At speeds of 50 mph and above, my vehicle does the death wobble. Any time I hit a tiny crack in the road, going higher speeds. The person that sold he this car knew it did not pass emissions in September 2024 and I bought it in November 2024. A dealership checked car fax for me after I bought it. And this person rolled back the odometer also. I found this out after I purchased it.

On [xxx], my wife and I were stopped in traffic in baton rouge, louisiana at approximately 7:35pm. Another vehicle failed to stop due to being distracted on his phone and rear ended my 2022 Cadillac Escalade. My wife and I were both injured. None of our airbags deployed and the on-star system never came on and never detected the crash. By the airbags never deploying, this caused my wife to hit her head on the dashboard as well as on the speakers on the passenger seat. It happened in front of a fire station so they heard the crash and immediately ran out the fire station to help us. The vehicle just arrived at the collision center on 10/17/2024 and they will begin inspection for repairs. None of my emergency warning lamps or any other lights or messages came on in the vehicle. The vehicle just appeared normal like nothing happened. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

This vehicle was sold to me with severe frame damage, which was not reported on the carfax, and was not reported at the dealership. If you turn the steering wheel to the right, you will hear a scraping noise under the right front tire, as the suspension is off because of the frame damage caused from an accident with the previous owner. I returned the car for a refund, however the car is being sold again at a different dealership and there is no reports of any frame damage.

The power step / running boards do not operate as intended, especially on the driver's side. They are not deploying or retracting as they should, possibly leading to personal injury, ie. Spain ankles, injury to the knees, legs and or backs of individuals, who assume the power step has deployed before entering or exiting the vehicle. I am seeking a recall be established concerning this matter, and a class action suit against general motors be developed immediately. I have had my vehicle inspected, at a dealership, as many owners have, with nothing being found. Only to leave in disgust, and have to live with this daily issue. Something needs to be done about this problem, these are some very expensive vehicles, and owners like myself should not have to deal with this persist issue.
The power retractable running boards do not always deploy. This has caused me to almost fall to the ground a few times. I have taken it to the dealer at least 5 times and each time they say nothings wrong or they can't find anything even when it happens to them. This form will not let me fill in miles. Right now there are 32k on my vehicle. This happens when I am parked.
On 2/21/23, at 1245, I hit the rear bumper of my 2021 Cadillac Escalade when I backed up after I had scraped the driver side of my door panel as I drive thru a gated parking area. I started driving forward, turned left onto the back row of parking area. Suddenly the car accelerated very fast like from 0-60 mph. I quickly tried to step on the brake but the car kept accelerating. I tried to steer the steering wheel away from a parked car that it was headed directly for. The steering wheel locked & wouldn’t turn. The car proceeded to hit a Hyundai. It knocked the Hyundai out of its way & continued to surge forward where it hit another parked Dodge ram double cab truck. That’s when the Cadillac stopped. The air bag partially deployed just slightly past the steering wheel. I had absolutely no control of the car.

I have a 2017 Cadillac Escalade that is all black. This vehicle is now sitting a 140,000 miles now. But before the 140,000 miles I was experiencing horrible peeling, and discoloration of the black paint on the hood, and roof of my vehicle. This particular issue should not be happening in such a highly luxury vehicle. I have driven Lexus, Nissan, and other vehicles, that are way older, im still possession of those vehicle, and still have not experienced such issues, with the paint or coating. This paint peeling and discoloration began well before the 140,000 miles. I want to say at about 90,000 miles I observed issues with the paint located on the top of my hood, and roof. I have also done research on the class action law suit for such issues as well. So I have seen I’m not the only person experiencing the paint discoloration or peeling problem.

I remote started my vehicle to take my car into the dealership for service and when I went out to get into my vehicle the running board extended and I stepped on to running board, running board immediately started to retract into vehicle almost trapping my foot. I took vehicle to dealership and they were unable to recreate the issue. On 10/7/2020 when I went to pickup my car the lot technician brought the vehicle around to the front for me to get it and when he opened the door the running boards folded out and then almost immediately started to retract it could have trapped his foot between the running board and car too. The dealership has the vehicle and is trying to determine the problem. I have video evidence of the problem.

The black shiny plastic pieces behind the rear doors have come loose on both sides. The metal clips have come loose from the plastic. This makes the plastic pieces flap in the wind. This should not be happening at 25000 miles. I have now glued the pieces back together but I should not have to do this on an $80,000 truck. Also, the plastic under the windshield has waves in the plastic and does not sit flat against the window. This should not be happening on a 4 year old truck that is garage kept.

This is for safety recall in oct 2019- regarding the brakes- it has already been made aware to dot. This is in regards to getting a refund for my almost 4k out of pocket expense. The brakes went out completely in sept 2019 ( in 5-7 mph I could not stop in traffic even with them all the way pushed to the floor. And caused a front end collision ad the brakes been working normally this would have never happened. I was wondering what I needed to do ( or if I can ) to get reimbursed for the damages that I incurred on fixing my vehicle. ( around 4,000). Or if I need to notify Cadillac of this issue. Also the vehicle went in for repairs after the recall was issued ( we were never told or advised by the dealer that there was a recall open) and have no idea why the dealer would not even tell us, or advise us of such.
I purchased a 2015 Cadillac Escalade on 9/6/2019 from mcgovern Hyundai in brockton, massachusetts. The vehicle was being sold and on display and was transported from the mcgovern Buick GMC dealership in mansfield, massachusetts. The vehicle identification number or VIN number is 1gys4rkj9fr679076. Since I bought the vehicle, I have had to return it to the dealership a total of 3 times within 7 days, 8 times within 30 days and 10 times within 45 days. The most recent was on 11/4/2019 of which the dealership ignored my continuous appeals to fix the engine noise(s) and asked that I contact mastria in raynham massachusetts and deal with them because the car was there for repair and have them deal with my concerns. My vehicle has been out of service for repairs for a total of 14 days. Initially, when I requested mc govern Hyundai that it be repaired, I was told by the service department that the part and/or parts were in back order and that the uaw was on strike. I have had to drive from fall river to brockton for all of these issues. Keeping in mind that mcgovern dealership in mansfield is a Buick GMC dealer, I had initially been in contact with the salesperson, tom, and on 9/10/2019, 9/11/2019 and 9/12/2019, I drove to the Hyundai dealership after work for him to witness the issues including the issue with the engine getting progressively worse. I notified the Hyundai service department about the issues that I was having and that the applique on the driver's passenger side was loose or broken. She stated that the uaw was on strike and that she would take care of it. To date applique has not been fixed. I have contacted them numerous times and they tell me to contact mastria GMC in raynham MA.

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Cadillac Escalade. While attempting to unlock the vehicle with the key fob, it would not unlock. The contact had to manually unlock the vehicle. Also, the vehicle did not start when the push start button was depressed. The vehicle was jumpstarted, but it had very little power. The vehicle was towed to amesbury Chevrolet (103 macy street, amesbury, MA 01913) where it was diagnosed that water was entering the inside of the vehicle from the factory installed antenna on the roof. The water traveled through the interior of the dashboard and shorted the fuse box, which drained the battery. The contact was advised to bring the vehicle back because the tail lights were filled with water and also there was water in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired for the fuse box failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 2,600.

Gm has manufactured defects/design failures into numerous parts in my 2008 Cadillac Escalade ext. The door handles all broke off apparently because they used weak plastic parts. The engine is stalling and won't start (possibly due to cam shaft sensor and deffective cam shaft or fuel control module they did a recall on and never fixed on my car). . . Apparently the oil sensor goes 1st and then the cam shaft and oil pressure issues come next. . . But this is caused by a defective cam shaft in the 1st place. . . Very dangerous and bound to leave you stranded or cause an accident! as for steering, the power rack & pinion is designed to start leaking requiring a new $450+ part plus labor to put in as there is no way to stop the power steering leakage. . . Finally, the head lights go out and gm could not have made it any harder to replace them nor more expensive- requiring front bumper removal and usually a result of their defective waterproofing of the light and ballast! (I put 1/19 below but these problems have developed over the last year of so right around the 100,000 mile marker).

Collision alert on while in park. They also flash faintly while driving with nothing in front. All sensors clear of debris. This is a recurrent issue for which I was told it was cue related and that replacing the cue would fix. (recurrent issue) service person was able to see this problem as it happened issues with my escalate which include the collision alert displaying ( flickering ) ongoing. Hard to take pictures as it happens while driving transmission bangs low speed (recurrent issues) vehicle locked itself with the keys inside. My wife had to call me to get the spare set and unlock the truck. Theft attempted warning light that was triggered while I was driving and collision lights were being triggered as well I have additional doc I could send bu this system isn't allowing it. Thank you fernando.
The airbag is not functional, the airbag light stays on. The side mirror is not folding with the remote folding bottom. This is helpful when parking in a parking lot where there are many cars. The body color is colluding.

Buffeting sound and ear pressure like the rear windows are down, but occurs all the time at freeway speed with all windows up. Booming sound at slow speed. Can feel strange ear pressure like the stereo subwoofer is playing over most small road imperfections. The whole body "booms" exhaust droaning sound and ear pressure. When SUV switches into v4 mode exhaust creates a droaning back pressure sound which also creates pressure in occupants ears riding in vehicle. Note* gm bought back our 2015 yukon and 2015 Escalade for these exact problems. The 2016 is no better. All the same sound and ear pressure issues. Have contacted gm and started a claim. At this point they have done nothing to fix, correct, or replace this vehicle. At this point I have purchased over $220. 000. 00 in just over one year from gm, three new SUV's they all make these noises. During this time, have been in countless 2015 loaner suburban's, tahoe's, yukon's and Escalade's everyone of this vehicles has this noise issue to some degree. Some better, some worse.
Acceleration for no reason. I was backing out of a parking spot and I put the car in reverse. I was nearing the edge of the curb on my right front wheel so I stepped on the brake, stopped the car, and shifted into drive so I could move the vehicle forward to avoid hitting the curb while backing out . Once I shifted into drive, the car went to full acceleration for no reason and hit a pole at full acceleration approximately 5 feet away.

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated the drivers front, rear, and passenger rear exterior door handles became detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated the handles needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 80,795.
While trying to enter the vehicle the door handle came off in our hands not allowing us to enter the vehicle on a busy street. I contacted gm who has refused to replace it stating that my vehicle is out of warranty. However, given the overwhelming number of owners with this same issue, this is a design flaw and owners shouldn't have to pay for this $300 repair.
I was just going on a strat street at 25mpr . All at once all the rear airbags deployed and on star called to see if I was ok . I have tried to work it out with gm and I was told a sensor found a problem but wouldn't tell me what . My children have to ride in this SUV. Please help if you look on the internet gm is having airbag problems with Cadillac esc. . . .
Right rear ext door handle broke. Due to this I was unable to get my child out of the seat he was in. This defect could prevent emergency exit from a vehicle. Per Cadillac forums this has been a well known defect in the part since mid 2007 and effect vehicles at all mileages.
Passenger side front exterior door handle broke loose from the body of the vehicle. I contacted the dealer for repairs and was quoted $300+ for the repair. I looked online and was surprised that this is an issue for numerous owners. So I contacted Cadillac, and was initially told it was under warranty, and to take it in to the dealer for repairs at no cost to me. After taking off work, was told by the dealer that this was not true, when actuality the interior handles are the actual handles under warranty for the chrome pealing. At this point the chrome on the interior handles were not a concern of mine. After going back and forth with gm/Cadillac and my local dealer for a couple of months, I bought a replacement handle and did the repair myself. About a year later the passenger side rear exterior door handle separated from the body, I contact Cadillac to make a complaint, I do get a call back, the rep ask me what do I want them to do, I say " it would be great if they knowing this is a ongoing issue that they pay for the repairs", I was told " this is not a safety issue and doesn't fit the category of having a recall issued", I stated well if I was in an accident, and someone needed to open the door from the outside, is this not a safety issue? I was basically told no. Again they ask what do you want us to do? I said well, this is my second handle that has broken, at least pay some portion of it, I was told that is left up to the dealer to decide. When my first handle broke, I tried to negotiate with the dealer to bring the cost down, with no success. So I let the rep. , know just annotate this as a complaint. I again went on the internet and purchased a handle and did the repair myself. The handles can be found for less than $50 (with a warranty) and take about 30 min. To install. My interior handle were never replaced, go figure, no longer under warranty.
