My car failed to start. On checking battery, located under rear passenger seat, I discovered the battery was badly corroded. The battery sits directly on the floor pan beneath passenger seat. On removing the battery I discovered the corrosion had eaten through the floor resulting in a hole one inch in diameter. I had the floor pan repaired and had rinocoat sprayed on to prevent future problems. I feel gm should put a plastic tray under the battery to prevent this problem.
