Got. Into a. Accident on 6 /9/2017 I was traveling 35 to37 mls. Per hour a dark blue van tried to go before me coming the opposite way coming towards me she turn in fount of me I hit her on passage side of van it was a major accident no air bag deployed. We were on perkins st of akron ohio. 44304 330 351 9477.

Takata recall. Car's air bags deployed when car was started. Car was in park. It was not even going to be driven only started to put down the windows. As soon as the key was turned both airbags deployed causing the dash to pop out of place and crack the windshield.

The contact owns a 1995 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated that while in traffic, the passenger air bag inadvertently deployed without warning. As a result, the passenger sustained legs injuries that require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

My 'air-bag' light, for the past year, stays on constantly. Reading other messages on line, other owners have the same problem. Why isn't there a recall on this?.

Top of dash (pad) is raising up off top of dash?.

The engine keeps stalling and shutting off in traffic after lurching forward. Defective engine burned part of engine hood, and severed abs brake lines burned off by heat, gm manufacturer defects.

Driving north on avon rd, plainfield in, both air bags deployed for no reason. It blew the drivers hands off the wheel going 45 miles per hour. Did not crash. The passenger has bruises on leg. It happened early evening, still light outside, good weather. No warning what so ever.

We bought the car December 29,2015, the car had 102,0215, and drove it to the doctor on our way back, the would make a "clunking" sound from trans-axles, and we notice that the dash board came up and it has hardware screws across the dash as if to hold it down.

The horn will sound without pressing the horn button(s) when the car is in motion or unoccupied. This occurs when the weather is cold. I have researched this online and it is apparently an issue for many owners. Part of the air bag contracts during the winter months pressing on part of the horn button. The only way to shut it off is to pull the horn fuse. I am concerned this may lead to an electrical fire if the horn sounds for too long or an air bag malfunction. Also, the vehicle has to be driven without the ability to use the horn.

Airbag pushing against horn button causing horn to sound at various times. Car purchased used from Buick dealer, their airbag recall does not go as far back as 1997!.

Entered vehicle and noticed dashboard buckling on drivers side and passenger side. Afraid to start vehicle because the passenger air bag may deploy.

My front dashboard has been gradually coming unattached near the windshield. It has gotten so bad that it is hindering my view of the road. It is also a problem for the airbag system. . This is truly a safety hazard and I cannot believe Buick has refused to acknowledge this defect which is affecting so many of their customers. I own two Buick Lesabres and it happened to both of them.

Dash is separating causing it to pull apart at passenger airbag and glove compartment. Worried air bag will deploy and harm someone or not work at all. Can't open glove compartment anymore.

Dashboard pad separated and buckled up blocking view. The separation is increasing and growing towards the passenger airbag location.

The dash board is seperating at the seams all the way to the air bags. It may lead to possible air bag deployement on passenger side. Please fix this could lead to a very serious accident I communte on a daily basis with my two son 6 and 10. Please do a recall on this vehicle someone could be serious injured please help!.

At a little over 40,000 miles, I notice a hump in the dash cover in front of the steering wheel. The separation and lifting has now stretched to near center dash. If it continues, I'm afraid it may possibly effect air bag operation or passenger safety.

The contact owns a 2002 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated that the driver front air bag erroneously deployed. The vehicle was taken to both an independent mechanic and the dealer but the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 113,179.

I was driving home from work at 45 miles per hour when my Buicks air bag deployed for no good reason and caused me to rear end a fellow employee at a light. I was dumbfounded by the accident and was wondering what happened because I recalled no red light or seeing brake lights. I am so happy that my fellow employee are not detrimentally injured by this. The bag apparently shocked me and the dashboard blinded me so I had no way to react. . I sure hope that this problem is address to the fullest extent. I thankful that I was not driving on the interstate at the time. I am also expecting Buick to replace my car at the same value atleast.

The padded dash peeled up away from the dash frame in fron of steering wheel. It is peeling across from left to right. I am concerened about air bag deploying without warning. G. M. Says this part is discontiuned and you can not find this part anywhere. There should be a recall on this padded dashbrfore some one gets hurt.

Dashboard cover started lifting and pulling out from under windshield cowling about June 2012 and is traveling across to the passenger side where there is an airbag. I am now concerned that the lifting and creasing in front of the driver is a safety distraction and that if it continues to the passenger airbag that airbag may get set off unexpectedly, another safety hazard. It is definitely a manufacturer's defect and there are hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints of this on the internet. Is there, or will there be, a recall to fix this problem? thank you.

Dashboard top is separating and buckling in area between steering wheel and windshield. It started slowly when I first purchased the car and has progressively gotten worse with time. While researching the problem, I found this to be a common issue. I'm worried that as the dashboard separation gets worse, it will affect the passenger air bag and/or vehicle electronics in the dashboard area leading to an accident.

Top of dash board (mat,pad) is bowing up into the field of driving vision and is separating from the front part of the dashboard. The separation is creeping in the direction of the passenger airbag and there is concern that both air bags may deploy. Tl- the contact owns a 1999 Buick Lesabre. The contact stated that when they started the vehicle the air bags exploded. The contact received head and neck injuries as result of the failure. The vehicle was inspected by an adjuster for the manufacturer and it was determined that the failure was caused because the floor boards of the vehicle got wet and over time that caused the wiring for the air bags to become corrided. The wiring for the air bags were move from under the floor boards to the doors in 2000. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage and current mileages were 100,000. Rl.

The dash pad on my 2001 Lesabre, which my elderly mother previously owned and maintained well, has buckled and pulled up from the dash board right above the steering wheel. It has pulled out of the defrost panel on the driver's side and curls up and is becoming an obstruction to my view. I am unable to reattach it and worried that as it continues to pull out to the passenger's side, it will possibly activate the airbag. I have researched and found this to be a problem for multiple years of the Lesabre model and gm has not addressed it. I've never seen this happen with other older car models and understand that it has been a problem for the Lesabre for some in the early years of ownership.

The dash cover has separated from the front near the windshield. Noticed everyone on car lots near this year also have the same problem. This is obviously a flaw in the product, please help. I've been told that if it continues across to right side the air bag will deploy.

The back of the front dashboard has been peeling up nearly since I bought it. It is peeled away all across the front where it connects near the window. I found some information that said it can cause a hazard if it peels to the passenger side because it can cause the airbags to deploy. It's an expensive fix. It also does take some visibility away.

Dashboard on this car is separating near steering wheel. Concerned that this could eventually impair visibility and could affect the functioning of the air bags. Hope we don't need to wait till there are injuries or fatalities before gm decides to recall this problem and make the necessary repairs on these cars. Owned 1997 century that had no problems. Very disappointed as rest of the car is still in great shape. Currently has under 50k miles on the vehicle.

Dashboard is buckled all the way across. Keeps getting worse and I'm afraid the airbag on the passenger side will deploy causing me to have an accident. The contact owns a 2004 Buick Lesabre. Pressure was applied to the brake pedal and the driver pressed on the center of the steering column to activate the horn. The horn sounded and the air bag service light began illuminating on the dashboard. The vehicle was pulled over and shut off for a few moments. Upon restart the light was no longer illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure and current mileages were 115,000.

The vinyl dash pad in front of the driver started to shrink toward the steering wheel and raise upward and is now up about 1 -1/2 inches and is progressing toward the passengers side I am concerned about the possibility that when the passengers dash pad area rises upward will this cause the passenger air bag to deploy?.

Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6) accident 05/02/10 on illinois route 83 and washing to street in grayslake IL. The incident involved a 2004 Buick Lesabre and a 1987 Dodge pickup. The impact of the accident was on the front right side of the Buick and totaled the vehicle. The VIN of the vehicle was [xxx] . The accident resulted in the passenger of the Buick and the driver of the pickup being transported to the lake forest hospital on illinois rt 120 in grayslake for checkup. Our concern is that with force of the impact the airbags in the vehicle did not deploy and in our estimation they should have. The female passenger of the Buick continues to complain of pain nearly 10 days after the collision. We are not aware of a defect other than the bags failed to deploy and the force of the collision was substantial. The main impact of the collision appears to have been the front right passenger wheel. Our daughter had a similar collision with a Ford taurus wagon in the 1990's wherein she was broadsided on the rear passenger door deployed the airbags. Although injuries are minimal if the center of the impact was on the passenger door, the injuries would have been horrific. Our concern is that there may be a defect in the airbag deployment system.
