2 Sway Bar problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt

Failure Date: 07/31/2015

Took car in to replace struts due to clunking sound while going over any surface that was not perfectly smooth. Turns out the sway bar and bearings were failing and needed to be replaced. Apparently I was very close to a possible bad accident. It was quite costly to repaint and I am finding this is a common problem gm is aware of.

3 Sway Bar problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt

Failure Date: 08/29/2014

My 2007 chevy colbalt is making knocking when I let off the gas, go over bumbs, or just set in the car. I have taken my car to a mech and they told me its my sway bar links and my strut/shock is leaking. How in the world can a sway bar link fail under normal driving conditions and not that very many miles on the car. It looks as thou I am not the only chevy owner with this problem. Gm needs to fix this serious issue! I know I cannot afford to fix it.
