I have been trying to enjoy this vehicle from the time it became part of my life. The first 6 months, I was unable to close the sunroof, because of that my passenger seat cracked since its been exposed to the sun for 5 years, the driver's side window could not roll down which we fixed; I never owned a vehicle where I could not access my trunk. The first 6 months of having this vehicle the lifgate became inoperable. The lift gate does not work. The sensors of the vehicle are useless, the car radioi does not work the cue sticks, which can be distracting and can cause an accident so I use the youtube on my phone for entertainment. The sensors led to the transmission deteriorating to the point of the transmission fluid burning faster and deteriorating the components of the transmission. This is going to cost me 6000. 00 these are known manufacture defects for the Srx 2014. Please help.

Two incidents of the same failure, although a few years apart. Vehicle placed in "park" (foot on the brake, which is necessary in order to shift into p); when brake pedal released, vehicle suddenly revs and lurches forward. First time, in garage, and so minor damage except to items in garage; second time 3/7/2025, totaled this vehicle plus major damage to another vehicle.

Vehicle lurches from 0-20mph since purchase of vehicle from greenbelt caddillac. Vehicle only serviced there until no longer in business. Shifter linkage cable issue assumed. Parking brake disengages prior to switch depress. In automatic mode, when switched to manual, shifter does not highlight that it is engaged in shifter box. Dashboard shows change in transmission function. Camshaft position sensor bank 1 code returned around 100-120k+ miles after 2 flat tires and suspension serviced by caliber collision. Onstar taking control of vehicle suspected of causing timing belt to skip timing supported by Chevrolet ourisman of bowie. Paid $800-1000 to ourisman for service and diagnostic. Ourisman suggested engine needed to be opened to fully inspect or replaced for $6-8000. A piece of the sensor was claimed to have broken off and fallen into lower engine manifold. Vehicle would rev when stopped and putter to halt. Vehicle would start and stick in second gear up to 40mph until stopping and refusing to start. Engine replacement evaluation reconfirmed by foreign auto parts of annapolis, MD after explanation. Chevrolet of silver spring attempted to buy car for $100 after suspect inspection. Declined. 3 new sensors were changed manually though did not turn off the check engine light, still returning bank 1 camshaft sensor. Eventually vehicle towed to mz auto repair 9500 allentown rd, fort washington. Engine swapped, battery changed and check engine light cleared. Vehicle ran for 2000-3000 miles until check engine light returned with same code bank 1 camshaft position sensor. Vehicle presumed tampered with during lifetime of use however original lurch during engagement of powertrain implicates feigned manufacturer defect or original Cadillac of greenbelt.

On Monday, August 5, 2024 when I started the vehicle and began driving to work I noticed upon startup the engine was clearly noticeably louder. It also made a strange bogging downshift type noise when idling. Upon driving, the noise seemed to go in and out but once reaching approximately 40mph the noise got noticeably loud again and the vehicle seemed as though it was having gear shifting issues. I had the transmission fluid flushed and filled costing me $300. This seemed to help but very little. I did research to find recalls on the vehicle and found “special coverage 18029, reference # n172115200”, which is an inoperative purge solenoid. This is a defective part installed by manufacturer. I was unsure if this was the issue with the vehicle however doing research it was very possible. I contacted gm more than once and was stonewalled. All they said was to contact my local Cadillac dealership to have the issue diagnosed and repaired at my cost. They offered no resolution although it’s a defectively installed part by gm at the factory. Engine light came on for the first time Thursday, 01/09/‘25. I used the diagnostic computer tool from autozone and the printed results showed it was in fact the engine variable valve timing solenoid and crankshaft position - camshaft position correlation bank 1 sensor a “code p0016”. The vehicle has been dangerous to drive nearly stalling out or unable to shift smoothly nearly causing an accident several times, as well as loud and giving off dangerous noxious fumes. Gms refusal to fix the vehicle due to their negligence in factory installing a defective and faulty part, as well as the rear passenger side tire pressure sensor monitor (tpsm) shows the unconcern for their customers safety and satisfaction with their product and underscores that seemingly their only concern is their own monetary profits and refusal to amend and resolve dangerous mechanical issues caused by their own doing.

Hello, I wanted to let you all know that I have a 2010 Cadillac Srx, to which in the past these type of vehicles had had a transmissions issues, thus recalled. . . Well the vehicle I own, is doing and having the same transmission problem/issues. . . And yet it is not under the recall list. . . The Cadillac dealership, has my car and is wanting to open up the transmission and inspect it for almost 2 thousand dollars( I like on a dissability montly income) . . I had this same car diagnosed at 2 different auto shops , whom provided me with the folllowing 2 error codes p076 and p0700, which are the transmision control solenoid and the transmission control module. . . But back at the Cadillac service dealership , here in amarillo TX. . . They want almos $6000 for a new transmission replacement or half of that for rebuilding the current one. . . When I strongly believe that my car is part of the same recall , being the same model and same similiar transmission issues.

Service rear axle message is displayed on the driver information center. The code indicates awd has been turned off which can put my safety and or safety of others at risk. Service bulletin (pi0703b) was issued for numerous 2010 Cadillac Srx, unfortunately the recall wasn't issued for my vehicle (VIN). The service bulletin was for dtc c0407 with symptom code 64, the exact same code that was found with my vehicle. I have attached the diagnostic sheet from certified Cadillac dealership in this case request. I did contact Cadillac customer service, they suggested to contact NHTSA regarding this recall.

2013 Srx recently purchased 11/2021 all recalls performed after trying to accelerate display goes black dials bottom out I hear engine revving up but no acceleration, could have been rear ended, dealer replaced rear diff clutch control module, lr upper control link, both front lower control arms, now I am experiencing a bump hard shift.
I called on August 25 to get my Cadillac serviced at the luxury automall in sioux falls, sd. I had been experiencing toe link issues (service stabilitrak error message and jerking and swaying from the back end). I was bounced around from operators at the dealership before being told I wouldn’t be able to be seen until sept. 14th (20 days later) and that I should stop driving the vehicle. I work over 50 miles away from my office and told the person I spoke to that it wasn’t an option for me to stop driving the vehicle because I need my source of income to support myself. I also informed them that I don’t have any other form of transportation and asked if I could get a loaner vehicle until they could check out my vehicle. I was told they wouldn’t be able to provide me a loaner vehicle until my vehicle was inspected and deemed unsafe to operate. So I continued driving my vehicle. I’ve probably put close to 2000 miles on my vehicle since the phone call with Cadillac. Needless to say my transmission went out Friday at a very low mileage. Cadillac is refusing to help me and I feel like I wouldn’t need an entire new transmission had the Cadillac dealer not made me wait nearly 3 weeks to be seen. My toe link is also busted. Now I’m looking at spending $5500 on a vehicle I can’t even drive due to Cadillacs negligence plus I’m now on the hook for a rental vehicle while I’m still making payments on the Cadillac I cannot even drive. How do you expect people to survive when I’m getting quoted over $1800 for 4 weeks of a rental car while I wait for my vehicle to get fixed - most places cannot get a transmission for 3-4 weeks. I’m being quoted $7000 (which is more than I make in 2 months) because Cadillac blew me off had they checked my vehicle before the transmission went out they may have prevented me from needing a new transmission. They knowingly let me drive an unsafe vehicle with no regards to my safety.
My vehicle has service rear axle and stabilitrak warnings on and an open recall that was supposed to be addressed by August 12th still no remedy. The service bulletin states not to drive the vehicle if those warning lights are on due to the recall. My vehicle drives terribly and so I have listened and waited for remedy. I can't keep going without a vehicle so this needs to be moved along faster.

Vehicle has a recall id. Recall 21v473. Advised by dealer for Cadillac not to drive or operate vehichle, however gm does not have parts to correct recall and as a consumer and only transportation it is a burden for me . I also have a loan on this vehicle that is current in payments and must make future payments on a vehicle that is unsafe to drive. I feel gm. Needs to get this vehicle repaired ASAP. Or purchase back atr the cost of my loan. Very upset and angry there is at this time no resolution by gm and no parts available .
"rear axle service" light remains on after replacement of rear toelinks due to manufacturer recall. Rear differential clutch control module issue. Differential clutch oil leaking into the rear differential through the limited slip differential clutch. Oil pump was not replaced.
Transmission shift cable.
Tl- the contact own a 2012 Cadillac Srx. The contact daughter was driving 65 mph highway while raining the vehicle hydroplain which caused the contact daughter to lose control of the vehicle. And crashed into medium in the road where another vehicle hit the contact daughter vehicle in the rear. The contact stated no front and rear air bags diployed in the vehicle mo mediicial attention at scene of the failure the contact daughter did go to the hospital two days after the failure. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where then the contact insurance had it towed to diagonosed the vehicle as a totaled loss. Now the contact just receieve a recall notification from the vehicle manufacturer in reference to rear suspension toe adjuster link being loose and now the contact feel that was the caused to the failure of the vehicle at the time his daughter was driving. The failure mileage was. 153014 vw.
My Cadillac will go into drive and reverse but when I'm driving down the road it won't shift the rpms stay real high it wont shift rather should I say in my Cadillac.

Driving south on a city street. When the vehicle shut off. Pulled over to the side and restarted the vehicle. Made it another block and the vehicle shut off again. Pulled over again, and this time vehicle wouldn't start. Had to get it towed to my mechanic. Had a diagnosis done because the vehicle was idling rough,cutting off, and poor excelleration. Found out that it was camshaft sensors that were bad. Looked on youtube and found out many people have been experiencing the same problem with the same vehicle and engine. (3. 6) Cadillac refuses to do a recall on a very dangerous problem. They need to recall all of these vehicles with this engine and fix this problem. 2010 thru 2016 Cadillac Srx with the 3. 6 liter v6. This is a very dangerous thing to happen while you driving. Could cause accident and injury. Shame on you Cadillac for not owning up to this design flaw in your vehicles.

I purchased a 2014 Cadillac Srx and began having problems with the transmission 7 months later. I was experiencing hard shift changes constantly while driving, to the point where I almost caused an accident. I took the car to the dealer 5 times for a diagnostic review. Occording to them they did not find anything wrong with the car until I drove it there and physically requested a manager to come out and drive the vehicle with me. Then and only then they admitted something was wrong with the car, they kept it for 2 weeks and claimed they performed a complete transmission overhaul. I took the car home and 5 weeks later I was back at the dealership with the same problem, this time worst than the 1st time. By then my warranty had expired, they did not want to guarantee their repair and they wanted me to pay almost 3,000 dollars for transmission repair they claimed to have done. My other issue is with the cue, it cracked while the car was at the dealership and was told I needed to pay 1,500 dollars to fix. Second time I had an issue with it. This model has so many issues it definitely should be recalled before someone dies on the road from a faulty transmission and cues that can be dangerous because you haver to use your cell phone for navigation.
My stabilizer track/abs light came on but before it did my car was driving about 20 miles even though I had my foot down on the gas. Then it jumps into moving fast. The light goes on and off, so when it's off the car won't move it drags then it jumps but when the stabilizer track/abs light comes back on it doesn't do this. I checked recalls and it says my vehicle doesn't have any but who knows if this has been fixed improperly before. I was driving and cars were beeping then when it jumped I almost hit a car in front of me.
Mostly during decelerations at low speeds, as is the case for us upon entering our neighborhood, we experience hard shifts or a "buck". There are occasions when it will happen when attempting a quick acceleration from a complete stop or low speed in city traffic.

Sometimes taking off in the car it might not shift causing the the car to rev. You can pull over and stop put the car into park then back into drive it will shift properly you just never know! very very dangerous in big intersections and busy cities.
Headlights are dim on low beam with condensation present inside housing. Very dangerous nighttime driving. Must use high beams in order to see to drive which also creates very dangerous driving conditions in the face of oncoming traffic. Have also had rear axle repaired which appears to be a very common problem with Cadillac Srx models.
Light for service rear axle display on front display was no with a weird jerk in the drive of SUV. So I took my 2014 Cadillac Srx with 74000 miles to have it checked out at a Cadillac dealership in NJ and was told the axle oil pump needs to be replaced with service hours of 6 and grand total $1600 for repairs.
On several occasions over the past 3 months the car would "jolt" while accelerating in the 20 to 30 mph range so bad it felt like I was hit from behind. Felt like the transmission got caught between gears. Took the car to the dealer and had to pay over $275 for diagnostics and reprogramming even though car was still under the power train warranty. The dealer did not know if this was the fix. Very disappointed this wasn't covered under the warranty.
