The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact stated while driving 50 mph the vehicle stalled and all of the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnostic testing and the contact was informed that the engine locked and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. One year later, the vehicle began to overheat frequently. It was returned to the dealer who confirmed that the head gasket would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 75,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact stated the vehicle overheated as a result of the thermostat casing melting. The dealer stated the casing was melted because it was manufactured from of plastic. There was not a recall for the failure however the dealer advised that the design had recently changed on the casing from plastic to metal. The failure and current mileage was 85,000.
