Battery acid leaks over the 4- wheel drive cable located under battery plate; acid ate through cable, causing the 4- wheel drive to be inoperative. Vehicle taken to dealer, informed consumer of inoperative four -wheel drive. Dealer immediately informed consumer what the problem was, but could not repair it because the part was not in stock. This situation had to be ongoing for dealer to do corrections. Consumer has yet to be contacted by the dealer that the part is in. Believed this matter should be looked into for mfr. Defects. When going up hill, the accelerator pedal left driver's foot and went to the floor. The engine revved and the Blazer took off. The vehicle was towed to a dealership. Dealership stated that the Blazer had a dead battery. .
Battery is leaking acid and is causing corrosion, and eating away at the connectors. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
Vehicle sat for 24hours, and battery willnot start vehicle. Also, brakes have to be replaced after 10 months due to wear.
