The sunroof drain tubes become plugged and if you can actually find someone to fix the error, its horribly expensive. Water enters the vehicle, causing mold on the back seat floors. This issue has also shorted out my trunk release consistent with other individuals reports and when manually released, via the inside hidden panel, it sparks, which is dangerous and shouldnt happen. After a heavy rain, entering the vehicle sounds like a waterfall all around you from inside. I have to constantly keep moisture absorbers inside of my vehicle in a futile attempt to solve the issue.

My cue screen is cracked and unresponsive. I went to the dealership and they said it was out of warranty and they would not repair item. From looking online the cue system is defective and has affected many Cadillac cars. I am very disappointed with gm. I had the top model and it should not have cracked. They have known about the problem for years and chose to ignore it. I am leery of buying another Cadillac since they do not care about their customers.

The headlights are very, very dim when driving the vehicle at night. They are getting progressively worse. Before I took ownership of the vehicle, it was owned by my elderly parents, (82 and 88), both recently deceased. In the years prior to their deaths, they drove much less and hardly ever at night. It wasn't until I took ownership that my wife and I began to notice just how dim the lights were when driving at night. I took the car, which then had 52k miles on it back to bentley Cadillac in huntsville, al, where it had been purchased to have it's latest recall performed. I also paid $1350 to have the climate package controls replaced, which hadn't worked properly for years. I was preparing the vehicle to sell as I was left with too many vehicles and too few drivers. A potential buyer test drove it and part of the drive was at night. They came back saying what we had noticed previously, that the headlights were too dim for safe nighttime driving. The buyer, who had previously expressed very strong interest did not follow through with the purchase as she stated that she felt the vehicle was unsafe to drive at night, which, of course, would seriously limit the vehicles usefulness to her, or, to anyone else for that matter, including myself. I looked at the internet to try and ascertain whether there were others having similar problems with vehicles like mine. Indeed, there were many describing exactly the problems I had been experiencing. The seals on these SUV's were and are continuing to break down allowing moisture into and the headlights, making them defective and unsafe to drive. While I found no active recalls, Cadillac had previously acknowledged the problem by reimbursing some owners for repairs they themselves had paid for up-front around the year 2020. I contacted the Cadillac and the dealership. The best they did was to offer between around $400 and $600 toward a repair that was going to cost between $1600 and $2k, or more by the time is was completed.
Immediately upon picking my 2011 Cadillac Srx up from don thornton Cadillac for recall on the rear toe link, I had more problems with my car than when I dropped it off. I immediately called and let them know my car would not accelerate,I still had something wrong with my battery, I had warning lights on my display that were safety issues, such as service airbag, seatbelt, service stabilitrak, service rear axle, service traction control, service park assist, service suspension,"battery saver mode",service brakesthey told me it would cost me $50 to have it towed, whatever the cost for them to diagnose, the cost to fix whatever was wrong. The general manager told me that the problems with my car when I brought it in:(issues related to the rear toe link recall)ie:service stabilitrak, service traction control, service rear axle, swaying in the back. Something was wrong with my battery and powersteering. I took it to another gm certified dealer, and"the ground was burnt and melted the rear fuse box,the ground to the fuse box was fried. " the "pre-invoice" I received when picking my car up from don thornton Cadillac said "performed wire repair to ground wire". I paid $1,178. 24 for faulty repairs. After finding out that the work they performed, was not fixed at all, the right rear wheel hub was loose, the melted wires going from the back up to the front wires, I am now without a car. Completely. Don thornton Cadillac is not taking responsibility what so ever for the problems, safety issues, that I had when I picked up my car,and certainly did not have when I dropped it off. Please help!I do not know what to do. I am now without a car. It was by the grace of god, that I actually wasn't able to drive my car. I could have had my 3 grandchildren,or my 2 elderly aunts(81&76)that I am responsible to take them to their doctors appointments,or son in the car if something tragic could have happened by the right rear wheel hub coming off while driving and they were in the car!.

Foggy headlights cannot see… reported by multiple Srx owners.
My lift gate has stopped working. I cannot open the back of my car in any way! I am handicapped and the power lift gate is very important to me because I have to store my walker in the car when I drive. Now since I can’t open the back of the car it is very difficult to get anywhere for me. When I looked up the issue, it seems Cadillac has a problem with this model (srx) from 2010-2016. The issue develops because rain runs down the sun roof straight into the place that the lift gate parts are in- and the parts corrode. Once the lift gate power system fails there is no way to manually open the back of the car. There is no manual release, and no place to insert a key. This problem is well documented online with attempted class action suits that failed to “gain traction” per various attorneys. I have been told by the repair center that it will cost about $5000 to fix because of the difficulty of reaching the parts that need replacing. They say that the repair will take about 10 hours of service to replace the corroded pieces. I am so disappointed in Cadillac. They knew of the design flaw since 2010 but did not address it until 2017. There is no reason that unsuspecting owners should get stuck with a $5000 repair due to a design flaw! I purchased this car 2 yrs ago, and only found it now because we get so little rain in California, and I have a garage. We had an abnormally large amount of rain in December and it failed right after the largest rainfall we have had in years.

Class action lawsuit was file for headlights that go dim after life of the vehicle. I never received letter in regards to lawsuit and dealer will not help to replace headlights. This should be a recall headlights are very important dealer and manufacture are aware of this headlight issue because of the class action lawsuit they settled. Please make this a recall headlights go dim no visiability at night!!!! manufacture recommends to replace out of pocket expense to consumer knowing it is a manufacture defect on their part. No accident but many close calls.
After purchasing our 2016 Cadillac Srx we began to notice the head lites were becoming dimmer over time and now to a point that we are unable to drive at nite and need to put high beams on if subjected to nite driving . This creates a blinding hazard for oncoming vehicles. After several attempts of replacing bulbs to improve condition of lites I began to investigate and found that there is a recall for other year models of Cadillac Srx but 2016 is not included. This issue is widespread and undoubtedly will cause accidents and possibly death to motorist. Cadilac is aware of this issue and has yet to recall these vehicles to repair obvious and known issues.
Vehicle fire & mold. My 2013 Cadillac Srx had water leaking in/draining incorrectly from the sunroof, which in return pooled water in the front and rear of my vehicle. This water caused my trunk to completely stop operating (water pooled at trunk latch/rusted), as well as water to saturate the electrical components near the front of my car and a fire to itnite while I was driving the vehicle! fire truck responded, pooled water found, mold also found because of previously unknown pooled water, and insurance totaled vehicle. So scary! so disapointed! this leaking water issue has been reported on many forums for the same Cadillac make and model and it threatened my life. The sun roof draining tubes must be recalled. I’m now out of a vehicle because of it and just grateful I was able to exit my vehicle as it filled with smoke.

Car has stalled out 5 times since Nov 12,2021 to Nov 22, 2021 and now the car has broken down in the middle of the road and will not start back up. We were at a red light when it just turned off and does not work now. It was smoking and smelled horrible like burning plastic. I had to remove my kids from the car because they could not breath anymore.
Low beam headlight are so dim, that it creates a safety hazard driving at night. The reflector material on the inside of the light bulb housing assembly has deteriorated to the point that the light bulbs light cannot project out the front of the light assembly. This makes driving at night very dangerous. We have not experienced an incident or accident concerning this problem, but I will not have anyone in my family drive this vehicle at night. This is a safety hazard that gm is not addressing.
Headlamps fully engaged but dimming with time. Unable to see road clearly at night. Dealership(s) confirmed issue and reproduced issue. Confirmed by manufacturers. No prior warnings. Class action lawsuit won on behalf of owners but not all owners were informed of settlement and procedures to address and correct issue. Class action settlement period lapse in 2020 with no other recourse to help owner of vehicle now. Headlamp issue persists to this day.

2011cadillac Srx owner. Car has know water issue that collected inside car at the time of rain ruining the tailgate module. Since that time I have had all of the warning lights as indicated in the recall of August 2021. Stabilitrak service, slippery roads, shut off engine now etc. I have been waiting for the recall part to be produced since August and have been without a vehicle. I contacted arrowhead Cadillac a few weeks ago and learned part not in production. It is going on 60 days of me having a vehicle that I can not sell or trade or use. I contacted the main Cadillac customer service and was informed that I could rent a car on my own and submit request for payment months from now- or I could take the car in to have the "bolt tightened" (recall bolt that I have symptoms listed in recall to not drive) . I informed that both of these solutions are a no go for me- especially the one suggesting I have the bolt tightened- at the risk of me and my family's lives. The csr recommended that I have the Srx towed to local dealership. I said I would and it can sit there- not having it towed back and forth. I contacted the arrowhead dealership in arizona and agreed to have the car towed for evaluation, and would be stored at the location. With no time frame of when I will have a working vehicle. I later decided to look at cars on the lot since I was planning on purchasing a car next year. I contacted arrowhead sales and explained- they said would consider giving me a trade in of $ 3-4,000 and no vehicle deal although. The car can be should at $8,000 and from the law that I can determine if the dealership is unable to provide a repair in a timely manner that they would need to provide replacement at full value. I am a person that owns a car that is inoperable in a timely manner. I feel that Cadillac suggesting I have the bad part tightened- and then not compensating me for the re cost or cost of the vehicle is a complaint worth reporting.

Airbags light turned on, my seatbelts just stopped working and are tight, my radio screen just went blank. I can’t drive the vehicle because of no proper working seatbelts. If I was to wreck there is nothing to prevent me the driving or my front passenger from being ejected. Ive taken my vehicle to my dealership that confirmed the airbag sensor says they have been suddenly deployed the dealer also confirmed my vehicle has never been in a accident and ive only had the vehicle since April 19 2021 the problems occured July 5 2021 and they advised me they have heard of airbags popping out of nowhere. It has not been inspected by police or the manufacturer. The seatbelts locked the radio went blank then my airbag light appeared suddenly. I asked the dealership im financing the vehicle from if they could provide me a safe vehicle until they resolve they issue because I do have toddlers and I was told no it wasnt a option I also asked if they could just exchange the vehicle for another around the same value and was also told no. I was most concerned that they allowed me to drive the vehicle off the lot after explaining to me the dangers that could occur while im on the road.
Left front & rear right turn signal failure. Unable to signal other drivers of intent to turn.
