Potential brake failure on new vehicle. 2003 chevy silverado information center indicated "reduced brake power. " chevy dealership in new mexico indicated the intake manifold needed to be replaced to provide adequate vacuum for brake assist. New mexico chevy dealer did not have the parts to fix and I was traveling, so they flashed the ipc card to eliminate the message. I returned to houston, TX and westside Chevrolet flashed the ipc in an attempt to mask the problems and told me it was fixed.
The truck has been to the dealer often and they admited they could not guarntee they have fixed the front end the service mgr crossed his fingers and with a response that he hope so we dont drive the truck often for fear of an accident either the wheels locking up or the brakes failing, he said they tighted a bolt on the subframe and that fixed the front end but a gm engr told me that truck does not have a subframe only vehicles with unibodies use subframes, I have documented all services and responses if needed.

Almost on a daily basis, the brakes have failed. The dealership simply checks the drp operation and states that the truck is engaged as designed. These failed brakes have endangered the lives of passengers in this truck by running through red lights, when it should be stopping.
