Steering Wheel Vibrate Problems of Cadillac CTS

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while driving, and while depressing the brake pedal to come to a complete stop, the brake failed, the contact had to engage the emergency brake to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. In addition, the contact stated that the steering wheel would shake at low and high speeds. The brake and abs warning lights intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the lower control arms failed, the ball joint was crack and both needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was later taken to central houston Cadillac dealer, located at 2520 main st, houston, TX 77002, (832) 431-5697, but was not diagnosed or repaired due to the diagnostic and repaired fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opens a case number: 84781603741. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000. Aw.

The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while driving in reverse and turning the steering wheel, the contact heard a knocking sound as the steering wheel began to shake abnormally. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis where he was informed that there was no remedy available for the failure. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 30 and the current mileage was 16,000.

2009 Cts di has had constant problems with vibration in front end felt thru steering wheel vibration as well. Occurs anywhere from 60-75 mph mostly highway driving. Dealer has tried changing tires, replacing suspension parts and still the dealer states cannot find the culprit. Dealer is acting very responsible as always. I have concerns that a safety issue is looming and hope this gets resolved soon. Problem has existed for some time and dealer has had the car for resolution of same 4 times. Dealer agrees a problem exists but to dat no cure. ( 8-15-2010).

Purchased 2008 Cts upon driving car home I noticed a vibration. Took back to dealer next day. Had to wait 3 weeks to get service on vehicle and found out at that time there is a service bulletin on this car and the dealer is not to try to fix car. Went to gm and they agreed to change tires but this did not fix the problem, the vibration continued. Trying to come to some sort of agreement with gm and after 9 months, nothing. Took car back to dealer for tire rotation and requested "road force balance" and the problem got worse. The vibration starts at 40mph and the steering wheel is shaking. The problem is either with the wheels or the tires.
