2 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2008 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 07/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Cadillac Cts. While the vehicle was stationary, the electrical system failed and the control panel became inoperative. In addition, the power steering failed and the steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn left or right. Kuni Chevrolet Cadillac (2449 fulton avenue, sacramento, California 95825, (916) 538-7217) diagnosed that the power steering pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall for the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.

3 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2008 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 08/08/2016

The contact owns a 2008 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while pulling out of a parking space, the steering wheel seized as the vehicle accelerated but loosened as the vehicle decelerated. The service power steering warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was driven at a very low speeds to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the power steering actuator failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the steering gear however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

4 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2005 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 01/07/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the power steering failed. The contact indicated that the steering wheel continued to veered to the right and the contact had extreme difficulty in maneuvering the steering wheel. The vehicle was jerking violently causing the suspension to become unstable. The contact mentioned that the vehicle swayed back and forth causing the suspension to be unstable. The contact stated that the vehicle was merged to the side of the road more than once due to the failure that was progressing. The contact was able to drive the vehicle and park it at his residence the second time the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 5 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2011 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 12/13/2014

Driving down road and slowed down to veer into left turn lane and power steering failed. Steering became very stiff and very difficult to steer. Managed to get car into left lane and came to a stop. Lucky it was not my wife driving as she would of had great difficulty steering car. Put car in park and wiggled steering wheel back and fourth. Steering took several rotations of steering wheel but came back after 10 seconds or so. Decided to proceeded home. Did not drive again until day I took to dealer. Dealer says the seal is leaking and rack needs to be replaced at cost of almost $2000. 00 car just went out of warranty about 4 months ago. Had major oil leak in may that required engine to be pulled. That was covered by warranty but dealer and corp refusing to fix this issue. Car has been maintained in excellent condition,garaged and driven respectfully. No accident history.

6 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2003 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 08/16/2009

The contact owns a 2003 Cadillac Cts. The contact was driving between 65 and 73 mph when the steering wheel turned sharply to the left. The weather was not a factor. The steering wheel became difficult to turn for approximately 15 seconds. He was able to drive onto the emergency lane. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing for the second time, as a result of power steering failure. The dealer could not duplicate the failure on two occasions. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. The VIN was not available. The approximate current mileage was 87,000.

7 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2004 Cadillac CTS

Failure Date: 06/08/2004

While making a right or left hand turn the power steering wheel fails to return to its original center position. The problem is in fact continuous. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer, in which the dealer was able to duplicate the problem. The dealer acknowledge a problem exist, however, the dealer stated the problem can't be resolved because the problem is inherit with these vehicles. The manufacture fails to acknowledge the problem.
