Failure Date: 03/01/1999

Vehicle would vibrate whenever driving. Inspected by dealer and was informed that nothing was wrong. Consumer had a independent repair shop inspect vehicle and was informed that the front end was loose approximately 11/2 - 2", and that was not normal. They also said the torsion bar, ideter arm, pitman arm, and both ball joints are unsafe. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.

2 Suspension Torsion Bar problem of the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/03/1999

Vehicle was parked since Dec. 31 through Jan. 03, 1999 when she heard a loud noise and noticed that the front end on the passenger side of vehicle had dropped. Vehicle was towed to town and country auto. Consumer was told that the torsion bar had snapped, 407-365-2606 (larry). Consumer then took the defective torsion bar to a GMC dealer bill heard Chevrolet 407-321-7800. Heard said that they will warrenty the defect and repair free. Consumer will add VIN. # once received.
