I've had for the last few years had issues with my 2013 Buick Regal turning off while driving causing a few accidents that has nearly cause me my life. The car has had multiple electrical issues I've tried getting fixed and I've dealt with damage to my vehicle due to this. Car has turned off on me while in motion. I've replaced the battery and I've spent several 1,000s of dollars trying to get it replaced.

The hid lighting burned through the plastic case allowing the strategically placed ballast on the bottom to fill with water and the light bulb failed to ignite. A major safety issue while driving.

The contact owns a 2011 Buick Regal. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions the headlights became inoperable. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the wiring in the bumper was hot at the base. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the engine was diagnosed. Right hid headlamp assembly contains moisture and prematurely wears out ballast. Even after replacing ballast and removing moisture it has slowly started to reappear on the inside of the headlamp assembly.

Prior to this event the radio and interior and exterior light would flicker and the radio would turn off completely. The battery was the original battery so we replaced it. But it wasn't completely shot at that point. During the same time of this happening the battery in the key fob went bad also. So I thought that may have had something to do with it. Had to disconnect the battery completely to reset the computer because there was any power to the car at all. Waited a few minutes hooked it back up and it allowed us to jump the car off. . The radio and lights have on a few occasions did the same as before but never the issue of starting. So now it did the same thing as before so once it was jumped again I took it to my local autozone and had the battery and alternator checked and got an all good report. In addition this time the abs and the stailitrak and traction control light cane on and would go out until the computer was reset by disconnecting the battery. I've read a couple of forums and the seems to be more of the same issue with other owners. Some even stated their vehicle even shutoff in motion. As I sit filling this form out the radio and the light in the glove box continue to come on and off.

When driving the vehicle it stops out of nowhere and cuts back on. There is a burning/melting smell coming from the back of the vehicle. Once the car is off sometimes the battery is drained. The driver side head light keeps getting moisture inside and causes the bulb to go out.

I own a 2011 Buick Regal with the vehicle option "tt6" hid headlamps. Both headlamps are currently inoperative. What I have discovered is that the front headlamp assemblies have condensation inside of them. This condensation in turn has caused not only the hid bulbs to fail but also has created corrosion on the connectors which attach to the ballast module inside each lamp. This has rendered each headlamp completely useless because the connectors inside of the them cannot be removed as it is a sealed unit. The ballast and the bulb can be replaced but the wiring/terminals cannot be. Additionally, even if those components could be changed and the lights miraculously came back to life, they would fail again in short order due to the condensation issue. Simply buying a new headlamp assembly is the obvious fix but each unit costs < $1,250 + tax and installation, which by the way, involves removal of the entire front fascia. . . Another $300. Therefore having to spend around $3,000 to get ones headlamps to function is the only recourse owners of these vehicles. I feel that this is a very dangerous situation because the lamps can just blink off without any notification while driving with the only fix being obscenely expensive.

Both head lights continuously fill up with moisture and cause the head lights to not function which becomes very dangerous at night when I do not expect it to happen. This seems to be a common problem with these vehicle as many people complain on auto forums about it. The lights don't work while vehicle is stationary or moving.

The contact owns a 2012 Buick Regal. While driving, the interior lighting turned on and off without warning. Additionally, the radio spontaneously turned on and off. The vehicle was taken to dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 58,000.

Suddenly after leaving costco gas station and driving "no" display of millage. Speed gauges and all critical information went blank/black on drivers dash board with critical lights display showing trouble with vehicle by displaying yellow; and red exclamations; skid tire and no gauge readings for engine temkp; or nothing!. On star gave negative results for emergency help. Dealer stated car was reprogramed last week. Previous radio and blue tooth trouble reported to gm. They seem to ignore me. Troubled radio and navigation purposively fixed last week.

We have lost our instrument lights many times while traveling and at many different speeds, accompanied by the smell of hot electrical wiring, I am 88yrs. Of age and my wife 83yrs. Of age and when this happens to her or myself when traveling it is a huge safety concern, we are afraid it my cause the loss of our lives as a result. We have contacted gm about this. Their representative did not express concern, and more or less stated if we did not feel comfortable driving we should park it and not drive it. We live on fixed income we have nothing else to drive and cannot get gm to fix our vehicle. The car is always in motion when this happens and happens at all different speeds, highways, and city streets. With no way to judge your speed. Gm safety recall #30710- wiring harness. Gms answer is incomplete: remedy not yet available. Please help!!!!!!! this problem happens with regularity and we are concerned the car will catch fire someday.

In addition, the driver side low beam headlamp did not function at all. The dealer diagnosed that the headlamp assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Tl- the contact owns a 1998 Buick Regal. The contact stated that the engine warning light continued to randomly flash, once the vehicle was started there was a progressing misfiring of the engine. The vehicle was overheating as the failure progressed and the vehicle has not been diagnosed by a dealer yet. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 09v116000 (engine and engine cooling) and exterior lighting ( 99v356000) and the contact was uncertain if the failure was related to the recalls, had not been notified of the recalls and needed to determine if a dealer may be able to provide the remedy for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

The driver side light bulb & connector melted. Bulb can not be replaced because housing is damaged. Contacted the dealer and I was told this is not covered by any recalls. I would be responsible for any parts. This is definitely a factory defect and car is not safe to drive. The only way to fix this per the dealer is to replace complete headlamp assembly.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the bulbs, connectors, and wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Console wont turn on in the heat. It disconnects. Parking light says not in park when parked and wont turn off. Lights burn out very fast. Has happened since I bought this vehicle , new! it is very sluggish when taking off from stop.

For the past few days while driving my security light will come on all of a sudden and the car will lose power and then instantly come back on. I had my 3 children in the car with me so we all were in panic mode when this happened. It has now made me very nervous to drive because I do not want to get into an accident. Friends have told me it was because the chip in my key is worn out and to have a new key made. I contacted a local locksmith and he says since this is happening after the car is in motion then it is not the key. There is something wrong with the ignition switch. I contacted my local Buick dealership and was told there are no recalls on this and it cost $95 just for them to look at it and see how much to fix it.

The headlamps blow out and upon examining the the bulb housing the wiring and the casing that the replacement bulbs is suppose to be inserted in is burned off. The wiring and the casing is gone. The recall is 12v484 is not addressing the concern that I have of the headlamps clearly failing to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standards by burning out and not giving any indicators on the information panel that the headlamps are blown. The casing is so hot when attempting to replace the bulb I burned my hand and my vehicle still does not have headlamps. This should not be something that I should have to pay to repair. This should be covered at gm expense.

Odometer meter cannot be read at any time because light went out. Gm cars have instrument lighting cluster problems, according to the service writer at a Buick dealer. This costs $676. 75 to repair. Our son's 2001 chevy impala had the dashboard instrument panel fail and he could not read his speedometer. This was replaced for $614. 00 and it failed again a year later.

Lights went out while driving in the dark,lightlightknob was in a couple days later the same thing happened , the light knob was pulled out , both times it was about 15 miles from home.
