The dash information sytem will randomly go blank and display srs and brake failure, along with all information lights blinking on and off. Also the analog gauges like the speedometer and fuel gauge will go to "0" and empty or just move eratically to any number or position while driving. At night sometimes the entire dash or information center will go black (no lights at all) and on odd occasions one headlight may go out and come back on.

3 Brakes Failed problem of the 2006 Volvo S60

Failure Date: 06/05/2007

I first experienced this brake failure 2 years ago during an exit from a highway on an uphill off-ramp. When I pressed the brake pedal, there was absolutely no braking power. Only after I lifted my foot from the brake and reapplied pressure did I have any braking power. This has only happened a few times and is very infrequent and random in its appearances, but is a recipe for disaster and is only a matter of time before someone is killed from it. There are multiple owners reporting the same failure. Volvo has not provided a solution to correct this failure.
