Power Steering Pump Problems of Acura TL

Steering pump hose leaks. I have tighted the clamp which stopped it for a while but it is leaking again and the hose looks to be deteriating. This vehicle is not part of the current recall. Also the key gets stuck in the ignition and you cant get it out. Have had the ignition replaced and it has happeed again. A search will find that this issue is also on the mdx.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Acura Tl. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the vehicle began to smoke. There as no fire and the fire department was not contacted. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the power steering pump pluid was leaking into the catalytic converter. The contact was advised that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign 08v091000(steering) and spoke to tim short Acura 131 maccorkle Ave sw, charleston, wv 25303 who advised the contact to bring the vehicle in. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact also stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start as the key immobilizer light flashed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000. Np.

The hands free link works some of the times I have to bump the plastic cover for it to connect to my phone, also the power steering pump and resovor leaks constantly and the Acura dealership will not fix the problem because the car isn't under warranty this should be fixed when you get the hoses replaced because of the recall I think it should be as well. Very dissatisfied how Acura will not address the issues with the hfl and the power steering!!!!.

Power steering pressure hose leaking and power steering pump leak. Years 2004-27 have been recalled for this; 2003should be, as well. Right engine mount and rear engine mounts cracked or broken.

Nhtsa recalls 12v-222 and 08v-091 were enacted to address safety concerns about the power steering pump and associated hoses for certain 2007-2008 Acura Tls. For some reason, my VIN is not included in the recalls. However, I am experiencing the same symptoms as described by both recalls. So I have questioned Acura as to why my vehicle was not addressed as part of the recall but I have received no satisfactory answer other than to point out that my vehicle is outside of the warranty period and therefore the responsibility of the owner.

The contact owns a 2004 Acura Tl. While making a left turn, the steering wheel seized. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the power steering pump and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v091000 (steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 170,000.

The Acura Tl 2006 had a default pawer sleeve stiling which was defective because I had a broken hose. And bounced the aseite which was a recal the manufacturer where the pump is damaged by liqueo of aseite and guide is so hard I can not park well in the diler was told that the pump was burned by liqueo of aseite but they do not take hold responsible. The recall is to lend again and change aseite sleeve but the pump replacement on damage though is the factory default back to recalls current recalls description 2004-2008 Tl power steering hose VIN 19uua66266a028853 type safety recall campaign status fixed.

After the voluntary recall for the power steering pump hose to be repaired, the power steering pump began leaking. The dealer will not fix or repair the damage they caused to the pump.

Ongoing problems went to dealer told was fine. Experience leaks and noise issues was told no problem. Back to dealer was told something wrong with steering rack , power steering pump and leak somewhere. Vehicle had several recalls in past for same problems.

2006 Acura Tl is difficult to steer during parking lot maneuvers, k turns and parallel parking. When the wheel needs to be turned quickly to opposite lock during a maneuver the wheel becomes very difficult to turn setting a potential for a wide turn and colliding with near by objects. Dealer replaced steering rack, tires and states the steering pump is functioning as designed. Dealer states that this is a normal condition for the Acura Tl. No accidents or incidents have occurred a potential problem, however, if a quick avoidance maneuver is required.

Both mine and my friends power streeing pumps have gone bad right around the same time in our 2004 Acura Tl. Right around the 60k mark.
