Brakes on my 2001 chevy silverado have never been very good. They have degraded to the point that the vehicle can not reliably stop with reasonable braking distances. Many near accidents have happened and one crash where brakes could have contributed to the accident. The brakes have been serviced with pad replacement, rotors machined/replaced brakes bled, master cylinder replaced and nothing has made the brakes function well. Please note the incident date can be looked up but this is an estimated date reported here.

Brakes: when driving at low speed and applying the brakes, pushed pedal completely to the floor and the brakes did not hold. Had vehicle in for repairs, and dealer couldn't find any problem with the vehicle. Had new brakes and a master cylinder replaced, and the vehicle still does not stop when applying the brakes.

When applying the abs brakes on wet or dry pavement the pedal will travel to the floor, causing extended stopping distance which nearly caused a collision. Dealer has replaced the master cylinder and the brake shoes which did not remedy the problem. Please give any further details.
Master cylinder leaks, causing brake fluid to leak, and resulting in no braking ability. Master cylinder parts were replaced 3 times. However, problem is reoccurring. Dealer cannot determine the cause. Please provide further information.
