1 Lose Power Steering problem of the 2013 Acura TL

Failure Date: 11/15/2017

The car lost power steering completely while highway driving. Steering almost impossible to manage and a weaker/smaller/frail individual could not. Turning from a stop even more difficult. No warnings were given and the car was maintained religiously. The vehicle did have 109,000 miles but I have noticed numerous incidents reported online about the same problem with fewer miles. Power steering should be something that lasts the life of the car. This particular power steering involves a "module" that appears to fail frequently and can result in repairs totaling $3500. Most people will not be able to afford that cost. My mechanic also states he believes this is a much more frequent issue than is being reported since most just consider it a maintenance item. Power steering failure is not a routine issue.

2 Lose Power Steering problem of the 2013 Acura TL

Failure Date: 10/20/2017

Lost power steering while driving. Also at the same time tire pressure monitoring system lit up saying tires were low, when checked the tires were at proper pressure.

3 Lose Power Steering problem of the 2012 Acura TL

Failure Date: 01/03/2017

When driving my car at 60 mph the power steering failure notification was displayed on the console. Immediately I lost all power steering and was forced to drive without it. This was very dangerous and difficult to drive. The mechanice repeated the problem and requires the power steering motor to be replaced.

4 Lose Power Steering problem of the 2005 Acura TL

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

I lose power steering at very low speeds, I. E. When trying to park or trying to reverse out of parking or make a turn, but once the speed crosses 10-15 mph, power steering is fine. So far it has not happened at highway speeds, but I'm worried it might happen. I've seen this same very complaint by other Acura owners in multiple forums.
