My wife pulled out of a parking lot and was driving down the road at approximately 30mph when the brakes stopped working entirely. There was no response when she pushed on the brake pedal. The car displayed 3 warnings on the driver display: brake system failure 62 mph top speed service stabilitrak service trailer brake system my wife was able to coast into the next parking lot and go uphill to bring the car to a stop. If this had happened on the highway, this brake failure could have killed my wife and children because the brakes entirely stopped working. This is a critical safety issue. Reporting it to NHTSA now to work with Cadillac to get this fixed before someone dies driving a 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

Brakes completely failed. I pulled into train parking spot and the cars would not stop. I had to keep pumping the brakes and eventually it just stopped. I tried it gain and the brakes were hard and couldn't push them down. I am so lucky that I was not on a highway going fast with my kids in the car. Adillac said I needed the hydro boost replaced.

Antilock brakes do not function properly. Vehicle losses control at low rates of speed when braking on wet/slick surfaces. Recently has spun 360 degrees on a left hand turn in wet weather, traffic conditions were favorable and no damage occurred . Continual problems in cold weather, brakes will fail when slowing for stop signs/red lights ,no control of vehicle and it slides until in loses momentum or brakes kick back in. Again have been fortunate and other vehicles steer clear.

: the contact stated while backing out of the garage, at 3 mph, the brakes and steering failed. The ignition was turned off and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it was determined the fluid in the power unit for the brakes and power steering was contaminated because of a broken seal, causing the failure. The power unit was replaced, and the other units connected to this were drained and refilled. Updated 3/28/2006 -.
