The tire went flat as I was driving and when I had to change the tire I noticed that the tire had blown out on the sidewall on the inside of the rim of the car. The car only has 12,000 miles and I had a tire rotation done on my first oil change. I called the dealership to see if the tire was covered under warranty since I brought the car new for steve white vw of greenville, SC. They told me since I didn’t buy a warranty with the purchase of the car then it was nothing they could do about it. I brought a car thinking that the tires should be good until they wear out not blow out. Also I have tpms light on as well as the check engine light is on in the vehicle. 205/55r17.

205/60 r 16 I was driving on the loop 101 south in scottsdale, arizona going highway speeds when I heard my passenger side rear tire explode. There were no preceding warning lights or tire pressure warnings before it happened. I pulled over and say that the sidewall blew out on both sides. There were no puncture marks on the tire that would have caused the blowout except for the sidewall failing.

We own a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. While driving at 55 mph, he heard a loud bang noise and experienced difficulty steering the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. We pull over to inspect the vehicle, we did not see any problems with the tires and they looked ok. But there was smoke coming up from the front passenger side. We were able to drive the vehicle another mile before more smoke was coming from under the passenger side. When we pulled over again we realized the right front tire on the passenger side was shredded. We called aaa. Replaced the tire with the spare and went home. We called the vw dealer and took the car in. They said it was a front suspension coil spring that broke and punctured the right front tire.

The hankook tires I have are bolding way too early. They started to at 32,000 for the first 2 tires and 18,000 for the other 2. The tires are rated for 70,000 miles and I'm not getting anywhere near that. Every time it rains I hydroplane and its now unsafe for me to drive my car. I have contacted hankook and was told to go to the place of purchase. So I go to vw and they told me there is nothing they can do for all 4 but only the 2. After some arguing they tell me to drive around on my bolding tires and were them down more and they will try to get me new tires but I would still have to pay. This is unsafe for a car dealer to tell me to continue driving on the, even after they seen how worn down they were! this is also the 2nd set of tires I had for this car with the same problem. The car only has 52000 miles now.

On 10/18/17 went to tires plus for a wheel alignment and found out that all 4 tires were defective. They were continental tires, belt had separated on all 4 tires. The size were 225/45/17. And the car was a 2015 vw Jetta with 19k on tires. Called continental tires while at tires plus and was told they don't deal with the consumer. Called vw gunther in coconut creek, FL and they don't warranty ties on car whether new or used cars. On 10/19/17 called vw America, who got in contact with continental tires. Continental tires said there was a 72 month warranty on tires. All I had to do was get 4 new continental tires put on my car, take back and ship at my expense the old tires; (4) and there is no guarantee if continental tires feels that the tires were defective in my favor, continental tires would pro rate my tires at the time the car was built in the factory, when these tires were installed and give me a credit at what vw factory paid for the tires. Continental tires will not take the word of tires plus as they are a authorize dealer for there tires.

Traveling on the interstate aproximatley 70 mph, the left rear tire tread separated. This resulted in a loss of control and the vehicle impacted the guard rail. At this point the engine and transmission separated from the car as the car continued to spin down the road. The car came to a rest after approximately 3 spins, and the engine came to rest on the opposite side of the 3 lane interstate.

Lost traction on a snow covered road driving at a slow speed of aprox 35 mph. The tires would not grip in the snow. The car slid about 100 feet and crossed a major state highway. The tires are made by primewell ps830. The tires are mfg in china. I'm making this complaint . After reading on message boards about primewell tires. Its seems to be a common issue with traction with the tires in snow or rain. In a brief they hold air some times and are round. I feel they are a danger to drivers of the car and other people on the highway. My wife was driving to work when this took place. She dose not drive fast on the county road we live on. As there are deer every where. When she told me what happen she said " I was going to die when the car kept sliding into the highway. " there was a heavy truck that she passed behind. If the timing was different there could of been a serious accident. This is her first car that has traction control. When she said it something to do with the traction control. I explained what traction control is. She said maybe the tires have a hard rubber compound. I started my primewell search after that. There is something really wrong with the tires.

Palisades vw in NY striped my car of all original part and they are telling me that the car comes with old winter tires. I have tried to resolve this with them and they laughed in my face and told me to go and talk to the people that sold me car. My nephew changed my tire he said that I still am going to need a new one because he thought I a donut but I told him I have a full tire that it was not a donut and when he was done he told it wasn't. It was a full tire but again I figured maybe I was did not pay attention or I really did not see a full tire. When I got a flat on October 7th I did not want to bring my car back to palisade vw because they did not do a good job so I went back to where I got my car and they called and asked if I had my tires changed because the tires are not the one the car came with. I have never changed my tires and I did notice that they where different from when I got the car. Not only that but palisade mechanic stole my gas had a full tank both times and I got my car back with less then a1/4. Please please I am begging for help I am a waitress I do not have the money for this I can't even afford to get apt please help me I am begging you. I need this car to be safe because I live with my niece and I baby sit her kid in exchange for room and board. These people saw the car seat and did not care if I crashed my car and killed the baby or any one else for that matter. Again I am begging for your help.
My 2010 vw tdi sportwagon eats up the inside of the tires, very quickly. I just purchased my fifth set of tires for a car with less than 70,000 miles on it. I've had the alignment checked three times, and it continually shows to be within specs. The first two times, I had a vw dealership check the alignment, and both times they told me there was nothing they could do. I just had a private mechanic check the alignment, and he said I couldn't have a more perfect alignment, according to vw's specs. The last set of tires I purchased were rated for 55,000 miles, but I only got 15,000 out of them before the insides were worn down into the belts. This is a very dangerous situation since the rest of the tire looks new, and unless you get the car up on a lift, or lay down on the ground to deliberately look at the inside of the tires, you cannot see the damage taking place, and placing the operator in a situation where a blow-out can occur without warning. Plus, not to mention the extremely high cost of tire purchases to operate this vehicle.

I own a 2006 vw Jetta tdi and have 30,000 miles on the vehicle. I noticed at about 25,000 miles the vehicle developed a vibration in the front end. I took it to the vw dealer and had the front end inspected for problems, but none noted. I had the wheel rotated and balanced and that did not help the problem. The tech at vw dealer noticed wear in the middle of the tire. He stated that my tires (turanza el 400-02, 205/55r16) are more than likely the cause of the vibration and there is nothing they could do except replace all the tires. Will be taking the vehicle to a firestone dealer soon to fight the battle with them.
Contact owns a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta. Two and a half months after purchasing the vehicle, he observed a blister on the front driver side tire. The dealer advised him that he has to purchase a new tire since there was no warranty on the tire and to contact bridgestone for assistance. They also informed him that they do not guarantee the original equipment. The dot, tire pressure and size were not available. The current and failure mileages were 1800. Updated 4/29/08.

The complaint is regarding the tires of the Jetta vw that we purchased in 2004/2005 model. The tire that falls under the driver side at the top continues to loose weight considerably compared to the other tires. It is not that specific tire, because I have rotated all four tires and it happens to all tires. This has been happening for about six months now. I called the local vw dealership and they said its not their problem.
The original accident happened while we were traveling for christmas (Dec 26, 2006). In a brand new car with "up graded" continental tires going about 60 mph the tires disintegrated, the car spun out of control and hit highway wall. It was a clear tire malfunctioned and after sending tire to continental north America in charlotte, nc they said that their "inspectors" found no fault. We asked them to reconsider and ended up getting a $1,500 goodwill offer from them. Needless to say we had a rental car for 8 weeks while out car with $6,000 in damages was fixed. Just this week as we were about to counter offer and get at least out of pocket expenses, since its going into the 2nd year, another "upgraded tire" shredded. This time with our 4 month old son in it. The only thing extra they added to the claim was to pay for new tires for us. They have not bargained in good faith and they are using their corporate power to deflect the liability of producing inferior products. Of the original set of 4 "upgraded" tires, 3 have been replaced with 2 completely shredding through the middle.
Dry rot of all 4 douglas tires. During state inspection at Volkswagen dealership/repair in north greenbush NY - failed inspection due to all 4 tires being dry rotted.
This complaint is in reference to a flaw and misrepresentation of goodyear eagle LS 195/65 tires installed on a 2002 vw Jetta 1. 8t. He tires wear excessively, and caused me to lose traction in the rain and crash. The crash caused $7,800 in damage to my vehicle. The manufacturer misrepresents the tires as having excellent wet traction, and very durable tread wear. These tires should be investigated, as I have also herd of other complaints and will attempt to contact goodyear directly.

Purchased car in January 2002 new from dealer, in shop 2 days later tire not installed, causing it to go flat, happened again 2 days after that, and again the next week, finally rims and tires were replaced problem solved. Then hand brake failed, in shop to fix, 2 weeks after it was returned failed again, fixed, then 3 weeks after that if failed again, then the window brackets broke, then engine failed that was supposedly on a recall part, was fixed, then it failed a few months later again, supposedly fixed, then it failed again only this time they said it was the catalytic converter, then it failed again this time they said it was the oil pump and hose and blamed that on us, then it failed again, was fixed, and now it is completely down again.
The tires are being cut from the inside while driving. They are cut in a similar fashion. The consumer has gone through six sets of tires. It is always the two front tires. Tire brand: good year eagle rsa p225 45 r 17, m67ren or 3103. Please provide any further information.
This car has had too many serious problems to be limited to this small space. It is clearly a lemon. These problems substantially impair the use and value of the vehicle. The car received a new transmission yesterday after we had reported 3 previous times that there it remained in reverse after shifting into drive. Each time we were told it was unreproduceable and the complaint was never noted on the work orders. Finally, the dealership did relent and replace the transmission. We encountered the same type of treatment with the engine burning oil, and it wasn't until the engine ran completely out of oil, that the dealer would address the problem. The first time we had complained about the oil was 2 months after we had bought the car!!!.
I was driving in a parking lot when I heard a crash and my car stopped moving. The front right tire had fallen off.

The coils on my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 1. 8t are burning out. Volkswagen of America has informed me that rather than replace all 4 coils, I must wait until each coil burns out before they will replace it. I have a letter from them as well stating they are aware of the problem but can not do anything more about it due to a lack of coils in stock. I guess the letter is a way to shut the customers up. Apparently this is happening to over 500,000 people last I heard. I want this complaint logged and a personal note added and directed to Volkswagen of America (if possible), "I will not renew my lease on this lemon and I will never purchase another Volkswagen again. " the coil issue is just one of the issues I'm having with this vehicle. The date below is the last time I went in for coil replacement and got to work late.
