36 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2009 BMW 750

Failure Date: 01/23/2018

The issue began as I was driving north on the express way and the car stopped while going 50mph. It was raining that day and stated I had a drive train malfunction I thought my daughter and I were going to die. Since then I have had the car towed over 6 times and even what I thought was repaired after a $3400 bill from a certified mechanic. I was told it would cost 15k to repair. I currently still owe 15k on this car still. This is regarding a recall that BMW wants to charge me a $600 diagnostic fee for. This is before doing any work. However the campaign claims it is free. The recall bulletin went out in 2015 for cars 2009-2015. I was never notified of the of this recall I found out my self. My car has been towed over 4 times. One shop had it for 2 months and I was finally told that it needs the n63 customer care package. I decided to have it towed to reeves BMW. After the young lady at the reservation desk confirmed that the n63 was a courtesy. The service manager then tells me that they need to run an hour diagnostic which I agreed to for $179. Now I get a call that they need to run a $600 diagnostic. I have never heard of being charged for a diagnostic on a recall. When I looked up information on this, there have been many class action lawsuits on this issue. I am frustrated as I have already spent thousands of dollars on this vehicle and they will not honor the recall bulletin. On top of this, I was told I'd hear back on Monday, January 22nd. I never heard back. I explained to the service advisor that I travel for work and sometimes I am out of pocket. A storage fee. I have reached out to BMW north America and they told me to take it in to reeves. The car doesn't have over 80k miles on it and it has been giving me issues since it was purchased with only 29k miles. The car will die while in motion at any given moment.

BMW 2011 has only 88,000 miles and both high pressure fuel pumps need to be replaced at a cost of $1400. The car was in motion and said powertrain malfunction, the car slows down on the road which can cause an accident, starts jerking and spitting white smoke. This is a know problem under sib130215 which states only production dates between Jan 2011 and Dec 2011. My production date was oct 2010. The same problem exists with many of the n63 engine cars. Please take a look at this problem as it seems to be a defect in the engineering of the vehicleand not necessarily the parts. This causes a serious problem when driving on the highway. Also, I had to get all my coils and spark plugs changed as well which was not covered in my warranty. This is also a known problem for these cars. The customer pays too much for these cars to have a totally defective vehicle.

At the same time the car will take off then do a jerky stop and go again. I've almost been rear ended many of times. If sitting somewhere for longer then 2-3 minutes the car is surrounded by this smoke. Its a known issue with BMW. To me this is a safety issue along with environmental and health issue.

51 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 03/07/2014

The car transmission will not engage. If you try to put the car in reverse or forward gear nothing happens. The gear goes to neutral and does not let parking gear or any other gear angage. If gear stays in drive mod and when you are wondering what to do gear suddenly engages itself and car shoots itself if brake pedal was not pressed. I contacted the dealer who notified that they could not assess the problem for a week because of busy schedule. The car is in non dealer shop currently.

Failure Date: 04/19/2013

I was driving a BMW 750li 2010 on the freeway 70mph. Without warning, the engine stopped and the entire electrical system went off. I steered the car quickly to the shoulder. I only had enough momentum to pull my car to the side of the road. All systems were non responsive . I was unable to place the car in neutral for the tow truck. I was unable to call for assistance via the vehicles call system. I would have to assume that all the systems active safety equipment were useless since I had no power.

53 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2010 BMW 750

Failure Date: 02/01/2013

While driving on the parking lot the vehicle suddenly jerking around and engine stopped. When tried to run the engine it was shaking tremendously and engine was not running. So I towed it to the dealer next morning for repair. After repair was done which took a week I drove it for about 40 minutes and then when I applied the brake it was shaking alot again every time I was applying brake. I for somehow avoiding all stop sign by driving carefully, took the car home and took it to the dealer next morning at which time it was shaking tremendously or sometime moving forward fast(jerking move) when I applied brake or step on gas pedal.

54 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 09/05/2012

2 separate issues 1st, the vehicle when in park cannot switch to drive or reverse, it will only switch to neutral. Happen on countless occasions. Brought the vehicle to russell BMW who told me I have to pay to replace the transmission. Recall 93562 is now posted on BMW website detailing the same issue. Spoke to a rep who dismissed my vehicle complaint because the VIN # does not fall under the luxury package therefore not included in the recall. 2nd issue. . The vehicle brakes when applied does not stop. Twice it's happen when I tried to slow or stop resulting in scaring me half to death and near accidents. I also address the recall 87903 with the rep who once again told me the VIN is not covered in the recall even though the year and model is included as part of the recall the question I pose is why is the VIN determining the qualification of the need to have BMW responsibly fix the 1st year model of their trial and error vehicles. I paid way too much to be told that because I did not have the comfort package my vehicle is not included in their recall? is it going to take an accident for BMW to be fix the necessary problems?.

55 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 06/22/2012

. While driving I came to a intersection I depressed the brake pedal but the brakes did not respond. I continually applied pressure to the brake pedal until the brakes responded. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing where the mechanic replaced the front brakes and rotors. The mechanic found contamination in the brake booster and notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 10v446000 (service brakes, hydraulic:power assist:vacuum) the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer changed the valves & then told me I had to pay for diagnostic cause the breaks weren't working which I did paid $149 plus tax. After the diagnostic the technician stated that the brake booster would have to be replaced. Per the recall, the brake booster could become contaminated over time due to the recalled failure. The manufacture advised me that the repairs would not be covered.

56 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 04/10/2012

Took my car in to be serviced and was informed of this leak in the vacuum pump and steering switch. Consequently, I seen there was a recall for 2006 Bmws with a NHTSA campaign id number of 10v446000 with a recall date of 2012-10-01 for the vacuum pump. 57 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 01/26/2006

When I first bought the car I had problems with the air conditioner, since then my car has been in the shop almost monthly for problems with the engine and the transmission and steering. BMW writes on the yellow sheet that they have you sign with what you tell them but when you go back the invoice that you are given is different that what you signed for. I recently learned that when I noticed that the invoice does not have the information that was written when I was in front of the service advisor. Which means that when you are asking for copies of you repair order the information is different than your original complaint.
