Two problems related to starter have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
No major safety problems. However, signficant mechanical problems with very moderate mileage. Mechanical problems include steering linkage, water pump, starter, head gasket.
Faulty starter resulted in vehicle catching fire under hood, replaced starter and the next day the vehicle caught fire again,possible electrical system problem.
