1 Transmission Noise problem of the 2001 BMW M3

Failure Date: 10/26/2004

My M3 cic makes a loud grinding/clatter type noise when disengaging the 6-speed manual clutch in both 1st and reverse. This happens when the car is moving at about 1-2 mph. BMW tech's say this is normal operation, however, I can't duplicate the same problem on a new M3 w/6 speed transmission.

2 Transmission Noise problem of the 2002 BMW M3

Failure Date: 11/01/2001

While driving and changing gears could hear a grinding noise. Had vehicle at dealership for a third transmission. Problem with transmission has happened twice before, and replaced twice.
