to pay for the damage. I incurred the cost and by the grace of god I am not dead. This is a very dangerous situation when the fuel pump doesn't receive electricity to pump fuel into the system.
The contact owns a 2012 Volkswagen Cc. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled without warning and completely shut off. The contact was able to steer the vehicle to the side of the road as it drifted. The contact had the vehicle towed to alexandria Volkswagen (107 w glebe rd, alexandria, va, 22305; 703-684-8888) where it was diagnosed that the main fuel pump and the high pressure fuel pump failed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure/issue and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under the recall at the time. The manufacturer provided a case number. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I received information dated October 2017 from Volkswagen of America, inc. 3800 hamlin road auburn hills, mi 48326 with a recall notice for my vehicle NHTSA: 17v509 stating under specific operating conditions, an interruption in the electrical power supply to the fuel pump control module can result in fuel pump failure and lead to a loss of vehicle motive power while driving (vehicle stall). This condition can also cause the fuel pump to run continuously, resulting in a drained vehicle battery and/or a no-start condition. this means an engine can stall while driving and can increase the risk of a vehicle crash. This is very alarming to me, and I am concerned about my safety along with my infant son who is a passenger in my car daily. I have called 2 local vw dealerships (dorschel & ide Volkswagen) in rochester, NY and have been notified multiple times that there is no fix at the moment. I owe over $10,000 on this vehicle currently and have limited income so I have no choice but to keep this vehicle and drive it. I have had multiple issues with this car and several recalls. I have put over $2,200 in repairs on this car in the last 4 months for defective sensors and wiring. This new recall can directly cause a deadly accident and I am at a lost for words!.
My car has lost power on several occasions and have had to buy several new batteries because of this issue. Vehicle safety hotline complaint #11097626. Vw case #180469589. Letter to vw headquarters: good morning shayna s. , yesterday I visited the vw dealership and had extensive work done on my car. At which time I brought up the recall of October 2017. They explained the recall of October 2017 for fuel pump control module will not be resolved anytime soon. I explained the vehicle safety hotline told me the car was not safe to drive because it could cause a fire and to request a loaner. The manager denied my request for a loaner. I am a senior citizen and am very concerned about this situation. I will be forwarding this letter to them in regard to complaint no. 11097629.
Interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. My car continously stop while driving. Visited repair shops to change fuel pump in 2015 and 09/30/2017 to change fuel pump and the control module after the car went completely dead. Battery was also replace. On 10/15/2017, I received recall letter from the manufacturer for the same issue have been spending money on. I would like to get refund for the money I have spent. I couldn't locate the receipt for the first repair in 2015, I will contact meineke for it. Thank you.
Vehicle will stall out while driving or pulling out from a stopped position. It is very dangerous as it does this on a daily basis. My daughter had it stall out on the interstate while giving it gas to pass another vehicle. She was in the middle of the interstate sitting there and called 911. The vehicle restarted but put her in a very dangerous position on a busy interstate. There is a recall on the fuel pump and electrically that was issued a year ago -- however there are no parts to fix it they say. We have not been notified of any parts. I have called vw and they said that if I took it to a dealer for diagnosis they might could help with financial assistance. I took it to the dealer and they said there was no code indicating that the fuel pump problem existed. However, I explained that the car is doing exactly what the recall says is happening. I am so frustrated and feel that vw is putting our family at risk on a daily basis. We need this part and repair done on our car immediately. Waiting over a year when a known problem exist is just not right -- when this can put a life at risk. If the car stalls out pulling out in front of another vehicle or going down the road on a busy interstate when giving it gas to pass a vehicle is just a horrific accident waiting to happen. Numerous lives could be impacted.
The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Cc. The contact stated that the engine warning indicator remained illuminated while driving various speeds. The vehicle was taken to jim ellis Volkswagen of atlanta (5901 peach st blvd, atlanta, GA 30341) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 47,053.
I have a 2010 Volkswagen Cc sport with a little more than 91872 miles on it. I was accelerating on the highway and my vehicle began to sputter. The epc light and the check engine warning light came one. My vehicle has had sluggish acceleration since then. I have noticed that this problem has occurred with several Volkswagen owners. There seems to be several different options when it comes to repairing this problem. The only thing that seems to be common is that it occurred when accelerating. The other thing that I have noticed is that this problem is not specific to one vehicle in the Volkswagen line up. This is definitely a manufacturers safety defect in their system that needs to be corrected before it causes an accident. I am aware of NHTSA recall number17v509 (manufacturer recall number20ae). This recall is for the fuel pump module which could result in a no start condition or a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion. The epc warning light has the same safety risk as this recall. This could result in a loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 103,000. The VIN was unavailable.

After waiting 7 months for a fuel pump control module for my 2012 vw vv, it is still not available. The first recall notice that I checked was 8/16/17. Therefore the work for this safety recall has not been done. Cutrubus motors in layton, ut told me today the replacement part is not available. After nearly 7 months vw has not repaired this safety recall in a timely manner. Frustrating. I had a similar problem involving an takata airbag replacement. When I finally did have an appoint they said they did not have this airbag replacement in stock. I had to come in a second time to get the airbag replaced.

Volkswagen announced a recall of the fuel pump on August 16, 2017. Eight months later they do not have a remedy. This seem irresponsible of the manufacturer.

My vehicle was in motion when it suddenly stopped and turned off in the middle of the road. Leaving me 9 months pregnant straded in the middle lf the road with my 4 year old in the back seat on our way to take her to school.
