At low speeds the brake pedal becomes very slugs if pressed quickly for sudden stop, wile the truck continues to travel for a short distance.
My car was the subject of a brake recall n192268490, I have had it to the dealer in flemington gm twice, the last time approximately 2 weeks ago. My car was kept for nearly 10 days and I still have a problem with the brakes, specifically hard braking and prolonged braking distance. Today at 1045 am I called customer service at Cadillac gm and they were completely unhelpful telling me to bring it back to the dealer again. I need this fixed in a competent fashion.
While all electronic safety features were engaged, vehicle failed to slow down properly, even with last minute hard breaking by driver, vehicle crashed and rear ended another vehicle. Dashcam footage available upon request.

This is for safety recall in oct 2019- regarding the brakes- it has already been made aware to dot. This is in regards to getting a refund for my almost 4k out of pocket expense. The brakes went out completely in sept 2019 ( in 5-7 mph I could not stop in traffic even with them all the way pushed to the floor. And caused a front end collision ad the brakes been working normally this would have never happened. I was wondering what I needed to do ( or if I can ) to get reimbursed for the damages that I incurred on fixing my vehicle. ( around 4,000). Or if I need to notify Cadillac of this issue. Also the vehicle went in for repairs after the recall was issued ( we were never told or advised by the dealer that there was a recall open) and have no idea why the dealer would not even tell us, or advise us of such.

The first time I pushed my brake pedal and the brakes did not employ got a few seconds. I pulled over and called lafontaine Cadillac service department to tow the car. The car dash displayed a power assist problem. They picked up the car and replaced the vacuum pump which fixed the problem. About 6 months to a year later, the same problem happened again. The brakes were pushed and the car brakes did not deploy for a few seconds. It was like the car was skidding on ice when no ice existed on the roads. It was warm outside. The car again displayed brake assist issue. I took the car back to lafontainr Cadillac, and they replaced the vacuum pump again. A few months later, the brakes were pushed again in a driveway when the car was going maybe 3 mph or less. The brakes did not deploy for a second or so and the car appeared to be sliding. This happened also in the summer. The car again is at lafobtaine Cadillac, highland michigan. My car is a 2017 Cadillac Escalade esv.
Sometimes while braking it needs much more force, meaning I have to push the brake all the way down. Also it feels like they stick at times. I saw there was a recall on the 2015-2018 for this issue but it may go back further.

My primary concern when shopping for this vehicle was safety, so instead of purchasing the comparable GMC denali, I chose the Cadillac with the premium luxury trim level. The Cadillac website advertised, and the autonation Cadillac west palm beach salesman assured me, that the premium luxury package included low speed forward automatic braking. this safety feature was important to me and was not available on the GMC denali. After purchasing the vehicle, there were unrelated issues which prompted me to bring the car in for service several times. Through that process, I learned that my vehicle was not equipped with low speed automatic braking even though the rest of the features of the premium luxury trim level appear to be included. The service technician informed me during my last visit that my vehicle was not in fact equipped with low speed automatic braking. I write you this letter both as a frustrated consumer, but also as a concerned citizen. I can only wonder how many other customers are driving around thinking their vehicle is equipped with low speed automatic braking. I escalated my concern to general motors in July 2019, but they denied my request to investigate this issue on July 17, 2019. I also contacted the dealership (autonation) but have been unsuccessful in resolving this as they have been largely unresponsive. General motors and Cadillac continue their deceptive advertising tactics to this day. If you to visit their website, you will find the inconsistency between the different trim levels of this vehicle. The terminology is deceptive and confusing to the average consumer. There is a safety feature called low speed forward automatic braking and one called forward/reverse automatic braking. not only is the difference between these 2 features confusing to a lay person, but my salesman didn't know there was a difference.
This is third time I have noticed a solid rock hard brake pedal feel and the vehicle did not appear to slow when I was trying to apply the brakes.
It has happened several times , while driving in a parking lot at 10 mph while making a turn the engine shut off, lost steering and brakes and the stabilitrak warning light came on. . . The engine restarted in about 5 seconds. . . I contacted Cadillac main office lawanda 855-880-1400 ex 5911833 and sent a email to mary barra ceo. . . They gave me a case # 9-5065905042 they are aware of the problem and recalled over one million vehicle but my VIN number has not been added yet. . They will not fix it till gm adds my VIN to the national recall #18289. . . I was told off the record that money trumps consumer safety. . . . They are making us pickup the car with the knowledge by us driving the car could kill someone if we loose steering and brakes while driving. . .
When coming to a stop and braking (at lights and stop signs) vehicle sometimes feels like it slips then brakes kick in. Been happening for a long time now. Its very comparable to the recall on the 2015-2017 models that were affected. Also another common issue I have is the power from the cigarette lighters going out plenty of times. * another note it isn't just one set date as it is asking below**.

I pulled into the garage and pushed the button to turn the engine off. The vehicle was still in drive. All doors locked when they were closed. I could not open the door with the button on the door handle even though the fob was on me. I went to the back to open the rear hatch. I could not. The vehicle stated to roll backwards - there is no incline in the garage - it is flat. I used the fob to unlock the door and I was able to get into the car and put it in park. I have video from my outdoor camera.

Truck stalls out when pulling out. No matter how much you push on the gas pedal. Getting service stability trak control messages, when turning it off it seems it does not stall out as bad. Gas gauge is sticking, never know how much gas you truly have everyday!!.

My 2015 Cadillac Escalade has been in the shop for 130+ days in the first calendar year for defective brakes, transmission, suspension, electrical, and hvac. I have contacted gm and they don't want to repurchase the vehicle. The vehicle is constantly in the shop for problems and it is not a vehicle that should be operated on public roadways. The transmission has been replaced once before due to defects in design and build quality. The transmission how causes the car to take off in 4th gear rather than in 1st gear which means the car feels as if there is no power to propel the vehicle. The transmission slips and feels as if it is broken. I have taken it to the dealer at least 5 times and gm now does not want to replace the transmission even though the dealer has verified the concern and documented it. I feel that gm is not doing enough to ensure safe vehicles are on the road. This transmission issue is going to cause an accident one day. I have already put gm on notice all the way up to the executive level and they don't want to do anything about it. I feel that NHTSA should investigate the issues that plague 2015 full size gm SUV owners. There are a lot of us out there according to my research.

A vehicle turned across the road in front of me. Stood on the brakes and felt the brakes grab hard. I initially thought I could miss the truck when first applied brakes, then they felt like they released. No pulsing like you would feel when anti-lock has engaged. Just felt like they released. Also, the airbags did not deploy. Vehicle is in the repair shop now and they told me the airbags are turned off. I've owned the vehicle since it was new and know of any reason why they would be off, nor did I know you could turn them off.

Slowing down for a red light, had my foot on the brake pedal. As the truck slowed down the abs system took over, causing the brake pedal to "pulsate". I didnt think the truck would stop so I swerved to the right in order to miss the vehicle in front of me that had already stopped. Luckily my truck stopped, but it was rather scary. It has happened to my wife and daughter also. There was a recall issued for Chevrolet and GMC vehicles in the " severe corrosion" areas, ohio being one of the states, which is where I live. The recall # is 05068a. I am curious why Cadillac vehicles were not included in this recall even though the same issue is happening and is getting more and more frequent. Any light that can me shed on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
This Escalade should be included in your action number pe05020. The vehicle activated abs on slow braking as described in the above action number. This occurred multiple times until I figured out what was happening. GMC garage discovered trouble code and repaired wheel speed censors as per protocol and problem has resolved. Gm takes no responsibility for this issue. This is a known issue and all vehicles with the same identical parts should be covered.
On the indicated date my wife and I were driving from dallas, TX to ann arbor, mi. My wife was driving and we were on I-44 approx. 20 miles south of rolla, mo. At highway speed we experienced sudden and repeated loss of electrical power and related power systems. This was evidenced by door locks repeatedly clicking on and off, navigation system failure, air conditioning failure, stabilitrack failure and lack of power steering. My wife was able to control the vehicle and after several calls to onstar and the use of our cell phones we were able to locate a dealer in rolla. We ¿limped into the dealer after experiencing several more adverse failure incidents. The dealer checked out the vehicle and could not identify the cause through running his diagnostics. He concluded that the battery was defective and replaced it allowing us to continue our trip. Unfortunately this exact same issue reoccurred on June 21, 2014 while driving at highway speeds in the dallas, TX area and again, twice, driving at approx. 40 mph in frisco, TX on June 23, 2014. The local dealer serviced the vehicle on those dates and replaced the negative battery cable. During the past several weeks I have had numerous conversations with gm customer care seeking assurances that this was a known problem and that the latest ¿fix was going to permanently correct this safety and reliability problem. Unfortunately, I have not been satisfied that this problem has been permanently fixed. I am concerned that we will have a re-occurrence of this problem in the future.

I was traveling at a low rate of speed in a residential area and my foot went to the floor as I applied the brakes. I kept pumping them and downshifted to come to a stop. Upon inspection, noticed brake fluid coming from passenger rear (above exhaust pipe). Seems that line is corroded. I've never had something like this happen before. I take care of my vehicles and for the price I paid, this is uncalled for.
The emergency/parking brake release mechanism has broken today. This is the second time this mechanism has failed. It was replaced with a gm oem purchased from the dealer on 8-13-2011. This vehicle has 68932 miles on it and we are the original owners. There is obviously a design failure in this part.
Suspension and anti lock brakes the problem start in 2012 and they could not fix it for over 4 years, I tried two Cadillac dealer and the last dealer contact the engineering , after all gm engineering told me it unfixable.
