The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the car was KMHWF35H35_. I purchased a 2005 Hyundai Sonata new on 2/18/05 and the dealer, paar Hyundai in bremerton. On August 16, 2007, I had my car maintenance at the dealers location in bremerton. They suggested I purchase new tires. I have 46,000+ miles on the car. I had a local tire dealership, les schwab in poulsbo, put new tires on the car. In doing so, three of the small hubcaps were damaged. Despite being careful in reinstalling the hubcaps, several of the plastic retainers broke off. Les schwab will not pay for the damage, claiming that this often happens with certain Hyundai and Nissan hubcaps. The Hyundai dealer will not pay either and claims they have never had a problem before. This is doubtful. I retained the hubcaps. The plastic tabs that hold the hubcaps are very week, I can easily break them off, and they show signs of wear and tear and fatigue. My concern is that the hubcaps are manufactured using very poor materials and could come loose. Even though fairly small, a hub cap flying off a car at 60-70 miles per hour could easily smash a windshield or knock a cyclist off his/her motor cycle. This wheel cover/hubcaps problem happened on Aug. 21, 2007.

The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is KMHWF25SX4_. After buying new tires for my 2004 Hyundai Sonata, I started experiencing flat tires on my front tires. All flats involved problems with valve stems. It seems that the wheel covers on this car are not meant for some brands of replacement tires. The torque of the front wheel seems to cause the wheel covers to rotate thereby cutting into the valve stems. The dealership I went to would not warrant the problem, but he was aware of seeing many other Sonatas with the same problem. I was not warned when I bought the car that I had to pay close attention to what brand of tires I used as replacements. One of my flats occurred when I was traveling at 60 mph and nearly caused me to lose control of the car. It was Thursday, May 11, 2006 when this wheel cover/hubcaps issue happened.

The vehicle involved was a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Within a year and a half, I had three windshield replacements. Insurance agent said with that many replacements, could be defect. Every time Jeep hit bump, would squeak. Took two dealerships 5 attempts to fix. Paint was peeling on grill, had repainted. Jeep constantly pulls to the right. Have had alignment and tire rotations, still not fixed. Latest, all four aluminum wheels are corroding due to them being manufactured with aluminum and steel. According to the dealership, the rims have been redesigned, but because my mileage is over 36, 000 miles, they are charging to replace them even though a dealer at the same dealership was having the exact same problem and had his replaced at no cost. Field district manager refuses to speak to me, who made the decision for me to pay. Can someone please guide me in the right direction. I need help. Cgray78@aol. Com. This is my 4th Jeep. Here is a little background on this issue. I purchased a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the overland edition. The dealership pushed buying a used certified Jeep vehicle! they mentioned the extended warranty that would take care of any issues that the Jeep had during the last years of my ownership. I went in the dealership looking to purchase a new vehicle but they told me all the added benefits / value from buying from the used Jeep facility!
the warranty:
as mentioned I purchased the warranty sold by Jeep at the local dealership. The service agreement that was sold by the dealership went bankrupt! gary miller Chrysler Jeep isuzu located in erie, PA sold this to me. My 1st issue was when I decided to take the vehicle in because of a vibration while driving. I was made aware that the company was bankrupt when tying to call and find out what information will be needed when I go to the local Jeep dealership in kansas city. Furthermore I mentioned to the Jeep dealership that pushed the contract that I am wiling to purchase the best contract to make sure I do not have an issue with my new vehicle in the future. The constant issues:
I have now taken in my Jeep for 6 visits! I have only included some of the payments (see the additional paperwork) but you can see a trend here. This Jeep had been nothing but a problem since I purchased the vehicle! I am now stuck replacing the steering pump for the 2nd time! I have to pay for the replacement and live without a vehicle. I am out several thousand dollars and still have to take this vehicle (that Jeep pushed on me) to the service shop about every 6 months. I just started driving my vehicle from the last service repair (I am getting very familiar to the local Jeep dealerships) and still the item is not fixed and my Jeep is leaking oil all over our company driveway. This vehicle is a lemon and the company that made the vehicle sold me a bankrupt contract. This issue happened on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005.

Paid $50 to replace the first one. Dealer says it has never heard/seen the problem before. Dealer offered to sell new hubcaps for cost. . . $31. 00. ---planned, engineered obsolesence--- will not buy a Mazda again if they can't keep the hubcaps on the car. The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is JM1BJ2220Y_. 2000 Mazda Protege dx. Since purchase in 3/2000, the car will occasional jolt when accelerating. No mechanic can say why. The trunk is hard to get into. The rear door seals continue to come free (the back seat is rearly used). Hub cap clamps are broken/missing (pointed out to me in yesterdays oil change) now resulting in loss of a hub cap . This morning I noticed both rear door windows where glass meets the door- the to of door is bowed and seal is bowed out as well. The brakes squeak- everytime I have oil changed (every 3000 miles) I complain, they are checked and I am told they are fine. It was Thu., Mar. 4, 2004 when this wheel cover/hubcaps issue occurred.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) of this Mercury Sable is 1MEFM50U72_. I have a 2002 Mercury Sable w/ 40,000 miles on it. The car had to be taken back numerous times the hub caps fell off after the 6th time they replaced with alloy wheels. The right & left sway bar end links have been replaced. The altenator went out and was replaced. The transmission had to completely be overhauled. The powertrain control module replaed, the spark plug wire replaced, replaced processor and key. #4 plug wire shorting out caused coil to go bad and fouled #3 ac coil asy-ign replaced after fixing $3 & #4 showed up on power balance retest, but said road test was ok at this time suggested fel management. It scares me that so much can go wrong on a 2002 auto. I did have extended warranty on the altenator and transmission, but I would have hated to pay the $3028. 00 charge to fix the problem, I wasn't real happy to pay the deductible. The extended warranty got stuck paying even though I had the car in under orignal warranty for the same problem. It was 10/16/03 when this wheel cover/hubcaps issue occurred.

The vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) is 5GZCZ43D64_. 2004 Saturn Vue was purchase 1/24/04. We noticed a very loud noise so we took it into the dealership. They said we needed to have a rear wheel bearing replaced. We have never had this repaired on an auto before. The car has 45169 miles which seems a small amount to need a bearing replaced. The repair cost us $400. In addition, our daytime running lights no longer work. They didn't work once while under warranty. Saturn told us it was a bulb. They aren't working again (now out of warranty) and now we are told it isn't the bulb, but they will not repair under warranty. We also had to have the rotors resurfaced in 11/05. We are not happy with our first experience with a Saturn vehicle. The Saturn employees are great, but the vehicle isn't. I wish I'd never bought the car. We were all set to buy a Saturn relay in the spring, but now are thinking Buick, or maybe our first foreign car. Thanks!. This issue happened on Oct. 14, 2006.

2005 Subaru Outback rear hub recall:
not convinced that the recall that replaces the rear hubs with the improved version is effective. I had both rear hubs replace under the recall at 45,000 miles and one of those went out at 86,000 miles (41,000 miles after replacement). The VIN of the problem Passat is WVWND63B33_. We purchased a new Volkswagen Passat station wagon from livonia Volkswagen autoplex (now thayer automotive livonia, inc. ) in July, 2003. At 18,500 miles, the car developed a rattle in the under carriage and the brakes were squeaky. We took it to the dealer and their service department stated that the car has aftermarket brakes that fit differently from vw brakes, hence the rattle. However, these are the brakes that were on the car when they sold it to us. We have contacted vw of America customer service on three occasions regarding this issue. They contacted the dealership and were told by the service dept. That the brake pads appeared "too new" to have 18,500 miles on them (implying that we have had the brakes replaced). Based on this, vw of America states they will not authorize vw brakes to be put on the car. We have not had the brakes on this car replaced or serviced in any way, and have never had the car serviced anywhere but this dealership. Incidentally, the day after the 10,000 mile service, the windshield fluid reservoir was empty, and the day after the brake inspection a hubcap flew off. This may speak to the skill and integrity of this service department. We filed a complaint with the michigan department of state bureau of regulatory services who state that this matter was not in their jurisdiction because the dealership is no longer licensed by the state, and suggested we contact you. We bought this car in good faith, assuming, of course, that it was made of all vw parts. Apparently it is not. Currently, our new car has squeaky brakes, an increasingly loud rattle in the undercarriage, and a missing hubcap. Vw of America will not help us. The sales manager and owner of the dealership do not return our calls. We would like vw brakes on our vw car, assurance that everything else on the car is, in fact, a vw product, and a hubcap replaced. A family who buys a new car about once every twelve years would appreciate help. It was 05/01/04 when this wheel cover/hubcaps issue occurred.

Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 3VWRE69M23_. The car had a crash. I have owned a Volkswagen Jetta (turbo - 2003) and have had one horrible problem after another. Without fail, I have taken my vehicle in for random mechanical repairs every few months since purchasing the vehicle. I found out the car was manufactured in mexico and that vw was aware of how bad their car's manufactured in mexico were. If that is the case, how can so many car owners with so many mechanical issues continue to sell in this country? I would like to report vw for lackluster performance and for continuing manufacture in an area well known for its below average standards and for continuing to bleed the consumer when it is fully aware of the issue. Vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle is 3G5DB03E73_. I have a 03 Buick Rendezvous. In 4/05 one of the front tire hubs was defective causing a loud noise. Now on 11/10/05 I had to take the Buick in for a variety of reasons. Again I was hearing a noise because both front tire hubs needed to be replaced. Due to the fact that one was replaced in 4/05, it would be covered under the parts warranty therefore, I would only incur the cost of one hub. When I asked the service man. Why tire hubs would be failing on a 2 yr. Old car with only 44,500 miles, he didn't have any explanation except wear and tear. I contacted other local general motor dealers to find out if they had seen similar repairs with this vehicle. I was told yes! there have been a lot of Buick Rendezvous and pontiac aztec's coming in for repair and needing front and rear tire hubs replaced. They are seeing at least one to two vehicles per week needing these same repairs. This source said he was told by his district manager that there was a recurring problem with the tire hubs that general motors was getting from a specific manufacturer and that they were now changing manufacturers. I contacted the service manager at my dealer and asked him to initiate calls to his dist. Mangers. And look into the parts and what manufacturer they were coming from. I didn't want the same manufacturers parts used on my vehicle again. He said he would try to get some answers but couldn't imagine there would be any change in part numbers (which would indicate a change in manufacturer) he called me back, he found out that general motors had a new part number coming out for the tire hubs and that they had changed suppliers. He felt that this confirmed my info. & agreed to the repair at no cost to me. However I am still concerned about the remaining 2 rear tire hubs on my vehicle that still have the old manufacturer hubs on. Not to mention all the other owners of Buick Rendezvous and pontiac aztecs that could be going down the road and have a tire hub break. This problem occurred on 11/10/05.
