While driving slowly through a shopping mall parking lot with my wife and [xxx] son onboard, the vehicle suddenly malfunctioned. The central locking system cycled repeatedly, and a warning briefly appeared mentioning a steering/light malfunction. Immediately afterward, the emergency release cables for all four doors deployed externally as if the car had been in a crash, even though no collision occurred. At the Audi dealership (Audi sugar land, TX), technicians confirmed by diagnostic scan that: the abs control module stored a fault for “invalid data. ” that invalid data was relayed to the airbag module, which falsely triggered a “crash response active” condition. All four door modules stored crash response faults and deployed the emergency release cables. The issue was confirmed, faults were cleared, but no parts were replaced. This false crash response put my family at risk because it activated emergency safety mechanisms without cause. My concern is that if invalid data can trigger a false crash event, it could also trigger other systems, such as airbags, leading to potential injury. The incident occurred with approximately 1,100 miles on the vehicle, one week after purchase, and immediately following the first 100% charge. The dealer documented the event and consulted Audi technical assistance, who authorized release of the vehicle after clearing the codes. This is a serious safety defect because critical systems activated without a real crash, creating unnecessary risk for occupants. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This vehicle had a claim for water pump replacement and the 3. 0 model has a recall for the turbo charger. This vehicle is experiencing the same issues and went from 70 mph to 0 and stalled on the freeway. Thankfully the semi and other vehicles were able to avoid me or my family would be reaching out instead of me. Currently the vehicle is parked in my garage because it is unsafe to drive. Can you please advise Audi to take responsibility and offer the same recalls on the 2. 0 vehicles for the water pump and turbo charger because they have the same internal parts as the 3. 0 vehicles that failed and these parts were covered.

It was recently began to leak fuel from the top of the engine close to the windshield. Then the whole cabin specially in the front where the steering wheel began to have bad vibration during reversed, and idle, also when the ac is on. Then theres the airbag for the passenger, the light is on, it used to say '"off" then when the seat is used it will shut off. Now it just stays on. Last is the ac compressor seems to be rattling like a bolt is loose. All the recalls have been happening with my Audi and still my VIN is not included.

Had the car parked in the driveway for about a week and half. When turned it on for the first time after that period, noticed the airbag light in the odometer panel continue to be on. Checked for any airbag recalls but found none. Although no airbag recalls have been placed on this particular vehicle so far; I found an online source which states that vehicle of this year, make and model may be affected with airbag issues. Since this could be of a major safety concern, please check and advise on how to go about this.

Air bags deployed.
I was driving about 67 on the open highway and was struck from behind by another vehicle. I lost control of my car and careened into a guard rail. I went unconscious and when I woke I was badly injured. All the air bags in car had deployed except for the driver's airbag. As a consequence, I sustained severe damages to my ribs and neck. I am lucky to be alive.

I took my vehicle to repair for 2 recalls on 2/22/21, the next day 2/23/21 they called me telling me that I have to pay $ 550. 00 for the repair. According to downtown Audi tech the ecu of my vehicle is defective because they cannot communicate with the vehicle's computer, before taking the vehicle to repair the recalls it was in good condition since I changed the oil and connected my scanner to reset the maintenance message on the vehicle dashboard. This is absurd that they want to scam their customers. Now they want to give me the vehicle without repairing the recalls and with lights on on the dashboard of my vehicle, this is not ethical or professional.

My 6 week old Audi A6 was totaled when I was driving 20 mph! I looked down to check my odometer, and within that time, no warning signals , brakes, etc. Alerted me! this car had all the bells and whistles! that morning I was on a tree lined drive to the tennis courts! no alerts! hit a tree and all air bags deployed! tremendous impact for 20 mph! I was all banged up, car totaled! I am still in disbelief. . . Thought I had the world's safest car. Has anyone else had a problem???.

Audi of America sent me a flyer (attached) offering $100 in Audi goods and services as an incentive to complete the replacement of a takata airbag recall. Since may 2nd, now almost 5 months later, Audi has still failed to provide the offered incentive despite me contacting them and their promise it would be resolved. As this recall is under NHTSA jurisdiction I thought you would have interest in their behavior in regards to this serious matter.

I have been scheduling appointments to rectify an open airbag recall through two different Audi dealers. None of the dealers both in oxnard, CA and rancho mirage, CA have followed through. I originally scheduled appointment for 3/11/2019 for the oxnard, CA location, and the latest couple were for last and this month through the Audi in rancho mirage, CA. I am concerned for my safety of those of my family, as the recall points out that a metal mesh would deploy along with the airbag causing potential death. At this point, I would appreciate if Audi of America was to purchase my vehicle back.
Takata airbag replacement not available for months now. . . . . Safety recall 74d5- pods NHTSA: 18v370. . . . I keep calling Audi to fix problem, to no avail.
Audi periodically sends out a provocative safety warning to schedule your repair immediately stating that (my) safety and satisfaction are their top priorities. When I call a dealer, I'm told that I already have the (temporary and only) fix (as takata went bankrupt). Please encourage corp Audi to get their story strait. The only fact I know for certain is that neither I or anyone one I know will ever buy another Audi.
Takata recall I have contacted the Audi dealer and Audi USA several times to get a repair scheduled without any success. This has now been going on for more than 2 years. Every time I get the same story. We have not received any parts, one time they told me the repair had just been revoked and that they were waiting new information. I feel very unsafe with the situation.
Takata recall. While stationary, & still in park, with an adult in the front passenger seat, the airbag monitoring light comes on to alert me that the passenger seat airbag is "off". Safety recall notice recd. July 2018. I have not been able to use the front passenger seat since then due to safety reasons. Audi USA still tells me today, 4 months later, that they have no solution for this issue, & no expected date to fix this problem.
2008 Audi A6 quattro. Consumer writes in regard to dealership failing to replace faulty components in a timely manner; airbag safety recall no. 69r7.
Vehicle has pods recall. Called Audi USA rep today at contact us (800-253-2834) instructed no fix in yet and to keep driving, that they were not replacing nor substituting vehicle until fix. I do not feel passenger endangerment is appropriate with recall on pods.
I am writing with respect to recall report 18v370, possible failure of front passenger seat pods sensing system. Audi notified me of this defect in July 2018 and still has not produced a solution for the recall. Because of the unpredictability as to when or whether the pods sensing system might fail (including immediately before impact), I can't allow anyone to sit in the affected seat. I believe Audi is being delinquent in its obligation to remedy this issue. My dealer informed me that there would be no solution until at least 2019. I believe this is causing consumer harm and that they should be compelled to remedy the situation immediately. They should be precluded from producing any new vehicles with the corrected part until they completely repair every affected existing vehicle.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. An unknown dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part was not available and there was no timeframe for when the part would be available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The VIN was not provided.
Takata recall I have contacted Audi twice, they have told me they had to order the part and once they receive the part they would call me to set an appointment to repair the airbag. I have been waiting about 6 months (maybe longer). I have not heard back from them. After waiting a few months I decided to also fill out the form on the Audi website regarding the takata recall on may 15, 2018 and still have not received a response.

Takata recall - my Audi dealership still does not have the parts to repair this defect. It's been five months. This is unacceptable.
I was involved in a passenger side impact accident where the passenger side curtain did not deploy. The impacting vehicle was traveling above 35mph when it struck. There were no skid marks nor any attempt to slow the vehicle before impact. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision. All passengers in both vehicles (1 driver/ 1 passenger) were transported to the hospital for injuries. The vehicle is currently located at iaai in baltimore. . Read more...

My car has a recall. I've called Audi no timeline told me 3-6 months till can fix. I am also not allowed to sell my car because Audi can't sell the cars. Essentially I'm stuck with an unsafe car until Audi decides they want to fix.

Takata recall the airbag off light goes on and off at times on this vehicle while someone sitting on passenger seat. Audi does not have an eta for replacement parts and not willing to provide a loaner vehicle. I am afraid for the safety of my family at this point and think Audi should take back this lease or provide us with a new vehicle that is safe to drive until it has been repaired.
