Transmission Not Go Into Gear Problems of Cadillac CTS

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that when the vehicle gear shift is released into another gear the vehicle jerks without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer lynch Cadillac of auburn154 w creek pkwy, auburn, al 36830 where it was diagnosed that the rear axle pinion seal failed and needed to be replaced. Leak were seen by dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The contact mentioned NHTSA campaign number: 07v589000 power train as a possible soultion to the failure however the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that 0 recall was under the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 98,090. Ck.

While driving my service traction control light came on I pulled over turn it off but not my car will not shift into gear and it has a loud roaring sound when driving.

Was driving down the road at 55 mph and all of a sudden we lost drive power. The rpm's revved up to 4 before I could pull over on a busy road jumping two lanes of traffic with my three kids in the car. It was storming the car was running but would not engages in gear. When we got out there was transmission fluid poring and spraying out of the car we quickly knew to turn it off and call for help. When we got the car home we saw that the transmission line came off the radiator. I have seen sense then that this problem is very common and most peoples transmission are shot after this happens. Witch is a $5000 fix. There was no indicators that the part was bad or that the coolant pan was loose in the bottom of the radiator which striped out the nut on the line leavening me and my three kids stranded on the side of the road. Cadillac knew this was a problem so they put out a after market part with a quick disconnect not the screw in part like my car had. I found that out after I called around to have my car fixed.

2007 Cadillac Cts-43,000 miles-driving at 50 mph when car downshifted to second gear and would not change back to drive until I shifted to neutral and back to drive. Had this happened at 70 mph or had it shifted to low gear it could have caused a major accident. (did not press . On accelerator to cause the car to shift into another gear).

Manual transmission will not shift into gear has caused many near accidents. Gm claims that this is normal and refuses to fix this. Many people report this issue and gm has not yet addressed this on the Cadillac Cts-v. It is a very dangerous condition when I cannot shift or get into gear.
