Three problems related to wiring have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Electrical: sitting at stop light, driver's door started smoking and flames was coming from inside the door. Cause of fire was electrical switch on mirror.
Electrical wire stripped causing engine failure.
Relay in engine compartment malfunctioned, resulting in a fire that spread to air conditioning unit, and into passenger's compartment.
