At high engine rpm (4000 rpm or higher)while merging in to traffic, transmission grinds or refuses to go in to second gear. This has happened several times in my car. Gm replaced the transmission with the same type transmission and the same thing is still going on.

When merging into high speed traffic the transmission grinds/rejects second gear in the manual transmission causing the car to jerk and slow down unexpectedly. I almost was in a accident due to the missed shift.

Other distinct issue that may be related is that hard put into gear, primarily first and reverse, when stopped.
