6 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 05/17/2026

Vehicle: 2020 Chevrolet Blazer issue: “shift to park” malfunction description: the vehicle repeatedly displays a “shift to park” warning message even when the gear selector is fully placed in park. Because of this issue, the vehicle does not always shut off properly and may continue running electrical systems after the engine is turned off. Symptoms include: * warning message stating “shift to park” * vehicle not recognizing that it is in park * difficulty shutting vehicle off completely * doors/horn behavior acting abnormally after exiting vehicle * concern about battery drain and vehicle safety the issue occurs intermittently but has become more frequent over time. The shifter often must be moved multiple times before the warning clears. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many gm vehicles and may involve a defective shifter assembly or park switch component. I am concerned this defect could: * cause unexpected battery failure, * prevent the vehicle from shutting down properly, * create a safety risk if the vehicle does not correctly recognize park status.

9 Equipment problem of the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 04/21/2026

Windshield leaking water inside of drivers compartment, headliner & side pillars (causing stained areas) as well as the top of onstar and electrical buttons on the overhead console . Found wet cup holder. Vehicle does not have a sun roof. Gm is aware of this issue from the factory gm plant in ramos arizpe, mexico. This defect is because of lack of not being sealed properly during the assembly process. The windshield has a factory oem rubber seal attached to a new windshield. This rubber seal is not a part that can be purchased separately to fix the problem. By replacing the entire windshield with the new factory rubber seal and the channel that the entire windshield fits into is resealed with urethane should fix the issue. . Trying to reuse the current windshield & rubber seal and using sealer to reinstall it stretches out the rubber seal & will still leak. This leak can get into the electrical controls for safety system overhead controls. Extra care must be taken to remove the windshield as to not damage the roof line in anyway. Vehicle is going back into dealership to fix issue again. Vehicle was resealed with existing windshield and showing signs of leaking on l&r pillars.

10 Equipment problem of the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 04/17/2026

My engine coolant temperature sensor failed. Replaced it and still not fixing the issue. This takes my steering assist away as they are all interlinked? I have seen on forms this is a common issue. This has the potential to blow up my engine, I’m not sure how this is not a recall with so many 2020-2026 Blazer owners having the same issue.

11 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 04/06/2026

Engine temp gauge stops working causing the air to stop working and the cooling fan to rev to highest rpm. Also a warning that the steering assist is reduced. Eng check light comes on with a code p0208. This a known problem with an extended service # (n242484760) but only if your VIN is listed. All vehicles with this problem should be covered. This seem to be a common problem, as my CO-worker is having the same issue. This should be a recall as the steering is affected.

12 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 04/05/2026

The temperature gauge does not work, it stays at cold. The heater does not work unless the car is moving. Ac does not blow cold air at all. I get a message that says “steering assist is reduced. Drive with care”. There are a lot of people online with the same complaints on these vehicles.

13 Equipment problem of the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer

14 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 03/30/2026

The vehicle will not shut off when you shift to park. You are forced to sit in the vehicle for extended periods of time attempting to get the vehicle turned off. Apparently chevy is familiar with eat problem and there are pending class action law suits in ohio. According to the dealership chevy has acknowledged there is a defect but no recall has been issued. We have had this issue for about two months and it is getting worse.

15 Equipment problem of the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 03/23/2026

2025 Chevrolet Blazer ev awd purchased 5/23/25 (under 3,100 miles) the vehicle's telematics control module (tcm) has failed, disabling the built-in navigation system, onstar services, remote start, and my Chevrolet app connectivity. The dealership confirmed the tcm needs replacement and the part is on backorder with no eta. This is a known issue affecting this model. I am reporting this as a safety defect for the following reasons: the 2025 Blazer ev does not support apple carplay or android auto. With the built-in navigation disabled, the only way to navigate is by using a phone, which requires visual attention to a separate small screen while driving. Under pennsylvania's hands-free law (75 PA. C. S. A. § 3316. 1), use of handheld devices while driving is a primary offense, making phone-based navigation both unsafe and legally problematic. On at least one occasion, the navigation system appeared to be functioning normally at the start of a trip but was providing materially inaccurate directions mid-route (e. G. , instructing me to turn onto a road I had already been traveling on for miles). A system that displays as operational while delivering incorrect routing data is dangerous because the driver has no way to assess its reliability before departing. Gm's ev concierge characterized the loss of navigation as a non-safety feature issue and suggested using a phone holder. This response is inadequate given the vehicle's lack of carplay integration, which makes the built-in navigation the only safe, integrated means of route guidance. This vehicle has also required three prior unrelated warranty repairs in 10 months: a recall for a faulty rear parking brake harness (9/25), a 12v battery failure requiring flatbed towing (11/25), and a faulty tire pressure monitor (12/25). The pattern of recurring failures across unrelated systems at minimal mileage indicates a systemic quality issue with this vehicle.

16 Equipment problem of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 03/22/2026

There is a defect in the motorized electric charge port door. When you press the button it rarely works to open the charge port door leaving me with unable to charge my vehicle. I fear this will leave me stranded and my only course of action will be to rip the door off in anger. Many others are experiencing this issue. Chevy needs to address this.

17 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 03/20/2026

2019 chevy Blazer. Car would not turn off the electrical components when parked. Put car in park and walked away and there is a warning note that says, "shift to park. " but the car was in park. Called chevy and they know about the issue on the 2019-2023 vehicles. They sent me the technical service bulletin. Back in 2020, the car had the shifting harness and button replaced and we just had to have it replaced again because it is a consistent issue with the vehicle. Except this time, the dealer charged us $668. 40 to fix it! it is a known issue by the company and they sent me the service bulletin to get it fixed. It should have been covered by chevy, or, at least a recall should be instituted. The power to the car wouldn't shut off. We were able to jump the car to get it started again.

18 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 03/17/2026

My vehicle is breaking on its own. There are other vehicles riding behind me and it just stops out of nowhere. I think that's dangerous. I can be driving and I'm thinking I'm ok driving in a vehicle. Just just hit on break. I don't know where I just stops and while I'm driving and I think that's very dangerous.

19 Equipment problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 02/19/2026

At 48,000 miles, check engine light came on and loud fan sound continued after turning car off. Took car to dealership where I was informed I needed a new radiator and it is not covered by warranty.

20 Equipment problem of the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 02/13/2026

When shutting off the car, the fan continued to run. I started the car up again to see if this would allow the fan to turn off. No luck. The steering assist was dis-enabled on the dash. I took my car to the dealer to find out that it has a bad thermostat and that my radiator was leaking. The thermostat was covered but I had to use my extended warranty to pay the additional repair. My deductible for my extended warranty is $300. 00. My daughter has a 2021 chevy Blazer and the same situation happened. There was a recall and all her parts were covered.

21 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 02/09/2026

Thermostat housing replacement + dexcool: p0128, thermostat stuck. Was told this can cause engine to overheat.

22 Equipment problem of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 02/05/2026

I am filing a complaint regarding my 2024 Chevrolet Blazer ev (VIN: [xxx] ) due to an unresolved defect and repeated unsuccessful repair attempts. My vehicle has been presented to the dealership on four separate occasions for the same recurring mechanical noise issue. Despite these repair attempts, the defect has not been corrected. In total, the vehicle has been out of service for approximately thirty cumulative days. After the most recent repair, the same issue has again returned. I now have video documentation of the recurring defect. Additionally, during one of the repair visits, I was provided a gas-powered rental vehicle and incurred out-of-pocket fuel expenses, despite owning an electric vehicle. General motors has declined to offer reimbursement for these expenses. Due to repeated unsuccessful repair attempts and the amount of time the vehicle has been out of service, I have formally placed general motors on notice under michigan’s lemon law and am pursuing review for repurchase or replacement eligibility. I am requesting assistance from the attorney general’s office in obtaining a fair resolution, including reimbursement for expenses incurred and proper resolution of the ongoing defect. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

24 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/22/2026

I believe my thermostat is a problem. I keep getting "p012b" "coolant under operating temperature" codes on my obd2 meter. This seems to coincide with "driver assist reduced" on my instrument cluster on my dash board. I researched it and on a forum it sounds to be a very common problem. Someone said to report it on here. I can clear the "p012b" error code with my obd2 and my thermostat instantly becomes responsive however it comes back within 2 days or so.

25 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/14/2026

Action required steering assist reduced and coolant temperature at 0. Air con blowing hot and check engine light on. The vehicle became hard to handle and keep in my lane on the interstate at high speeds. The problem has persisted. It has not been recitfied. I am not driving the car to avoid damage and danger. I bought the Blazer on 1/6/26. The lights and issues began 8 days later. Dealership will not help me. 2020 Blazer rs awd bought from morgan city Toyota louisiana.

26 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/14/2026

2020 chevy Blazer thermostat isn't operating correctly.

27 Equipment problem of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/01/2026

The keyless entry and start system intermittently fails to detect the key fob, preventing the vehicle from starting, locking, or unlocking. On one occasion, a "service keyless start system" warning appeared on the dashboard while the vehicle was being driven at 75 mph on a highway. The driver was unable to safely stop and feared the vehicle would become inoperable in traffic if turned off. The issue first occurred on January 1, 2026. Both key fobs were tested with new batteries — both exhibited the same failure, indicating the defect is in the vehicle's key detection system, not the fobs. Roadside assistance confirmed this was an ev-specific system issue they could not resolve. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Chevrolet dealership for repair. It was in the shop for approximately 5 days. The dealership performed a full system upgrade and completed safety recalls but stated they could not replicate the key detection issue. Within approximately 30 minutes of picking up the vehicle after the first repair, the "service keyless start system" warning reappeared while driving at highway speed. Two days later, the vehicle completely failed to start, lock, or unlock, displaying "no key found" with the battery at 100% charge. The vehicle was towed back to the same dealership for a second repair attempt. During the second escalation, the manufacturer's ev support team noted that the manufacturer's internal system showed safety recalls still appearing as open, which appeared inconsistent with the dealership's paperwork from the first visit claiming those recalls were completed. The vehicle has been serviced twice for this defect. The component — the keyless entry/start detection system is available for inspection. The intermittent nature of the failure makes it especially dangerous, as the driver cannot predict when the vehicle will become inoperable. This defect poses a serious safety risk if the vehicle loses key detection while being driven at highway speeds in traffic.

28 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 12/19/2025

1) part that failed per general motors Chevrolet dealer was the thermostat along with coolant sensor. 2) I was getting warning notices on dash board screen stating (reduced steering assist) I was also getting a esc warning 3) problem has been repaired at gm dealer 4) parts were replaced by gm dealer/service center 5) esc warning light that came on for a short time after motor stopped for auto stop / start and then restarted. If auto stop / start was turned off esc warning did not come on. Reduced steering assist warning would come on but then go off. Finally the service engine light came on and stayed on. 6) gm service stated code for engine light was p01f0. Autozone read a p0128 code. 7) from investigating online this seems to be a very common problem with the 2019 and 2020 Chevrolet Blazer with the 6 cylinder engine. Note: I believe this should be a warranty repair due to the fact that 1) this is a known issue with the 2020 Blazer and known poor design 2) the warning about reduced steering assist and 3) esc warning.

29 Equipment problem of the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 12/02/2025

To whom it may concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding my **2024 Chevrolet Blazer** and the handling of my case by gm, gm financial, and affiliated dealerships. In *-zero temperatures**, the heating system in my vehicle completely failed while I was transporting my **newborn child**, creating a serious safety concern. I immediately sought assistance at **moran Chevrolet**, where I was denied service, told no loaner vehicles were available, and advised to continue driving the vehicle despite the dangerous conditions. Out of necessity, I drove over * miles** to * serra Chevrolet**, where my vehicle was finally taken in. I was provided a *-powered loaner** and was explicitly told that fuel expenses would be covered through * executive concierge**. Unfortunately, my experience with gm concierge has been unacceptable. I was assigned a representative but have **never spoken to her live**, despite numerous calls and clear communication of my availability. I have spent **hours** attempting to obtain reimbursement and assistance, without resolution. My vehicle is now **back in the shop**, and this matter remains unresolved. Additionally, although I have paid my vehicle payment to remain current, I am requesting **reimbursement of this payment**. This expense was incurred as a direct result of gm’s failure to provide timely service, a comparable loaner, and effective concierge assistance during a documented safety-related vehicle failure. I paid under necessity to mitigate further harm, and reimbursement is appropriate to fully resolve this matter. I am requesting: • reimbursement for fuel expenses related to the loaner vehicle • reimbursement of the vehicle payment made under necessity • a written explanation for the concierge communication failures • assurance that safety-related failures are handled promptly • confirmation that this complaint has been escalated.

30 Equipment problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 12/01/2025

Thermostat issues, gives warning steering assist decreased and then eventually check engine light, vehicle thermostat does not react/reach normal temperature, fan continues to blow after car is turned off for 5-15min, ac does not blow cool air or warm if heat turned up.

31 Equipment problem of the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 11/17/2025

My 2021 Chevrolet Blazer experienced a radiator failure at approximately 42,000 miles. The radiator and cooling system malfunctioned, causing coolant loss and triggering a warning light on the instrument panel. The failed radiator is available for inspection upon request. This defect put my safety and the safety of others at risk because a compromised radiator can lead to engine overheating, sudden loss of power, or even steering assist reduction while driving. These conditions increase the likelihood of an accident, particularly at highway speeds. The problem was confirmed by my Chevrolet dealer, who diagnosed the radiator as needing replacement. They initially quoted $1,800, later reducing the cost to $915. 90 after acknowledging that approximately 20 customers per month at their dealership alone are experiencing the same issue. This indicates the defect is widespread, at least regionally, and may be systemic across the model. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer service department, which is an authorized gm representative. No police or insurance inspection has occurred. Prior to the failure, a warning lamp illuminated on the instrument panel, alerting me to a cooling system issue. This was the first symptom I noticed before bringing the vehicle in for service. I believe this premature radiator failure represents a systemic defect in the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer’s cooling system. It occurred well within the 5?year/60,000?mile warranty period, yet the dealer claimed the radiator is not covered. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this issue, as it appears to affect many owners and poses a significant safety risk.

32 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 11/01/2025

Steering assist reduced message, then no ac, temp gauge stuck at cold, p0128 error code.

33 Equipment problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 10/25/2025

The thermostat is stuck open and needs replaced. If left as it is, could create overheating issues for the engine and even more damage. A service engine light was illuminated prior to finding the issue. The light was accompanied by a warning about assisted steering. Two days after the light first came on, a Chevrolet service department diagnosed the problem and is repairing it. An invoice can be provided at a later date once repairs are completed.

34 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 10/25/2025

Shift to park issue. Vehicle shifts into park but does not register as such. Therefore, the vehicle keeps running and will not turn off or allow you to exist the vehicle. This is already a know issue with certain gm vehicles as is evident by a recall and service bulletins. However, none of those include the 2020 chevy Blazer.

35 Equipment problem of the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 10/13/2025

When I try to park the car, it says shift to park. Sometimes I can’t get the car to go into park to exit the vehicle or other times. I’ve shut the door and it has stayed on with the accessories because it won’t shut off.
